Thanks Dhaval for this great and insightful video! Another great thing about doing a PhD is the opportunity to explore cutting edge research that is often times in areas that we know very little of today (this is the fun part where we can be creative), but may eventually lead to massive benefit to humankind in the future such as drug discovery. A caveat is that doing a PhD may be stressful at times or that you may be stuck on problems at times but if you can overcome it, that could be rewarding.

I have done MS in AI. Now, should I opt for a PhD in AI as well or any specific subject like CV, NLP, DL etc ?
These days you can even directly go for PhD after you Bachelor's and if you work hard you can even complete your PhD in 3 years. This way you won't be stuck too long in academics.
Wish it were possible for accelerated PhD once have your masters.

You can't usually be ML engineer after BSc in underdeveloped or developing countries

In India they are giving stifund for PhD candidates normally IIT will be 31 to 35000 rupees per month
From IIT under pmrf it will be 70000 rupees per month
IIM fpm program also give the same stipend... But do you know any IIM which provide PhD in data science?
@@mohdhammadkhan5570 no I don't think IIM provide PhD particularly on data science but you can use data science and machine learning techniques in your research and select the research topic in that domain

I completed BCA & MCA and working as full-time java developer, I want to enter in Data science field, Do I need any experience or certificate or degree for eligibility for Ph.D. in Data science, and is it full time or can manageable in 9 to 6-hour job
What about part time PhD along with the job it may take some time to compelte the PhD but with in the same amount of time one will get work/practical real time experience with PhD. Yes, it will not be a piece of cake, but what u say .
master will take 2 and phd will take 5. If you wanna work in a specific industry (Finance), Is it better to just start working as a Data Analyst in Finance then climb the ladder for 7 years VS going for a PHD in a specific field?

First of all, the video is useful. But I have a doubt. I saw tons of videos on RUclips which mentions that you don't need a college degree to get a developer/ Software Engineer job. Is this the same with data science? Should I focus building my logic, learning statistics and other Data science related stuff or work on getting into new college after 12th grade?
I am very confused. Now I am in 10th. I love what I am doing. But, Will it be hard for me to find a job if i don't have a college degree? Actually this is very confusing. It will be awesome if you reply : )

The world is changing fast and more and more companies are adopting this attitude of "no degree, we care about your knowledge". In next few years you will see many companies having this in their job posting, unfortunately that is no the case yet in april 2021. But yea in next 2 to 3 years situation will be different so please continue doing whatever you are doing right now. You still have time. Another important thing to remember is there are certain benefits of going to a college such as (1) you make great friends (2) sports and cultural events that will reach you lot of soft skills etc. so don't ignore those.

Before spending any money on the courses, I would say you should learn from free resources on youtube. IF you search machine learning in youtube you will find my playlist which is highly ranked and viewed. You can read comments in that to get an idea. First do that and then after go for paid courses. This way you will find out if you have enough interest and also the playlist content is as good as paid courses on udemy etc.

Waste of time unless you enjoy doing a PHD, that simple really. Don't really see how it would be useful for a job unless your research was very specific to the problem the company has who are looking for the right candidate, likelihood of this? Close to zero.
