Why was Namor’s first tactical decision “kill the college student?” There were at least a dozen ways to legally intimidate Riri before resorting to murder.
Why would Namor care or know about whats considered legal or ethical to most of the world. He believes that strength and fear are the ways to control people and everyone except his people are lesser creatures.
Also, Namor knows that Riri cannot refuse the U.S. Government and he cannot just trust Riri with the secret of Talokan's location. Shuri was a different case. Why the U.S. Government relies on Riri Williams? ("I am not Tony Stark" reason -> Remember how only Tony was able to make a small Arc Reactor, no one else).
On the subject of the scene where Namor kills Ramonda with the water-bombs, I'm still shocked that the Wakandan royal palace 1) just has regular glass windows instead of some super durable transparent vibranium windows or something, or 2) doesn't have those bunker blast type shields that come out and wrap around the building. Sure, I get that they don't expect Wakanda to be invaded on a regular basis, but that's where the royal family and council have all their meetings, it's an important room. They should've known better.
Now that you mention it, why didn't the Queen at least have 1 or 2 Dora Milaje with her at all times especially in that scene? So many times she's travelling around alone didn't make sense to me.

I would have liked for Shuri to try telling Namor that attacking the entire world would rally all of Earth's forces against a single threat, and there are too many humans on Earth to take them all and expect victory, even with less impressive warfare and soldiers. It would be impossible to win that war without Wakanda's help, and he would be putting his own civilization in the world's crosshairs. Nah, it would be too soon after his story ended in the previous movie. The way they utilized him on the Ancestral Plane was perfect & exactly how I expected to see him-representing Shuri’s lust for vengeance. Maybe they can bring in variants of deceased characters for The Kang Dynasty & then use Secret Wars to bring in the even more iconic names like the NWH crew, FoX-Men, Wesley Snipes, & RDJ or Chris Evans. (I’m not expecting the last 3 but I could definitely see Tobey & Hugh accepting a role in an Avengers crossover).

I felt like a lot of the conflict in this movie could have been stopped with more skilled diplomacy.
I mean, this could be said about nearly any film with conflict. But diplomacy doesn't sell tickets.
It didn't really make sense attacking the girl in Boston before the Wakandans were given a chance to turn her over. But whatever. It didn't make sense for N'amor to go to war with Wakanda or anybody.

I would have liked for Shuri to try telling Namor that attacking the entire world would rally all of Earth's forces against a single threat, and there are too many humans on Earth to take them all and expect victory, even with less impressive warfare and soldiers. It would be impossible to win that war without Wakanda's help, and he would be putting his own civilization in the world's crosshairs. Conversely, if Talokan and Wakanda declared themselves as allies to the world, they might be able to intimidate them enough to ward off any attacks on either one.

Nah, it would be too soon after his story ended in the previous movie. The way they utilized him on the Ancestral Plane was perfect & exactly how I expected to see him-representing Shuri’s lust for vengeance.
Maybe they can bring in variants of deceased characters for The Kang Dynasty & then use Secret Wars to bring in the even more iconic names like the NWH crew, FoX-Men, Wesley Snipes, & RDJ or Chris Evans.
(I’m not expecting the last 3 but I could definitely see Tobey & Hugh accepting a role in an Avengers crossover).

I mean, Wakanda Forever's monologues are great, its just the reason why Namor is doing anything in this film feels so nonsensical.

Because he wanted to make Wakanda allies from the very beginning? Seriously, watch the movie. Even with Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, the decision would still be the same. The very first thing he does in the movie is act as a diplomat with Wakanda
@@jon66097 He threatens to destroy them if they do not kill the "scientist" (who, evidently, they know the identity of, and can find anywhere on the planet, as seen in Boston, but then they repeatedly refuse to kill), and then he threatens to kill the queen, then he kills the queen after attacking the city (again, threatening to destroy them if Shuri doesn't sign up), he then after fighting a bit with Shuri stabs her through the chest (with no effort being made to spare her) and only acquiesced when she was about to kill him.
Seems like Namor's doing a banger job recruiting Shuri. I mean, he also did give her the tour / jewelry, after threatening Wakanda again, to Shuri when he was talking about invading the world.
But yeah, I should "watch" the movie harder to rationalize Namor, lol.

Namor lives underwater. He may be an amphibian capable of breathing on the surface, but still needs water to live. Drying him will be very harmful.
