Totally going to say "Po-tah-toh" this week and see what happens. Maybe even "Blaahst" just for a good time.

LOL. I can see the headline now: 'PRONUNCIATION INCITES HOLIDAY BRAWL'.

Just found your channel and I love your sense of humor. 'And no, I don't want to talk about it' with your nib holder got a good chuckle from me

Awwwww thanks for the mention Irene! You're the sweetest! I'm so glad you got a Kakimori brass nib that writes well! I went through two before I switched to the stainless steel version (which has seemed MUCH more reliable than the brass version). Yoseka is absolutely the best. :) I hope you love it! PS - finally a bulb syringe!

It felt a bit awkward at first, but I'll continue practicing. Maybe another relative will get me the stainless steel nib?? 🤔😜

You are totally right about art mail, it is the best kind of mail besides when the income tax check comes in lol I love the walnut ink, I got it in a plateful pack a long while back and I just love that ink.

Yes, and 'happy mail' from nice people. I need to come up with a project for walnut ink - it's such a BIG jar!

@@INCWorks For sure. It took my an entire month, all of Inktober to finish a new Winsor and Newton black ink jar.

Thanks, Loondabo. 😊 I'm surprised there aren't more videos covering this item. The design is pretty noteworthy, in my opinion.

One of these days, I'd like to upgrade my nib-holder. I've seen some cool ones. The Kakimori aluminum one is VERY spiffy!

Hope you do a follow-up on the Kakimori pen. The ink flow of this pen varies depending on the angle held as demonstrated. This may take some getting used to. The sketch turned out very well I thought.

Thanks! Yeah, I hope further practice will make it feel less stilted and more natural.

What watercolours did you use for your fashion design girl at the end?? I loved the colours.

    • @INCWorks
      @INCWorks  Год назад

I'm not 100% positive, but they were likely Maroon Perylene (M. Graham) and Blue Indanthrene (Sennelier). With lots of water to lighten the values.

I saw the nib the first time when Jane Blundell talked about it in a video. I think it's so cool to use it as a desk pen at home and I wanted to get it too but it's been sold out currently at an online shop in Germany... I like line variation when I'm drawing with pen. It's not that easy to have that with a normal fountain pen that doesn't have a flex nib.

The ability to vary line width is why I liked inking with a brush. It's been cool discovering other inking options, such as this one. It's a clever design! I'll need a bit more practice before I'll feel comfortable drawing with it.

Kahhkee 😂mori.. is the pronunciation I have heard. It sounds more Japanese than khaki.. mori.. since you broached the subject.
    Great video, and beautiful drawing!

Hey, I just wanna know if that nib comes in Al-u-MIN- I-um 😋. I luv potato’s & PoTAHToes….bring ‘em ON! What eval ya’ call ‘em 🤗 So glad you are enjoying your sweet gift Irene. I grew up in a house with a daddy pretty strict w/grammar & manners. But he got pretty loosie-goose in his later years and we butchered words for entertainment…Flutterbye, Elfannut, HorsePistol [hospital]. Sooo a lil, tomAHToe, poTahtoe onTARio, ScenARio never hurt anybody ‘round here 🤓

I'd like a real fountain pen nib made of brass. I'll probably have to make my own. I've been looking for a modern nib as soft and flexible as vintage nibs. To no avail. Except for the zebra g nib, but it isn't tipped. Why of why can't they make zebra g's tipped and from brass. I'd buy that up in a second

The world of vintage pens sounds intriguing!
