I have watched this video several times now. It finally sank in! For me the keyword is still hitting through the ball. Once I began swinging” high to through “ with the right grip the slices became more “biting”. Thanks again for the excellent instruction.

    good tips!
your sliceschool really makes me break it down and finally understand how to improve it without skipping a step.

In my opinion, more higher bouncing ball comes, more vertical must be racket face at contact and vertical chop motion (for balls higher than shoulder level only vertical chop motion available), we can see it in pro's play. For lower bouncing balls - face is more opened, and near the ground so opened in the sky. Then racket slides at bottom of the ball then raises through in direction of shot. Also, footwork factor affects this motions. More-follow-through-ball slice require step-in court or similar motion with weight transfer. And this slice is more powerful and hard to handle than only vertical-chopped shot.

Thanks for the video. Now I understand why the pro slice down a lot and across the body. versus more forward as you showed in the video.

This is so very good, thanks a lot. I could get immediate improvements, but I am unable to manage slice on high balls with this. Could you please guide on that?

What's the material that this court floor was built? This seems me like a type of carpet

I think the short choppy swing is better to hit a short cross court slice and your technique is better to hit deep in the court.

Great video but it’s all changed now as it’s more the European slice now coming across the body hitting later rather then the American slice which is more under spin. The European is more slice moving away after the bounce. Not disagreeing with you as I think you’re great but I guess it’s more about the level of the players you’re teaching. Thanks for your video. 👏👍
