22:31 Just in case you see this, Mattables, or anyone else is confused at Crimson saying he didn't care about "Moxxie's beard", he's referring to Millie. It goes back a long ways when gay men and women couldn't be open about who they were so they had to have "beards" aka straight partners to keep up the facade. It's basically Crimson saying that Moxxie and Millie aren't really seriously in love, he's just doing it to hide his bisexuality.

Someone pointed out, that the reason Blitz smiles awkwardly, shakes his drink around a little, and then looks really concerned could be because the ice in his drink isn't floating, which could be a sign that it has been drugged. When he sips the drink, the surface isn't getting any lower, implying he's just faking it to not raise any suspicions.
Which is also why after laughing about Moxxie being in a mafia, he stops for a second and starts looking around.

It may seem odd, but the part of this episode that destroyed me the _most_ was seeing Moxxie's near-silent sobbing against the door. I don't think it's common knowledge, but that type of heavily subdued emotional breakdown is a hallmark of long-term abusive relationships, especially ones where showing such emotions risks drawing punishment -- people stuck in those kinds of environments often internalize the practice of keeping their emotions masked and their breakdowns subdued, in order to avoid getting into trouble for their 'outbursts' (and, from the conversations I've had with other people with shared experiences, some people internalize the habit without even realizing they've done so).
You can _tell_ people on the Spindlehorse team have lived experience with trauma and abuse, for how _authentic_ their depictions of it are.

In episode one, Moxxie expresses that he'd be more okay with killing a mob family or a shitty dad over a regular family. In episode two, he says Mascots disturb him, the scene on the boat explains why.

Fun fact, at 5:15 when Crim gives blitz a drink, the ice cubes in it weren't floating. When that happens it means your drink was spiked and Blitz noticed it and pretends to drink it.
not necessarily. not only do ice cubes not float as much in alcohol, especially in such a shallow amount of it, but also it doesn't make much sense plot wise for crimson to drug blitzø
@@mayhapslynn I think it does in the sense that he assumed Blitz was the strongest of I.M.P being the leader and all, and wanted to get rid of him first before getting to Moxxie. But obviously Millie was the one who proved him wrong.
Thank you so much for putting this out usually people don’t notice it. Also, it would make sense for Crimson to drug blitz because it seems that Chaz locking blitz in his car was also known by Crimson, so maybe it was a back up plan

I adored the recap at the end - my favorite part of reaction videos to this series is hearing everyone’s feelings and thoughts about what they just watched, and this scratched that itch perfectly for me 💕
Also…the irony when you saw Moxxie’s mom at first and were like “I hope she doesn’t have a dark story :D” only for her to have the darkest story 😭

I'd love to see more post-episode retrospectives, especially in the episodes to come -- taking a minute to reflect on what all happened in the episode not only gives a chance to decompress, it can sometimes help you notice new details you missed the first time through!
Also, I'll second what some other folks said: save 'Just Look My Way' for _after_ Episode 7 but _before_ Episode 8 -- it released in the span of time between those two episodes, and bridges the narrative between Episodes 6 and 8. Saving it for the right time will maximize the impact.

Yep. It's pretty common that shows can get away with pretty extreme violence, and even more if it's animated, and still be fairly uncensored. But the moment anything sexual turns up (and *especially* anything explicitly not straight), it'll raise the rating immediately or be censored. It's very much a product of puritanical American ideas about what's okay and what isn't.

I wouldn't be surprised if the horns on the wall are in fact his mother's. Crimson does seem the type to do something like that. It would serve as a daily reminder to Mox: 'Don't mess with me kid or you'll end up like your mother' It would explain why Mox is quick to obedience when around his 'dad.' and why he stuck with Bliz after the jail 'break'

I'm sure someone mentioned it, but you noticed the horns being cut off the Imp they drowned. Crimson's walls are full of plaques with imp horns, shark jaws, and incubus/succubus wings/tails. All demons he had killed and made into trophies.

You keep questioning all the things that can be explained by one word: comedy. XD This is a comedy show, that is why sushi is flying when a shark is cut into pieces, and that is why the dildos are blurred out but the violence isn't.
Well, tbh the dildos are probably to keep them from getting blocked by RUclips's content filter. RUclips may not care about animated hyper-violence or disturbing imagery, but they *might* care about animated sex toys, especially depending on how... realistically they're drawn, which we can't tell.

Remember he asked for the address and Crimson said “transportation has already been taken care of” or something like that. He didn’t provide the address. So I don’t take it as being malicious. Blitzø I think grew up in the Pride ring…Millie is from Wrath and Moxxie is from Greed territory.

Ps the blue is from the washout of the black dye. Most blacks have an undertone and most black hair dye has a blue undertone (people seem to prefer it).

In order in watching “Look My Way” is after season 2 episode 7. That episode came out in October 2023 and the “Look my Way” video came out December 2023 and then we get more Helluva Boss in April of this year for room for Hazbin Hotel release to happen earlier this year. Hope it wasn’t too confusing🥴
Not sure if anyone pointed it out or not, but the male imps have thick white lines on their horns and the females have thin white lines. So on the trophy wall you can tell which horns are from males and which from femails.
EVERYONE points that out almost every episode, he already knows that hence why he figured the horns on the wall could be from Moxxie's mother

I don't usually watch recaps at the end of reactions, because as others have said, some can get kinda long-winded. But just like your mid-episode pauses, you kept your thoughts concise, making it nice to watch.

"Just Look My Way" is heavily spoilery. It happens if I remember correctly after "Mammon's Magnificent Musical" and "Full Moon" so it's a ways away still. It is a music video, yes, but there is story within it. So don't watch before it's supposed to happen

Blitz hides a lot of himself behind a bravado. But there is so much more to his character than what is seen on the surface. But you kind of have to look out for it.
