When I was a young and dumb I had a red Nissan Pulsar with t-tops for a few years. I bought a set of 13” Crown wire wheels from some dude down the street. It was a harcore “mexi poke” but I loved my lowrider even though I’m white as a ghost. Those were the days, either playing with the car or trying to nail my gf…
I want to support and love all my other automotive enthusiasts but the stance stuff makes that difficult. When you objectively make a car worse at being a car, I have this hangup. But I've been trying to see it as art rather than performance, but it's a hard mental switch.
Flush wheel fitment is such drama. lol I had 18x8 +40 wheels, where the front wheels were flush, but the rear wheels were tucked. When I went to test fit Brembo calipers, they didn't clear up front by just a couple of mm. I didn't want to run spacers. Instead I purchased a new set of wheels: 18x8 +35. This time, the front wheels poked, but the rear wheels were nearly flush. After test fitting, the front Brembo calipers cleared the front wheels just fine, but I wound up having technical issues with the whole setup and decided to leave the brakes alone for now. At the moment I'm researching more about brake caliper fitment, which will determine my next wheel setup. Ultimately I'll need two different offsets to get the front AND rear flush. It has been a whirlwind of emotions trying to find something in 5x100 that has multiple offsets and is offered in 19". lol I think I've settled on Japan Racing SL01 wheels, although now I have to see who'll import them from Europe. Anyway, I appreciate the vid!
God what a nightmare. This keeps me up at night bc I want flush fitment as wide as I can go that will also clear Brembos, but I want a square setup for easy tire rotation and I want to get it right the first time so I'm not wasting time and money on multiple wheel orders 😭
What ever happened to the fitment industries channel? Just curious😅 Still love your video's Alex, if my country had a better exchange rate, i would buy from you, looking for wheels and tyres for 2012 GT86 at the moment.
I'm trying to make a good daily drive out of my 8th gen accord. My plan is to get a 17-inch enkei performance j10 wheel. I'm confused about what coilover to get for daily drive ability, but get a nice lowered look. I all plan for about 1 to 1 1/2 inch drop.
Right here is a great option for you! martiniworks.com/products/suspension/coilovers/bc-racing-br-series-coilover-08-12-honda-accord-09-14-acura-tsx/ BC's are a great option for a daily driver that gives the adjustability you're after. If you have any questions or need help just send us a message!
what would be my best rim and tire size for a 23 wrx on faction fab fr spec v2(i was looking for flush) scared to spend money cause ik ima mess it up lol
I have a Porsche Cayenne with OEM air suspension. It's nice, however it is really slow both up and down. I don't really care how fast it is up, but I'd like for it to be faster downwards, how can I make that happen? Bigger valves, or something else? Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work with perfectly long and informal videos!
Sometimes people make aftermarket solutions to adjust factory OEM air suspension. Typically the size of the air lines controls the speed of airing up and down.
I have a '19 Corolla Hatchback (non-GR, I ain't rich). I'm planning on getting some BC Racing Coilovers and a set of 18" wheels (probably Enkei Kojins). I'm looking for a flush fitment, so I'm assuming that I will need wheel spacers too. What is the best way to estimate the what size of wheel spacers will be needed. Loving the content. Thanks!
Maybe it's just because I wasn't looking for anything specific in particular, but I got aftermarket wheels the same size as my stock wheels with some Bc coilovers(even on my old racelands) I would say the fitment is almost perfect. I'm just trying to dial in the right height at the moment with the BCs 😂
Hey Alex do you have a suggestion for a Mazdaspeed Miata exhaust? I don’t want one too loud but I wanna be able to hear the car. LOVE YOUR CONTENT, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

This is truly iconic timing. I just slapped +35s onto my E90, and i am now dealing with a wheel arch gap wider than my arm. Coilover time!
have fun

+35 ? Width?
@@davconelectricoffset
@masoncushnie5494 yes I get that, offset means nothing without width.

So, proper fitment is considered "old-school fitment". Why is it that everything I like makes me feel old. I'm only 36 lol
First literally Heya Martini
Howdy

Day 8 asking for a how to modify a 4g prelude
Mom said it's my turn to contribute to the algorithm
But my fitment is pretty good for lowering springs 😢

The wife's NA Miata runs a mild Poke/Old School fitment with a chrome lip wheel. Anyone who sees it seems to really like the look.
great video Alex! Information I wish my 16 year old self knew haha. Learn the hard way though that’s for sure.
