I like to think seeing Gabriella die and Carlos getting roped into this situation were the reasons why Amanda protected Daniel in SawII. After seeing one life no different than her own being snuffed out by Cecilia, and Carlos obviously having done nothing wrong, Amanda might’ve been trying to make right for being unable to save Gabriella…that being why she left Daniel somewhere “safe”, and aided him during 2’s game. In spite of how disturbed Amanda was to go through assisting Kramer with this stuff, there was that shed of humanity still in her to protect the kids who got involved.
I keep hearing people say this but I was told it's a stuntman which seems much more plausible. You think they would let an 80 year old man get water boardrd
I’ve seen some comments say that Cecilia intentionally gave Valentina and Gabriella bad instructions for their traps, to try and kill them off so she’d get more of the money. Apparently there’s a better way to cut with the Gigli Saw than what Cecilia suggested? Though I think Jigsaw and Amanda already screwed over Valentina when they instructed her to sever her leg THAT high up. With Gabriella’s trap, she would’ve been saved sooner had she just broken her wrist like she was about to at 26:50. The radiation machine was only set to swivel on the x axis, not up and down. If she broke her wrist first instead of listening to Cecilia, she would’ve fallen to the floor sooner and sustained fewer radiation burns. No way in hell Matteo could’ve won though, cuz he wouldn’t be able to guarantee he’d remove a big enough piece of his brain matter to dissolve in the time limit. And god forbid he removed a piece that reminds him how to breathe, speak, or walk, and the fact he wasn’t sterilized before the procedure. Winning his game, he’d still be on borrowed time, dead due to an eventual infection. Even if he won his game, he’d be dead days later.
I don’t think Cecilia was thinking about screwing over Valentina at first because it seems like all 4 of them were all under the initial panic of the situation during her game. The way she screams at Valentina to “save herself” seemed like a genuine reaction. Maybe it was in the back of her mind, but the whole “more money for me” probably wasn’t a full malicious thought up until Gabriela’s test.
the brain surgery thing is actually a real thing with a surprisingly high success rate. dying from having a part of your brain removed is so far only a 2 to 7% chance
Yea they even did those operations where they drilled holes to skull that only sometimes killed the person. But I am highly doubtfull you woulds passout from the trauma and bloodloss if you did it to yourself
Sticky fingers would probably be the easiest one to beat. After the first finger breaks, and figuring out the other 4 is all I have to sacrifice, I'd crank the dial as quickly as I can and get it done with. Will it hurt? Sure. But at least I'll live.
I was actually CRYING watching a SAW movie!! The performances of Bell and Smith was so wonderful that it tugged my heart so HARD! Glad you got a kick out of it. 😀
#TeamJigsaw This must be the point in time when John decided to change his tactic from punishing people for just every little infraction for not living their best life or not be being grateful for their lives to becoming more... to becoming a vigilante punishing mostly just scumbags. And with the plans he had made for Saw V and Saw VI, he became a full-fledged hero by taking out those that lower than the scumbags... cxntscxm.
How is he a hero at all? People deserve to die because they stole money? In this movie, they were stealing from rich people who think that their money solves all their problems, that they get to skip the line when it comes to medical treatment. Yeah it's scummy to give a sick person false hope, but people steal for all sorts of reasons. It's insane to act like the punishment for that should be torture and death.
29:10 I genuinely haven't laughed this hard in a long time, the fact that they had probably came up with dozens of plans and the way you said it qas just perfect haha
Cecilia tells Gabriela to break her foot first so she will die. That machine can be maneuvered side to side. Had she hit the ground, it likely could not aim that direction
This is in my opinion the best saw movie, the focus on John and his relationship with Amanda and showing the start of her downfall into insanity and the villain still being alive and her being smart and evil was great. Hopefully next movie shows John and Hoffman's relationship like this movie show Amanda and John's.

They could try to bring her back but this movie was a prequel before the first one. However it would have to be when he was alive. I heard they will continue doing more prequels and sequels
I know of some people who had a hemispherectomy performed (removal of half of the brain). As far as I know it is easier for children to recover since the remaining half of the brain relearn the lost part ;)
Still can’t figure out why they killed John in S3 😮 Now we’ve got this web of side characters and “never ending sidekicks”. It’s kinda weird watching these prequels/spinoff movies knowing John died almost 15 years ago.
I like how John didn't notice the HUGE red flag being that this "hospital" keeps changing their locations and keeping it a secret constantly. That would've been enough for me to bounce immediately 😂
"Thrive with half your brain being cut out? What kinda medical school did that guy go to?" Actually there are extreme cases where that has legitimately and successfully happened.
This was the best of the Saw franchise🤩. I used to think jigsaw was a psychopath and just randomly chose people for the hell of it. I saw it with my mom and we both enjoyed it. I was able to finally understand that John wasn't just choosing people at random he chose people that were harming those around them or themselves in general. He would look at his environment, the tools, the subject, and wat they r doing and makes a trap out of wat he sees. It was nice to see how John's mind works to create his traps🤩. Yes he was killing people but also not killing people. He used the games to give people a chance to kind of redeem themselves and give them a second chance to be better people on a twisted fashion. The reason they died was either they didn't want to play the game and follow the rules or they wasted too much time and died as well😵💫 I was rooting for John in this one but also for some of the people to escape but the main female antagonist....she needed to die I did not like her 😅 but all in all I consider this one of the best sequelsnto Saw and love the spotlight that John got compared to others films besides 2 and 3 🙂
Yeh you’ve got John Kramer all wrong lol. The point isn’t that he’s morally justified, the point is that he believes he is. There’s countless examples of where his methodology is flawed and isn’t what he thinks it is, and at the end of the day, he’s serving as the judge, jury, and executioner of people. You don’t have to think John is right, it’s simply interesting because he genuinely believes in his philosophy. Take Amanda for example. His shining prize and example of someone he “fixed” - she was still broken after her game. She just latched onto John as a father figure and her identity as the next Jigsaw, and eventually stopped believing in the games.
But who is John to be the judge or whether people are redeemed or not? If you steal money, you deserve to be tortured and lose limbs? And that's just if you survive, in most cases they die. What aspect of that is redemption at all? John is angry because he thought his money could solve all his problems and he got scammed. He's bitter and trying to spin it into this big issue of morality, when the truth is, it is immoral to be vigilante.

@@rafaelcruz9973 Well yeah, i can see that. For me the traps just were pretty lame and the twists at the end so stupid and unbelievable 😅 the first half was good
@@ville1345 I get that. The traps worked much better for me the first time I watched it, but rewatching it they're not really that effective (maybe the leg one). Still, this is the first movie that actually focused on John and Amanda and developed them properly (even more than Saw 3), that was my favorite aspect of this
I didn’t really like this one They try to moralize John but this movie is between the first and second and we see how worse he gets, Amanda too. The doctor turns into a cartoon villain at the end instead of just leaving and I didn’t care for any of the characters. Also, they added the little boy to get us to sympathize with John and it didn’t work at all for me.
Totally agree. John's moral superiority act was so annoying and then having him be like a sweet frail grandpa to that little boy came off so fake. It actually creeped me out so much, it reminds me of when a politician or a pastor has this public image where they pretend to be so simple and moral, but then you can see it's an act and they have a much darker side.

This one actually has done well I think that's because it completely focuses on John and not just kept him in the sidewalks like the rest of em.
Definitely
They took their time with it instead of rushing the entire production within 1 year.
The Saw series is literally a soap opera with torture….and I kinda love it!

Idk why this Saw gets higher reviews, tbh thought it was one of the worst ones XD
Same
They brought back the OG characters and made the movie from a simple premise, that's why people liked it. They went back to the basics
Still, this is the first movie that actually focused on John and Amanda and developed them properly (even more than Saw 3), that was my favorite aspect of this
I loved Saw X, easily my favorite of the franchise
I didn’t really like this one
They try to moralize John but this movie is between the first and second and we see how worse he gets, Amanda too.
