I think they said at the beginning that she was able to stay at the old school because they already lived in LA, which is why she develops that relationship with that girl so quickly and the other girls already pick on her. I wish they would have done more with the kidnapping storyline, and maybe connected it to the house; it seems like that was just thrown in there for conflict. Overall, I did enjoy both episodes though.
My wife and I are wicked big AHS fans but Rubber (Wo)man was kind of a disappointment. We were both wicked excited to have a new platform for the AHS universe but as y’all accurately point out, it was a lot of just rehashed/repurposed material, I.e. plot line, characters, dynamics, etc. that said, it wasn’t AS BIG a disappointment as some might think it was. Was still nice to see the Murder House front-and-center again and to have the series go back to its beginnings…even if it wasn’t as imaginative as we might’ve hoped. Anyways, keep the vids comin guys, we’ll be lookin to y’all for more thoughts and feedback!
i agree with the point that we really didnt need to go to murder house for these 2 episodes ESPECIALLY if we are going back there in episode 7. we have already gotten so much murder house i feel like they have done enough with it. i dont understand why people still want more violet and tate what are they going to do? play their card games? boring. we should go back to the asylum or even the freak show as you guys said. i havent given up hope though still very excited to see the rest of american horror stories and to see all the tier videos that are to come!
They moved but she was still able to go to the same school she's been attending with her best friend. I didn't want to see old characters either lol unless they were minor. It would have been really cliche. Unless it was subtle like someone found a family pic of the Harmons or something. Ruby was beautiful had the look but not the acting skills. I kind of think they made her character bland and out of nowhere bc she might have not had the acting chops to pull of a drawn-out character. I didn't know she was Lauper's daughter. I liked her though. I wasn't a fan of Tate and Violet in the OG.
I still loved it. Love murder house. Some people complained about to much Murder house but I fell like more world building is great. Rubber women was hot! Missed the old ghosts but get why. I'm a straight dude so watching with my homophobic dad was awkward as F. Paris Jackson was amazing and hope she comes back in other episodes or seasons.
Why didn't we have the dads be the serial killer or at least one of them being the Rubber Man that appeared throughout episode one? AHS could explained that both of the dads or at least one of them turned into a killer to cover up for his daughter's murder of the four girls because he just snapped due to his daughter having been kidnapped for ten days. I didn't appreciate the jumpscares.
To be fair...I fell asleep during the second episode but I found the first episode to very forced/stiff. I'm glad Paris Jackson got to appear in the episodes, but it all just felt so cringey. Like the whole conversation between Scarlett and her two dads about her interest in violent porn and needing a therapist just felt so.... silly? Lol. The lens that Ryan Murphy uses to explain gay storytelling is a little cringe and feels a little awkward as well.
Kaia Gerber forgot she wasn't in the catwalked and forgot to ACT.
