The ending where Namor straight up kills Shuri when he sees how few Wakandans are left works so well with the themes of the movie.
i was asking myself the same thing.. there were like 10 wakandans left ... he would have just ordered to kill them all and hunt injured shuri, namor was also healing at that point
It doesn't work since Namor only wanted to protect Talokan. His meeting with Shuri in Talokan was all about protecting Talokan. He wanted Wakanda as allies, not enemies.
And Namor didn’t even go to Villain Pub

Plus they have internet. If she knows about the "What are those" meme, she knows about the almost cataclysmic Avengers level event Ultron caused in Sokovia (an event that directly led to her father's death by Zemo)
@@justinnyugen7015 vision originally being a body for Ultron likely wouldn't have come up since it has nothing to do with why they died her help. As for everything that Ultron did, it's unclear how much of that event is public knowledge. Throughout the movie the only people who knew Ultron was a robot we're the people involved in the movie, the avengers, the twins, ECT. We don't know how much shield let the world know about to let that Information get to wakanda.
Wong deserves to be in every Marvel movie for this very reason.

I love how you pointed out the biggest issue with the movie; the villain was going to fail even if the heroes did nothing due to the other heroes in the universe.
To be fair, most of the existing heroes at this point would have a lot of trouble against Namor. Hulk might be able to fight him one on one, with Strange and Wong as the only people who'd stand a chance against the whole army.

We don´t actually speak Yucatec Maya, but we were coached by an Historian and translator that speak the language and he told us how to say the lines, but we´re glad that you liked it ;)

On the subject of the scene where Namor kills Ramonda with the water-bombs, I'm still shocked that the Wakandan royal palace 1) just has regular glass windows instead of some super durable transparent vibranium windows or something, or 2) doesn't have those bunker blast type shields that come out and wrap around the building. Sure, I get that they don't expect Wakanda to be invaded on a regular basis, but that's where the royal family and council have all their meetings, it's an important room. They should've known better.
Transparent vibranium? Our disbelief can only be suspended so much. How can this metal just be magic ‘do whatever’ material?
That glass barely got scratched by a spear of pure vibranium, which was later shown to be tearing through Shuri's ship
@burner-pp7bs the 1st Black Panther movie had a Vibranium car with windows that fully deflected bullets. They have the technology already
Now that you mention it, why didn't the Queen at least have 1 or 2 Dora Milaje with her at all times especially in that scene? So many times she's travelling around alone didn't make sense to me.
Namor has super strength and a vibranium spear and didn't break it in one swing. I don't think it's regular glass.
Wong's mirror dimensions always come in handy. I am bummed he doesn't use it more often; all marvel movies will be 2 minutes long.
Well it wouldn't work on Thanos when he has the space stone and it doesn't work on other magic users. Wong actually died in doctor strange but the time stone brought him back.

Why was Namor’s first tactical decision “kill the college student?” There were at least a dozen ways to legally intimidate Riri before resorting to murder.
Why would Namor care or know about whats considered legal or ethical to most of the world. He believes that strength and fear are the ways to control people and everyone except his people are lesser creatures.
Not to mention I doubt the government didn’t make a way to just make another machine so killing Riri is just irrelevant
Because that is exactly what Namor would do irrespective of the universe he belongs to.
Also, Namor knows that Riri cannot refuse the U.S. Government and he cannot just trust Riri with the secret of Talokan's location. Shuri was a different case. Why the U.S. Government relies on Riri Williams? ("I am not Tony Stark" reason -> Remember how only Tony was able to make a small Arc Reactor, no one else).

They'd probably end up in an incredibly uneasy enemy of my enemy is my friend situation. Namor would have a hard time trusting such an ruler with such a "Americanized" conquering style and Killmonger would not be at ease with such a powerful enemy he can't easily beat

I felt like a lot of the conflict in this movie could have been stopped with more skilled diplomacy.
I mean, this could be said about nearly any film with conflict. But diplomacy doesn't sell tickets.
It didn't really make sense attacking the girl in Boston before the Wakandans were given a chance to turn her over. But whatever. It didn't make sense for N'amor to go to war with Wakanda or anybody.
@@jakepullman4914 But the lack of diplomacy doesn't make sense in the story. I would have liked for Shuri to try telling Namor that attacking the entire world would rally all of Earth's forces against a single threat, and there are too many humans on Earth to take them all and expect victory, even with less impressive warfare and soldiers. It would be impossible to win that war without Wakanda's help, and he would be putting his own civilization in the world's crosshairs. Conversely, if Talokan and Wakanda declared themselves as allies to the world, they might be able to intimidate them enough to ward off any attacks on either one.

Nah, it would be too soon after his story ended in the previous movie. The way they utilized him on the Ancestral Plane was perfect & exactly how I expected to see him-representing Shuri’s lust for vengeance.
Maybe they can bring in variants of deceased characters for The Kang Dynasty & then use Secret Wars to bring in the even more iconic names like the NWH crew, FoX-Men, Wesley Snipes, & RDJ or Chris Evans.
(I’m not expecting the last 3 but I could definitely see Tobey & Hugh accepting a role in an Avengers crossover).

Great as always. I'm surprised there wasn't a bit about the Wakandans trying to fight the Talokans in the ocean on a boat - in their own domain where the Talokans are most powerful. That seemed like the biggest plothole to me. Surely luring them somewhere closer to land, or even fighting in from some kind of hover carrier flying above the water would have been more advantageous.
They didn't go there intending to have a full on battle, they went to capture Namor then leave. They couldn't leave after they caught him because the water bombs disabled the boat.

I think Angela got robbed of an Oscar. I'm happy for Jamie and she's a great actress and she was really good in Everything Everywhere and gave me laughs. But Angela gave me chills and I think it was a bit disappointing for me.

Namor lives underwater. He may be an amphibian capable of breathing on the surface, but still needs water to live. Drying him will be very harmful.
