@@CrazyQuadydefinitely come back and go to Blanchard Spring's. There is a huge cavern at least 2 levels. I can't remember if there are more. And there is a huge spring that comes out of the cavern.
And we have 2 hot springs. One in Hot Springs and the other is in Eureka Springs. I think Eureka has the best charm because of the old part of town.
In Hot Springs, they have bath house's with the hot spring water. And there is a really old hotel at the top of the mountain there.
Also where you were, not that far, you should have went to petite jean mountain. There is a car museum. It's pretty cool. And there is a wax museum, but I can't remember where it's at.
There is ALOT of beautiful places here.
I think it would be really great if you went to a different state every month, and explore the whole state during that month.
That's what I want to do eventually.
And yes, when it's a little greener, which it will be perfect in a couple of weeks, is the best time. You can't beat spring in Arkansas. And the tree's are already budding and blooming. I'm in North East Arkansas close to the Missouri border.

Who knew Arkansas was so beautiful. I didn’t realize there were some small mountains there either. That cabin was pretty sweet.
It's really beautiful. You should see it with everything green. And we have bigger mountains than that. Nothing like Colorado but just as beautiful.

We stayed at an old CCC camp in New Hampshire year ago. They had a huge kiln where they made bricks for all of their projects. Love your channel CQ❤🇺🇲

Very beautiful place, love the cabin you stayed in. Waterfall was pretty cool as well. Glad you and Lady Quady had fun and a chance to get out and Enjoy life for awhile.

That place is beautiful. and the history of that place by the CCC is awesome
They done alot of places in Arkansas. One of the best places to camp is Gunner Pool and it was built by them.
you should geocache wile on your adventures that would be a cool addition to your truck camping

For lighting in this kind of environment, I would recommend using a Lume cube mini panel. Goes right on top of the camera in the hot shoe and works great

I like to see you camp at a haunted location like before that was so rad
My grandfather was in the CCC in Arkansas, I remember a little of him telling us stories about what they did and went through. Him and his fellow CCC members would meet every year for a reunion. I would love to go visit this park and see if his name is on any of the plaques? Quady, you don't by chance have and still shots of those plaques do you? I think it would be neat if my grandfathers name was on there and me and my dad could go see where my grandfather put so much work in as a young man.
My husband worked a few summers at a CCC camp when he was a teenager up in Minong, Wi.... Which is way up there where you were a few times, near Hayward in Northern Wi. He wanted to see what it looked like nowadays, so we took a trip. The cabins were all there but they were long since abandoned and very run-down, but it was really neat seeing them. This is one park that I'm gonna add to my list- it looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing

Hey Quady. We just got back from Hot Springs a couple of days ago. Our son got married there. Beautiful place for sure. We stayed at an air-b&b on lake Hamilton. Love Arkansas.

When the video started I thought you were in Georgia. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain Ga is one of the CCC parks too. Roosevelt's Little White House...where he would come to get warm water treatment for his polio, is minutes away. So if you ever come down south, you should go there. Also Callaway Gardens is there too. Youd love it all.
Southern Ohio got some good scenery, hope you make it here. We can be your trip guide if you make it this way. Pennsylvania got some cool places too..... Arkansas looks beautiful, definitely got to make my way there......
Interesting fireplace. I've never seen one with big solid iron doors. Are they afraid of zombies getting in?
Hey! That's my park!!! I've stayed in most of those cabins, and 3 of the camper cabins. The camper cabins have a full/queen bed and bunk beds, and they do have heat and air. There is no running water or kitchen . You have to cook outside, so I don't know what they do during a burn ban. You also have to bring your own "linens", but they're half the price of a regular cabin, plus they have a screened porch, which is cool. If you come back, hike up or down to the YellowRock Overlook. I would suggest a weekday though. as it's packed on the weekends. The caves are closed due to White Nose Syndrome which threatens the endangered bats there. I think you can go in "Farmer's Cave", but you have to have a permit. Also, when we're not in a drought, a hike to Twin Falls is beautiful! Glad to see the park through your lens!

I love that place it was one of my favorite places to go when I lived in North West Arkansas. You have to go to the waterfall on the trail there by the caves and the big waterfall as you come into the park. And why your there go check out War Eagle Mill it a real functioning Mill it still grinds wheat and flour and up stairs the restaurant serves homemade meals. Not to mention the battle fields in Prairie Grove and Pea Ridge not to mention the Walmart museum in Bentonville also in Bentonville the original Walmart five and dime is located in downtown Bentonville

Its in Nwarkansas too.... we finally got our truck so before long we will be purchasing a truck tent. Maybe one day we could meet up and do a truck camp. Have a good one. When I was in 7th grade (1986), I worked for The California Conservation Corps (CCC) building trails in the mountains of Northern California to help support my family. It was for low income families or people that needed to develop skills while making money.
