    I stopped riding motorcycles back in 1992 when I sold my FJ and moved back to Athens, Greece from London, UK. Thanks to you, I started riding again in 2019, aged 60something, when I bought a Multistrada. For what it's worth, you've made me a far better rider than I ever was. Thanks for the tips. Keep up the good work.

    I want to say thank you Kevin for all you do for the motorcycle community as a whole and it seems at times like you are speaking to each of us individually through the lessons in your weekly videos. At times it seems you know just when to release each video at the moment it will do the most good. I have wondered at times how many people it must take to gather the content and produce each video and I am in awe to learn that you do it all yourself. It seems few people these days have the kind of motivation to accomplish a task of this size and to stick with it. I thank God every day for the gift of another day and for the guidance of people like you that are trying to train the rest of us to be safe and responsible riders. I will be happy to have some of your keychains for each of my motorcycles to remind me of my training every time I go for a ride. Thanks and Bless you.

    I'll be 65 next month here in Florida, i. ride everyday. Honda shadow helix reflex. The scooters are so convenient, and practical, running errands shopping and get 70 mpg. And go 70+ mph. Honda sold over 100 million scooters. I heard a German guy say, Americans get on there goldwing to go 1/4 mile for cigarettes and beer. When a 50cc vespa would do. Anyway, with gas over 4 dollars. Lets get smart, try a scooter, you'll like it.

    Kevin, thank you for sharing your story. Much appreciated and very interesting. I am similar to another viewer who commented, in that I also stopped riding in the early 90s as I had my 3 children then and felt it was my responsibility to stop riding for them. i started riding again in 2020 at 61. I obviously still knew how to ride… but was nervous. I went to RUclips on a whim to see if I could find any helpful videos, and found your channel… I’ve been subscribed and watching your videos ever since I started riding again and I just want to thank you so much for all of your efforts to provide great content, training and safety, and the emphasis on being a smart and responsible rider. It has been a enormous help in improving my skills and confidence. Thank you for that Sir! Keep posting! I’ll keep watching :)

    That was a very interesting video this week, thanks Kevin. I do have a quick question about a week and a half ago I had my left hip replaced. Normally I ride a 2009 Electra Glide Classic obviously I won't be for a while. Do you have any tips on riding after a total hip replacement? Or is there anybody you can recommend that I can contact or watch their videos or gain some insight? I do recommend everybody I know to watch your videos. One thing I was curious you never mentioned Blytheville in your video. As I was stationed there from 71 to 73.

    I love the way you respect your audience and how most of the time your advice extends beyond the saddle and into life in general… however, wisdow is the result of learning from experiences in life in order to deal with similar situations in the future in a better way. This better way doesn’t mean nicer, but appropriate to make you succeed. God has no part on attaining wisdom. It is a completely personal process. Thank you for your work!

    • @MCrider
      @MCrider  2 года назад +2

      What I believe.
      James 1:5-8 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

      @@MCrider well, if it makes you happy, then good for you. Although it contradicts the purpose of paying for a membership and practicing your drills…it is easier and more cost and time effective to ask god to make me a better rider than to learn from my trials and errors based on your guidance. I still think you are a good man and an excellent instructor

My wife and I witnessed a motorcycle accident in 2015 in Sherman TX that caused me to sell my Virago. But now have decided that I love motorcycles and am not gonna live in fear. Enjoyable video... If you didn't already know it, you can make a stamp design on a 3D printer and use that to emboss leather. I just sandwich the leather and the stamp between two pieces of wood, then tighten that in my bench vise. Makes great things like you're showing without any leather carving. You can certainly make your design and have someone 3D print it for you, if you don't need another hobby 🙂

    When you spoke of “knowledge vs wisdom” I honestly thought you were going to say “knowledge vs experience.” I still consider wisdom as a type of knowledge as it’s a form of intellect but I believe experience trumps all. For example, do you want to be operated by a doctor who just graduated medical school or by someone who’s had 6 yrs of hands on experience?

    Making sure that all of our veterans are properly compensated is something about which I feel an obligation to pass on appropriate information to prior personnel. I am a retired Air Force Colonel. As a flight surgeon, I learned there are great complexities in terms of how the system works, having received the opportunity to see it from both sides when it was my turn.
    Please feel free to contact me, as there are some intricacies of the laws that changed in the last ten years that might still apply. By the grace of God, I had the good fortune to find out about this recently.
