Thank you all for the support this past year! Looking forward to what 2023 has to offer
Woohoo! Look forward to another year! Anymore BC worst driver in the works?
@@pjlimbeek2713 not sure if you saw my first episode but I have a BC Worst Drivers video a few months back and I'll eventually have another one soon!
Guy with scooter bump car lookalike James who play basketball at q.e park at Vancouver he has double vision problem on eyes I think
9:28 Nadia shouldn't have stopped to let in the Corolla. I see people do that and try waving me to go even when I can't see what's in the left lane. The corolla driver did check left, but couldn't see if someone was coming. If he checked left after he started though, maybe he would have seen the guy coming,
NEVER take SOMEONE ELSES WORD that a lane is clear. I will NOT assume it's clear just because someone is allowing me to go.. Not worth it.. and here you see what happens.
Agreed. I see this done all the time, especially for pedestrians too and it is so dangerous. I see you are trying to be nice, but you are in fact endangering someone.
I agree, she thinks she's being nice, but the rules for right-of-way exist for a good reason. I'd like to be kind too sometimes, but when there's two lanes like that, you're just baiting the poor guy into trouble (or going to get hit in the back of your own car for the unexpected stop).
10:55 I feel like so many people have a wrong perception of what the airbag is. People think it is a soft pillow that they will gently land into in case of an accident. Those things come out at a high speed and are actually a very hard object. Every time I see anyone either driving while hugging the wheel or having animals on their lap, I just shake my head. In case of an accident, you will either get your face bones broken if you are too close to the wheel, or if you have a dog on your lap, have the dog slammed with a blunt force into your chest. Just make better decisions.
6:35 thats why I wouldnt have reversed out of their way and got out to take pictures
Why does Vancouver have such bad drivers these days...hmmmmm....I wonder why......Not obvious to me...
Every time I watch these, I swear I’m going to give up driving altogether.
Drivers are so stupid these days.
As a pedestrian too, I’ve had to jump out of the way of car drivers not looking on lit crosswalks.
😢
What a year 2022 has been. As always, great video. Maybe these Vancouver drivers will grow some braincells in 2023? Haha, I doubt it.
Thanks! Agree
So far in 2023, I can say with certainty that all hope is lost. ...Since 1995. Hahaha!
The best to view your video, on mute, yup I can handle that.
2:30 yes the drivers need to be aware that cyclists are also ROAD users, but a lot of the cyclist think they are beyond the law and this mentality can get themselves killed! Left turns need to yield to the ones going straight!
10:12 - Rupert and Kingsway - Accord didn’t run a red light, their northbound direction had an advance green, you can tell from the other few cars that already turned left onto Kingsway westbound.
Ya that makes sense
Classic Vancouver traffic
9:19 this is actually in Richmond
Retired trucker here; From my years of driving and observation between incapacitated drivers/drunk driver, the Drunk will USUALLY weave a bit on the highway(Always 1st thing)... whereas the driver that has a medical issue or has fallen asleep at the wheel, usually does not weave in traffic due to being incapacitated. I do believe theres actually some Studies on this phenomena done by universities too(cant remember when, but I read an article on this decades ago)
Is it wrong for me to look forward to more of these videos?
I mean, we're looking at real accidents where people are in danger ... is this what they call a 'Morbid Curiosity'?
It's like watching a car crash....oh wait
People in Metro Vancouver really need to learn to turn on their lights among other things
I live in Vancouver, I agree a lot, my mom almost hit someone because of that
5:57, That is actually a fixed gear bike, so it has no brakes and no ability to coast, you can slide the rear tire by stop pedalling but not so much of brake effort.
The last clip mooooved me too
5:30 typical.... everyone going the same speed across 4 lanes of traffic.
Yup!
2:45 the cyclist would have been at fault he turned and did not yield to oncoming traffic.
Great video (as always)!! I love your commentary (especially those baby salmon & piranha metaphors). Your channel really shows the need for a dash cam in Vancouver.
3:11 omfg another insurance scammer?!
He does realize that ICBC only pays $5k for injuries now haha
10:14 I dont think that driver had a red light. I think he he had an advance turn green arrow and a green light. You can tell by the white car at the beginning of the clip making a left turn. Still he hit an emergency vehicle with sirens on.
Good point
I gotta say Ambulances are damn solid! I'v seen 5 or 6 clips of some heavy hits, but never seen them actually get damaged. Like they'll get T boned or slammed into at high speeds and if you looked at it after the crash without the context, it would be hard to tell if or how bad the accident was. It makes sense as their obviously going into dangerous situations where someone was injured and are transporting that person, while also having staff in the back who aren't super secured so you'd want it to be as tanky as possible, I'm just still surprised how solid they are.
vancouver is becoming crazy rn
11:32 That pedestrian should NOT have walked out. Their crosswalk was on SOLID hand, just that lack of common sense and being impatient almost could have cost them their LIFE.. Not worth it!
No comments, since this is best of the worst as I must have put in a silly comment for each individual publication all year long, no need to add anything, but THANK YOU for another year.
2:04 Holy-...I know that location, that was near Hastings and Kensington, I arrived there a little while afterwards just to see the mess. I'm wondering the backstory myself
It's just crazy how much footage we can get of car accidents.
It's almost like we should eliminate our car dependency and have safer roads for everyone since motorized vehicles are the 2nd top cause of eternal loss of consciousness for young adults (aka death).
I have a strong dislike of bicyclists who don't follow the road rules. I've been sideswiped a few times by them going through red lights as if no one is in the way....some of them shouldnt be on the road at all!!
Cyclists in Vancouver should all have to get a license plate and insurance. we give them halve the road, and they don't have to pay for any insurance and half of them do not obey any traffic laws. screw them.
Guy with scooter looking at something lookslike James guy play basketball in q.e park has double vision problem on eyes
Great recap, keep them coming. An ad below was with Zack Spencer...go Vancouver 🇨🇦
Thanks for watching!
2:00 must have been a medical episode or malfunction or something... no one's gunning it out of a parking lot like that wtf
10:21 frame. It’s not a red light for the car driving through. They have an advance light going north on Rupert.
Snow storm is coming so the best (or the worst) videos may still be to come....
4:56 i dont see a problem with driving behind it. They let the ambulance pass but failed to check their blind spot and or mirrors before changing lanes
I want my super power to be the ability to take away drivers licenses.
Man alot crazy videos of 2022. Just waiting to see what for 2023 going look like. Merry Xmas and happy new year
Thanks for watching! You as well!
What we need is the police to focus on this sort of thing, instead of just speeding issues all the time.
"No fault" insurance is not going to settle the matter of responsibility for damage/injury anymore, so if there is dashcam footage of someone driving dangerously, let it be the basis of a charge and a fine. Crack down hard, including in severe cases, seizing vehicles until they pay a fine and go to driving school again (and pass a test).
No fault insurance only applies to medical coverage insurance still goes up for people at fault!
That scooter with the ramp was the stupidest I've seen in a long time
5:55 and he runs off without giving the Prius driver his information. So its a hit and run
He missed the opportunity to say "smoooooothly" for the last clip
The best for last..Merry Christmas 🎄
Ambulance had not flashing lights
why are all the responses so nice???? We are dealing wit idiots on the road in Vancouver.
Canadian politeness haha
This is why the show "Canada's Worst Driver" NEVER should have been cancelled... I learned a lot from that show!
You don't cause an accident!
Thanks for the videos
Canadiana critic --- North of the 49th, Z is pronounced ZED (for raichubrz)
That's not good
Great work as always. Stay safe everyone!
Thanks Eric
The skill of the motorcyclist... wow. Deserves and award.
10:36 - That's not a red light for the turning driver. That's Aviation Ave near YVR and in the direction the cammer is traveling the left turn has an advanced turn which turns red. Heading the other way there's an advanced turn but it's one of those that turn solid-green after the advance arrow turns off.
Good point
Happy New years yall. Merry Christmas. Happy Hanka hanka
3:28 I don't think the ambulance's lights were on. Did they run the red light?
Hard to say! Unfortunately it's too far away for us to really know
10:20 might not have been a red light as there's an advance left turn there onto Kingsway.
Good point
"Good luck baby salmon" 😂
Keep it up with the videos! Really hope you do another BC focused one.
Thanks! Yup I'm currently working on another one
12:22 - Best cow joke ever!!
always funny when people get into an accident in front of a cop
More paperwork for them lol thanks for watching
Damn, that cow should be a traffic cop 🤣🤣
No, it later got a ticket for a moving violation.
Once again great vid dude. Happy New year!!
Thanks so much!
11:31 pedestrians who start crossing on the orange hand are jaywalking!
Obviously, always try to avoid running people over though
nah, if I can cross the intersection before the timer runs out I'm going to. Why do cars get the full light cycle but not peds?
@@toastsandwich2862 is it okay then for vehicles to ignore the walk sign then? They clearly are supposed to and mainly do allow pedestrians to walk during that pedestrian protected portion of the light not being granted the 'full light cycle' either. So by your logic, the protected walk time should be ignored so everyone gets the full light cycle? 3500lb 4x4 vs pedestrian and no one gives 2 squirts? Oof. RIP suitcase person.
@@toastsandwich2862 pedestrians get the full cycle of the white walk man light to start crossing the road
@@s.l.thompson1843 Lots of cagers in the comments here just proving that they never walk anywhere. Please consider being a pedestrian. There are light cycles where the red flash starts immediately... does that mean that someone who was one second behind has to wait for the next crossing? Total bs. As well, cars can also turn right on red.
10:43 When the driver viewed what was left of the dog after the airbag exploded, they maybe decided that wasn't very smart ...
8:40 Looks to me like he's riding a stairway to heaven ... 😛
Seeing all the clips of drivers all of a sudden "veering" off the road or the clips of drivers plowing through cars and intersections with out hesitation makes me wonder how many of they are vaccine injured and having sezures or worse behind the wheel.
I would love to know the percentage of drivers in this video from mainland China? 🤬 #Vancouver sold it's soul!
Hi, fist time viewer and love you’re content! I also live in Vancouver and witnessed some of those accidents lol
Thanks for watching!
