A fifth season of "Stranger Things" is expected in 2024. Actor David Harbour told GQ that he expects filming to begin in 2023 for the fifth season of "Very Stranger Things," and that it will premiere in mid-2024.

Trailer mashups are often created for a movie that does not exist now or to change the genre of an existing film. These are derivative works as defined by the United States Copyright Act 17 U.S.C. § 101, and as such, may find protection from copyright claims under the doctrine of fair use.
The trailer mashups are not only a user generated form of digital creativity but a way to create anticipation for future releases, working in tandem with current movie trailers. Movie trailers are designed to give minimal plot detail and to create hype and anticipation. Fan made trailer mashups allow the audience to perform their own cinematic spin on current movie footage. This allows the trailer to focus on a specific actor or portion of the film. It could even change the plot or genre of the film entirely.

Stranger Things is an American science fiction horror drama television series created by the Duffer Brothers for Netflix. Produced by Monkey Massacre Productions and 21 Laps Entertainment, the first season was released on Netflix on July 15, 2016. The second and third season followed in October 2017 and July 2019 respectively, and the fourth season aired in two parts in May and July 2022. In February 2022, Stranger Things was renewed for a fifth and final season.
Set in the 1980s, the series centers around the residents of the fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana, as they are plagued by a hostile alternate dimension known as the Upside Down, after a nearby human experimentation facility opens a gateway between it and the normal world. Now, if they'd had taken more obscure video clips of Silent Hill and none of the dialog, it would be better, but you can't expect me to or others to like it if it adds in dialog that literally holds no correlation to Stranger Things. Yeah, different things, different genres, I get it, but at least put in dialogue that has an inkling of truth towards what you're trying to make it seem like. You can't have Stranger Things as a hot dog and try to compare it to Silent Hill as a fish in the Pacific Ocean. It doesn't go together. Anyone can toss two movies together and call it something. It'd be like putting Rambo and Barbie together in a movie and calling Rambo 5.

I believe that Season 5 of Stranger Things is going to have inspiration from "Aliens" (Bug Hunts by soldiers) Silent Hill ( Hawkins cordoned off like Chernobyl) and Red Dawn ( Children helping in the battle against the Upside Down). I am kind of flummoxed at how this season will go because I don't think we will get to enjoy much if any "mundane" life happening for our favorite characters. Where will the humor elements come in? Or any romance? All simultaneous with the action and horror? It is going to be a very long stretch of waiting and anticipation for this one! How the heck will they pull it off and who will survive? Can any of it be happy enough to justify the loss of life in the story? It boggles the mind with the sheer number of possibilities and which ones the Duffer Brothers ultimately choose to resolve their epic tale of horror /adventure. 💀📼
