I love how it’s feathered and has accurate anatomy Proving that accurate dinosaurs can work in horror! Plus it’s still scary while acting like an animal! It’s just hunting but you can feel the tension and fear! Especially love the shot where you can hear a sound and the teno moves it’s head to reveal a terrifying raptor! It’s pose is so ominous
Fantastic work! Loved it! Not to be gruesome, but it would be really cool to see the Deinonychus catch it’s pray and dispose of it like a modern raptor, by pinning it to the ground with its talons, flapping his wings to keep stability as its prey tries to wiggle away, while it begins killing it biting and tearing at it with its mouth. Not pleasant to see, I know, but this likely modus operandi has yet to be visualized in animation-or at least, I haven’t seen it. And it would be a great teaching tool to have, giving contrast between the “real” way these animals would have hunted versus what is still depicted in Hollywood.
@@Blackratsnake yes indeed. Only probably there is (if we’re keeping this realistic) a Deinonychus would not attack a grown Tenontosaurus which is much bigger than itself. That’s why predators-especially solo hunters-go after the young, old, sick, and injured. It cannot risk hurting itself in a failed attack (and 9 out of 10 predator attacks fail), because one bad fall can spell doom. A broken leg, arm, tail, jaw, ribs, etc., would make it very difficult or impossible to hunt until healed-assuming it even survived that long. So I agree that visually it would be nice to see a change of pace. But realistically I don’t see that happening. Please, please do a film like this. Your work is absolutely stunning, especially with your use of Utahraptor. *Later edit* Actually more likely a Deinonychus or similar Dromaeosaurid.
I thought that was a Utahraptor at first but then saw how fast it ran and how small the tenonto was, I was like "wuh" but then I finally realized "oh its a baby and that's a nychus" this is so well made would absolutely love to seen like this but like how it got to this
Raptor: I’ve enjoyed the chase, Tenonto. But I think we’ve reached the end now, you and I. Tenonto: *runs to the herd* Raptor: You’re gonna take the cowards way out? Run back to the herd? Or are you going to fight?!

I love how menacing that Deinonychus looked while doing its thing. We need a sequel video showing a successful hunt, it'd be really cool to see an animation showing the current R.P.R (Raptor Prey Restraint) model.
@@EmmanuelMartinez-kr7cq No, it's a Deinonychus. It's too small and gracile to be Utahraptor and it's hunting a young Tenontosaurus, which is an animal that we know Deinonychus preyed on.
0:12 idk why but yeh raptor pose reminds me of the grim reaper. Probably because the feathers kinda give it a robe like look. That makes it even more terrifying tbh.
the detail is amazing, like the way the tenonto starts running on 4 legs then runs on 2 legs after picking up enough speed, and how the tenonto moves its legs quicker due to the small size and the raptor just takes long quick strides
The way they move is amazing, same with the models I love how they look, the deinonychus (which should be the carnivore since it was the main dromeaesaurid lived with tento) was really really pretty and scary at the same time.
Another incredible animation. Btw your Creature of the Night animation inspired me to create a horror short film with scientifically accurate dinosaurs!
Now we just need you to work with the channel that's been doing all of the vocalization studies (Studio) and add those into the mix. There's some fucking haunting sounds out of those videos.
Since everyone is talking about the INSANE animation (rightfully so btw), I want to compliment the sound design. THANK YOU for not putting in like 10 snarling roaring sounds while their being chased. Basically every movie/tv etc. overexaggerates the notices they make to make things more dramatic, but it's so unrealistic. Like if any predator did that in real life it would probably starve to death because every other animal in a 10 mile radius would HEAR THEM!! Also ᶜᵒᵘᵍʰ ᶜᵒᵘᵍʰ ᴴᵒˡˡʸʷᵒᵒᵈ you don't NEED intense snarling to make a good chase scene, and you proved that. Thanks for reading my rant. Freaking amazing animation ;D
I love that the deinon isn’t going for an adult based off the fact the tenonto is much smaller, as dromaeosaurids hunting things smaller than themselves, and that it didn’t pursue for long! Dromaeosaurids weren’t pursuit predators, but ambush predators, and it giving up once it realizes it can’t keep up is wonderful!
INSTANT SUBSCRIBE. Loved it! A) Nobody gives tenontosaurus any attention. B) feathered raptors are scary and you made them scary. C) Great movement, great camera work, great lighting. That reveal was blood chilling. :)
My only point of feedback would be making the sounds feel less like an attempt to be scary and more like slight physical exertion as the deinonychus moves, other than that, this is stunning!
This would be terrifying, to kind-of quote James from the skeleton crew; imagine you threw off a raptor and it just righted itself midair and just continued attacking you
I wonder if that Tenontosaurus is a juvenile? Because of 1 size example, the Raptor Dinosaur Deinonychus. Tenontosaurus are actually… BIGGER. While Deinonychus is no bigger than a Timberwolf.
I love these videos of making paleo accurate carnivorous dinosaurs scary. Here's a suggestion, make a first person POV of someone in a forest then you suddenly hear vibrations, not only could you hear them but you'd also feel them. Then by the time the vibrations stop, a tyrannosaurus is seen hovering over you opening its moth and clamping its jaws on you, the video ends. Please make this ;-;.
Like having a pack of a hundred pound turkey sized chicken blood hounds coming at you is somehow less terrifying because they have feathers and are smaller. Wolverines are small and fluffy too and we know how that goes.
If that's how dangerous a Deinonychus would be to a human if they were alive, then imagine how terrifying a Utahraptor would be. Imagine a giant, flightless eagle that had teeth, 6 more talons than a normal eagle would have, and it weighed about a ton on top of that. No one would be safe if that thing was stalking in the shadows.
I love how your last two videos have been showing feathered raptors as scary and menacing. We need more of that.
why wouldnt they be menacing
