Hi, would you be so kind to tell me if that was 8x8x10 you used, and for the deck frame, was that 2x8x10 ? Did you used bolts to secure the 8x8 to the frame or what did you used for fasteners ? Thanks a lot!
I didn't really. The weight is tremendous and is backed by the house. It's open and not very susceptible to high winds (already been through many). Any tornado or hurricane strong enough to move it would be knocking down the house long before that.
Understandable about the weight but how will be always leveled if not fixed with cement the corner fenceposts . I hope I made the question clear enough.
Sorry, there is not. Although I had a general idea of the overall size I wanted, it was all done out of my head and on the fly. I spent about $2,700 in the summer of 2020.
This is beautiful! I have a genuine question as I know nothing about construction: could you paint everything before assembling it? I thought that might be easier and save time, but I've never done something like this before. Thanks in advance to whoever answers!
I had thought about it during construction, but the reality was that it was so heavy and strong as it was, it didn't seem to need it. There is absolutely no wobble in the frame at all. I have pushed and pulled in all directions against the top frame and I just couldn't move it. If it ever develops a little wobble, it would certainly be easy enough to corner brace it at some later point.
So you just left the black weed mat exposed and didn't at least cover it with stones? That would be the polish on this Also, the hanging seat looks out of place not painted, and it could do with a proper table and chairs. This looks half-finsihed to me.
Black weed mat was covered with rock/gravel l along the edges and much of the center. If you look under there now it is covered with leaves and debris. Bench swing was stained. Didn’t want permanent table and chairs. We sometimes move table and chairs out there depending upon the occasion.
Thanks. I have an area in my backyard this will be perfect for. But, why did you have to spoil it by letting the wife in it? Won't happen at my house. This will be just for me and my beer drinking buddies.

Wow wow wow! Phenomenal job!
My best friend, that's a great video. I will always cheer for you in Korea I'm looking forward to a great video. Have a nice day.
You didnt need to put the post in cement? You just screwed them to the floor frame?
Fantastic work, looks amazing.
that is absolutely beautiful
Didn't see if you sealed any of your cuts. No joist tape either 🤔
Any type of tie down method for the posts?
Good job. Loved the video.👍
Excellent, this invention If it's been outdoors for how many years?
You have 1x4" on he roof?
How’d you get the power to the deck?
Where is this? Curious why you don't need footings in the ground, no frost?
This is beautiful, can you please share size of post (6*6 / 4*4) and rafter. I am planning to build similar.
Posts are 6X6. Rafters are 2X8.
Stunning ,, from Manchester UK

Is it possible to build something like this on top of an existing floating deck?
Looks great, well done
А зачем там камни? Для баланса вселенной?
WOW!! That's AMAZING!!!
Nice job
Really good idea
Estimated cost for this project please
How did you secure the columns in the ground ? I couldn’t tell.

Are they resting on anything? Are they just lag screwed on through the rims?

Is there plans and a material list available for this project?

u r an inspiration, sir !

About $2,700... in the summer of 2020 prices.
Was this in New Orleans?
Beautiful!
funtastic!
Nice build! What is the size of the corner posts?
6x6
6X6X10 (but sawed off a little of the length)
Amazing build, love it. What size rafters (length) and how much overhang? I want to build this!
16 ft. With an approximate 6 inch overhang.
What size is your deck? It looks amazing!
Noice!! What is the decking board size?
Sweet!
Superbe ! Bravo !
Great work!! Are you thinking to add corner braces for it to not wobble and be even more stronger ?

@@moxeyusa I think you have done an exceptional job and would love something like this in my garden 🥰
Deck size?
Approximately 12x16
@@moxeyusa awesome thank you!
Its not secured to the ground though. No plates or concrete. The hulk could smash that
Geaux 🐅s!!!
Definitely not in a climate where they experience thaw/frost heaves.
❤
Did a great job. To bad you didn't do a voice over explaining the steps, rather than the annoying music.
This is fine. Not good nor bad. It’s perfect. It’s fine.

I have never seen the logic in these pergolas they really should have a roof so you can sit out in the rain and enjoy all weathers but thats just me
