This is fascinating but you don't explain how ARS GRATIA ARTIS. (Art For Art's Sake) came about or who came up with it. I did see it was on the original Goldwyn logo which I did find really interesting. Anyway, great job, a credit to RUclips. I knew the basics of MGM, my favorite studio, but had no idea it was all so complicated. A friend actually got me in to tour the studio when it was Columbia. But sorry I never got to sneak into the back lots and it broke my heart when they were torn down. Cheers. (The Transcript thing is really cool.)
@@AvuncularFeldspar It's okay. It's a smaller mistake you created. And I never knew that the MGM lion logo had the imprint of Marcus Loew on it either. Pretty cool, though.
As an MGM musicals fan, this is just awesome.

Bravo, Ari.
Great video. I watched a video of Louie Mayer making a speech to St Patrick in an old video from the early 20th century
The Bob Ross of teaching
Irving Thalberg was such a cool person. He made Hollywood, Hollywood!
Well done!
This is a terrific video. Lots of fun.
Thank God Ari Hoptman is still alive
Here because Amazon announced today they intend to buy up MGM.
That’s awesome
They were Wrong for removing him from his Own Company 🕵🏽♀️☝🏼
Marcus Loew->Löwe - lion in German.
At 6:24 to 6:30, wrong, I think you mean Irving Thalberg died in 1936. But close enough.
Did I get that wrong? Whoopsie! Sorry 'bout that.
