Hello peanut gallery! The half square triangle is such an easy and versatile quilt block to make that I think it deserves its very own series! It's perfect for beginner quilters. You can expect me to be adding to this series on a regular basis until I run out of ideas, which might be never! lol Thanks so much for watching! xoxo
Love your tutorials! It’s like going to a gf’s house & hanging out learning. As a beginner quilter ina family of very exact quilters it is great to find someone to learn from who isn’t. Thanks!
Thank you for the video. I'm just getting into quilting and watching videos of people who say everything needs to be square, blah, blah, blah. It's nice to know it doesn't have to be completely perfect for it to turn out nice.
I'm so excited bout another quilt series. I'm doing ur wonky 9 patch right now the easy method liked you showed and it went so fast. Will send photos when complete. Thanks Darlene.
Thank you again. I feel like I have to keep thanking you on each video because you deserve it. I would love to see a video on a full quilt with the triangles.
I get so much enjoyment watching you and things I thought I would never try (stepping out of that comfort zone) I "AM" going to do this. Thanks so much Darlene :~)
So brilliant Darlene, thanks. I keep trying to post comments on your wonderful tutorials but it says comments disabled! Anyway you are personally responsible for me NOT giving up today when I made a total mess because I hadn't measured properly. You are such a natural teacher!
Hi Darlene, thank you so much for this tutorial! The perfectionist in me wants everything to be lined up exactly so your reminder that it doesn't need to be is pretty timely and very much appreciated. PS I love how you used the word "funkified" :D
Hi are you sewing on an old singer? I have my moms 404, it sews perfect stitches every time and I love it. It reminds me of my mom , thanks for the tutorial . I am looking for that original foot u have on your machine, it sews a perfect quarter inch seam!
yea....dig this...super reasonable...I like your thoughts on it...eases up on the ocd aspect of quilting that I see in many videos...people can get really anal retentive....in quilting...eh if they gotta do perfection ...go for it...I'll follow your approach and avoid stomach probs...ulcers!
What SIZES would u start with using the second method to make The Eccentric star block.? I can't seem to figure it out! And I believe the center is a bit bigger. ANYONE?
