I can't even imagine that i was able to finish this video and to finally show it to you guys. This is like my most cursed project ever. Goes from crashes, vegas files won't work anymore over laptop died to not enough time to work on it. And i'm relieved that this has an end now haha.

I can't give you this as a "late" birthday present, would be too awkward haha. I wanna give this to you cause i REALLY appreciate you as a friend and i did my best to make you proud (as my teacher haha) with this video.
You already know that i've started several projects, also multifandoms ones. But my vegas kept crashing cause it couldn't handle all the footage and in the end i wasn't even able to open any files anymore. Which sucked big time cause i actually liked the parts i had so far. Anyway .. so vegas won and i decided to go with only one fandom .. but which one? I think of all the shows i'm vidding the 100 would be the one you'd enjoy the most. I'd have loved to try twd for you (i already had a nice idea). But getting the eps in a good quality was a bit of a problem back then (also these loading times omg). So instead of surprising you with a multifandom i tried to achieve an epic editing with sound effects. And yeah tbh .. the song kinda killed me haha I hope see now why xD Especially combined with a show like this where good cinematograhpy clips are really rare so yeah. I did my best to get the thing around and make it look "easy flowing".
I knoow maybe you'd have liked sth else better but that was all i was able to do at that time (laptop dying time lol)
Maybe multifandoms work better with the new laptop now. I mean i rendered this whole video in 3 min .. can you even imagine hahah
And yeah i'm kinda afraid to show it to you haha .. after the masterpiece you uploaded .. damn! But i can't change it anymore ^^.

Your timing is dead spot-on and the rhythm of the video and sound effects flow really well altogether. The juxtaposition of the scenes you have chosen to parallel one another is brilliant. I love how you showed how much survival has changed them in the show from beginning to the end of the video. Honestly, I'm in absolute awe just watching this superb quality masterpiece you have created.

Soo here I am at last.
I don't think I have to say again how many times I have watched this video since you uploaded. Countless, really. You have this way of going about with your videos, which is just a truly amazing gift. I could only focus on the visual side of this vid (which I'm going to, also) but that would only be scraping the surface. It's like being fascinated with a book because it has a beautiful cover, and then only admiring the cover without reading that book. A book which would amaze you, thrill you, inspire you, take your breath away.
Your video is that book. You see the beautiful exterior polished to perfection and go: WOW. This all looks so good together! You love it but... that's it. That's all there is to find on the surface, or on the cover. The story isn't on the cover. The emotions aren't on the cover. The heartbreak is not there.
But the heartbreak is in your video, and a lot of it. Because you took the main narrative from the show and presented it in a heartbreak-inducing way. You showed the desperation, the struggle, the internal conflict of emotions. Kill or be killed in its purest form. In their world you don't make it unless you adapt to the brutal conditions. And you took it to the next level of storytelling. It's a skill to show this story in 2 seasons, but it's SUCH a skill to show it in 1 and a half minutes without losing the emotional impact.
There is just so much to discover once you look past the cover, which is the incredible editing. The symbolism, the progression. They started out as a bunch of scared kids. They might've not been entirely innocent but truth be told, it was easy to get locked up in the Ark so they weren't all criminals too. The scared teens sent out to die made it on their own because they saw what had to be done and adapted. The curiosity and thrill of the discovering from the first clips in the video quickly turns into paranoia and fear, quite understandably btw. The transition between those two states was so effortless here. Then comes a chapter about defencelessness, with my favourite 'gun-no gun' parallel. It illustrates how, although they are starting to change, they're not experienced killers. Just a bunch of kids trying to somehow survive and seem scary with their big guns. But deep down they are so scared. At that point they don't yet realise the future that awaits them: more suffering, more killing, more difficult choices. That change is so visible in the two voiceovers: "Don't shoot, please" and "Why not?". I get goosebumps everytime the second one comes because it opens a new chapter in the whole storytelling of the video. It's so cold and indifferent, coming from someone who already knows the consequences of being compassionate in that world.
About the technical side, briefly. The timing is impeccable, the sounds are perfect. Hands down, perfect! The parallels. THE PARALLELS. Aside from my fave one, I also ADORE the one from 0:40. And the countdown. And the coming closer. And the explosions. And just ASDFGHJKL;
And to think this is for me! I seriously... can't. Don't even know what, just can't. Just can't with you.

Great trailer/edit of the show to the end of season 2. Brilliantly shows the arcs of many of the characters. Their journey from (mostly) innocent children to killers, it truly shows the survival instinct which is one of the main themes throughout the first 4 seasons of the show.
