I understand and identify with your spirit, Leila. By age 3 year I was riding horses by myself. At age 10 I was riding race horses out of starting gates. Last year I went to Spain and rode Andalusian horses. There is a freedom and serenity riding horses that I have not found anywhere else.
Mara Segal ...today I shed tears again after seeing this video again...your words are understood. I am preparing to ride again after 5 years of illness...& I am scared I will back out. Knowing that the key to my emotional happiness has always been on the back of a horse...that hope of feeling free from my current personal pain...is just that...hope. Please say a prayer that I can ride like before...You replied to me at such a huge turning point in my life, & God Bless you for it!
If I may say Leila, the last five years have been you releasing unhealthy energy that had built up in your body. Life has taught you what you don't want and therefore you are stepping into a much stronger way of living. Where your inner light may have been dimmed, now things are unfolding for you exquisitely and you are shining more brighter. Fear (being scared) is a lie. Don't listen to the fear rather embrace the joy and excitement of stepping out of the darkness you once dwelled. You are an eternal being connected to all that is around you and the majestic horse you will be riding is an extension of the brilliance in you. Do not fear. Let that brilliant light in you pour from every part of your body, at the deepest cellular level. Tell yourself, "Every day in every way things are getting even better."
