Finding fossilised faeces

Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research palaeoecologist Dr Janet Wilmshurst and her team, Dr Jamie Wood and Dr Jessica Rivera-Perez, search for kiore coprolites on Mt Nicholas Station and Walter Peak Stations. They then aim to reconstruct the impact of the introduced Pacific rat (kiore) on the native biota of NZ through the analysis of coprolites. This short film explores with them as they search for areas where they can find the fossilised faeces for their research in this Marsden Funded project.
