Something I like is that each of the faction abilities is accurate to the Gangs lore. Maelstrom has Rage, which gives them street cred the more they attack makes sense as a canon 3rd of them are clinical cyberpsychos The Tyger Claws get a resource called Revenge Tokens that they get when they lose a figure in combat, more for a defensive playstyle and in lore, they are known for sending their entire gang for revenge if even one of them gets hurt The Valentinos are able to get a personal opportunity to exploit and focus around claiming objectives more, as their gang is focused on family bonds and values Finally, the Voodoo Boys are able to get combat bonuses with netrunners and do hacking better than anyone else, which canonically, they are the only gang with an Extreme threat level in the Net I just thought the faction abilities were done pretty well to remain lore accurate and give players a good chance at winning with whichever gang they pick.
I also own the legend pledge and the game is great. We didn’t even yet used the add on modules the core game in itself is such a well designed game . Happy to see more gangs of night city content from you
Loving the Gangs of Night City content. Will we be seeing more 2077 from you? You seem to be the only person actively making content for the board game, that is a big fan of the lore and know what you are talking about. Keep it up!
Probably at least one more video. I really focus on making content for games that I'm passionate about - regardless of weather or not they are at the top of the charts. Thanks for your kind words!
@@Crabbok I would love to see a video explaining how to incorporate each KS expansion, individually or blended together. Or if you do end up painting one or two minis would love to see how they end up!!
From what I've gathered there are only 10 Edgerunners in the retail edition. Johnny Silverhand, Jackie, Judy, Rogue, Takemura, Nix, Viktor, T-Bug, River and Kerry. I have noticed there seems to be a general lack of anyone making videos about this game post release. Almost everything I've seen is a Kickstarter hype video. As much as I like the art design and the setting of Cyberpunk 2077 I don't think I'm really sold on the game, not in a drop £80+ plus on it for retail edition way.
Yeah, the retail edition feels like a scam. It costs about 100 € in Europe and it has very few content. I can't recommend buying the retail edition, especially not for the full price that is currently asked. Although it's a good game. Really infuriating if you compare this to other CMON games that cost less and have more content in the base game, like Rising Sun for example.
Are solos the only ones that can kick other characters out ofbpoi? Is that considered 1 move? Moving from heywood into the other sector and entering the poi?
Question: Do you HAVE to move a Solo, Techie or Netrunner 1 space or can you leave them where they are and just start a firefight, hire or netrun respectively? I couldnt find that in the manual.
I don't understand the netrun. 1. Do i just keep rolling until i either want to quit or I get burned? Or is it only one roll per netrun/turn? 2. Can I continue progress on the next netrun or do they always reset to start from scratch? The rulebook does not explain this.
You'd have to move them out first - but I'd like to point out that it typically doesn't matter which miniature is in a POI - usually only matters that you HAVE it - not which character is in it.
I was going to back this game, but CMON in their typical fashion made sure there was way too much KS exclusive characters and too many expansions, making the game look really bloated.
Try the Monster Fight Clilub Red Combat Zone. It's a better skirmish miniatures game that's streamlined too with fast gameplay. Since it was a big hit MFC is gonna do a 2077 Edgerunner version this year too.
I don't know if the game is bloated, since I only played the retail edition. But I have to say the retail edition really feels like there was content stripped off.
Hello there! lol Yeah played it six times now so all good on the how to. Played the motor pool story yesterday. Those smart weapon combat cards are for a particular story not for tutorial along with other story components. No 3D hideouts? Hmm bad call not getting those.
I got everything including the hideouts, but didn’t want to use them here because i didn’t want to confuse people who might only have the retail version.
@@warpaint9385 I agree. Also the drones being turned into miniatures also helps teach the game better because it helps a new player view them as a miniature that you can sacrifice rather than a token that can be confused with a hideout

Thank you for the video. Played the game yesterday and its a lot of fun.
Glad you enjoy it!
This is great! Please do a video for the explanations!
I know that was just kind of an overview of the core game, but it doesn’t seem to be a very intensely complex game which I am happy to hear
lol this seem complicated as hell
Thanks for the video! Really well done
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the video!!! Just played my first game and it was awesome!!!!
We love crabbok!
Awww thanks!
Useful, thanks for the video!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Thanks for making it!

A teaching video - much above the average
In one move tuen you can move into an adjacent district AND move the enemy character off the POI and claim it?
Great explanation, that board! I want to frame it!

23:10 Kang Tao guns are a story component, shouldnt be in the combat deck.
Thank you
Does recruiting a unit in a zone with an enemy unit automatically trigger firefight?
the Kang Tao cards are story specific
Question: Do you HAVE to move a Solo, Techie or Netrunner 1 space or can you leave them where they are and just start a firefight, hire or netrun respectively? I couldnt find that in the manual.
Good question. I would think mechanically it would make sense that you can move them "UP TO" one space, and then start the fight.
I don't understand the netrun.

The rulebook does not explain this.
Roll once. Keep your progress each time.
15:50 its a datashard, not a flashlight !! I'd probably be the first player in your game tho
can you swap your own units in P.O.I's or do you have to move them out first?
You'd have to move them out first - but I'd like to point out that it typically doesn't matter which miniature is in a POI - usually only matters that you HAVE it - not which character is in it.

I'm sick and tired of CMONs FOMO model. It's blatantly anti-consumer and is massively annoying. Not to mention, their customer care is atrocious.

Very good video
Thanks!
what is the size of the board?
Is this worth playing by yourself?
Have you played it solo?
Can this game be played single player?
Yes, but I don't know how.

@@Crabbok those tokens are really underwhelming compared to the size of the board so the 3D hideouts make a huge difference aesthetically.

Yes
I call this one "crappy random Ankh" 😛
🤯 Too complicated for my simple mind.
you know, your helmet would look less silly if you crossed those tubes BEHIND it.
Combat system is a shit
Жду, когда появится русская локализация. Игра заинтересовала. Спасибо за обзор и экскурс по правилам! :)
