Just bought this Catch Surf Wave Bandit EZ Rider Ben Gravy 9’0” foamie @Surf the Greats in Toronto as my first surf board. Can’t wait to start learning to surf on this board on Lake Ontario.

Just got your 8’ model and went back to watch this. Heading out Mon-Wednesday this week and stoked to the gills. I’ve waited years to get back into surfing. Moved to Ocean View / SIC this past January. Was aiming to get in waves this Spring/Summer and had a work accident and prolonged further. 7 disc in my lower back. But I’m good thanks to the Lord and all your positive videos. Keep doing what your doing 🤙🏼 Oh yeah!!! Heritage had one more in stock and I snagged it for the dream 🏄♂️
Just learned how to surf this past month. Started on a 6'6" wave bandit. It took 2 sessions to get up, but now 15 sessions in with it im having a blast every day. Trying to learn how to pump the wave and get more speed. Might need to switch to a hardtop?
No problem with trying different boards, hard, soft, dif fin set ups, etc, but I think you're on a good path, learning to gain speed will just happen over time as you keep surfing!

What an "unreal" day for you today. You got your signature surfboard and a pair of Ben Gravy Converse (The New Ben Gravy Converse Model - Lets Go Converse). Also, another year with Jordan. That guy was surfing with no wetsuit. I had to check and it said 61 degree water temp in Atlantic City. That's is pure hypothermia. I've surfed in 66 degree water temp with no wetsuit and it was brutally cold (no fun at all). I'd wear a 3/2 full suit in 61 degree water. Again, congratulations on everything.

Hahaha, from what I'm seeing at market it appears Wave Bandit is a budget label from CAD's of the CS shapes. I guess its the reverse business model of AGIT, start mass market with Wavestorm, and then offer refined Stormblades. Catchsurf is still defining their market and is holding these budget models back while they get top dollar for Skipper. ;) I've seen a few Wave Bandit performers at rental shops in SC (across from the pier) and LB at Thalia. I've seen some weird things happening in the foamie scene. Todd Greco has some stories. ;)
