I just found a 2007 750 with 1500 original miles for 3,300$. I'm getting it tomorrow and am finding all the videos out there to wet my appetite. This one helped.
I remember pulling out of the dealer with my brand new 05 Shadow Spirit. 0 miles. Watched the very first mile click over. Put on tens of thousands of miles. Literally zero problems ever.
@@Spartansrule118 There is only one carb on it, and i never had any issues. As long as nobody has messed with it (jet kit or rebuild) you should be fine. First thing i would do is change the spark plugs and wires. It has 4 plugs, 2 per cylinder. 2 of them are super easy, and get changed frequently. The other 2 however..not so easy to get to, and almost never get changed. Do all 4 once and you should be good to go for years. Other than that, just check the brake pads, fork seals (they do like to leak) and definitely look into getting a quality mustang seat. The stock o.e. seats are terrible.
@@deborahchesser7375 Absolutely I saw the Yamaha YZ450F Ranked 1st in the 450 Shootout 2 years in a row Followed by the Honda CRF450R In 2nd Who Lead the rest of the 450 Bikes
My first bike was a 01 Shadow 750 Spirit. I loved that bike and still love it, even though I sold it 5 years ago. I never got to a point where I felt like the bike was too small. Just a sweet ride.
Thanks for always taking the time to talk about the bikes and being so informative! I hate seeing tons of videos of guys riding bikes for long periods and getting nothing but bad quality sound and no info. Keep up the great videos !!!!
I have a red 03 shadow ace 750 that's been sitting in my basement for almost 5 yrs now with a title issue. It definitely seems decent quality. I read an article somewhere that calls it "the bike Harley sued Honda over" because of copying them so much. Dying to ride it honestly,Massachusetts is such a complete pain in the ass with titles/registries/etc. Add covid19 to the mix and forget it. Need a ride on that bike now more that ever🇺🇸
I have a 750 Aero, basically the same bike with shaft drive & different fenders, but the engine is exactly the same...it's that single pin crank that gives it that sound...I've put nearly 40K miles on mine, toured it through 10 different states, through all kinds of weather...these things are practically bulletproof...all I've ever had to do to it was replace 2 clutch cables, change the oil & tires occasionally, because it will wear out some tires! Lol! Great little machines...now it's my backup bike for when my Road King is ailing, but it's still my favorite bike of the 4 bikes I currently own, including the Road King, because you just can't kill these things...great riding bikes...🖖🏿😎👍🏿
Good video bro I'm riding my 98 honda vt1100 aero best bike I've ever owned alot smoother than my harley dyna glide was plus water cooled so no roasted nuts
Nice bikes, I put V+H pipes and a windshield on my sister n laws bike, too bad she rode it like 3 times, I’d of liked to have enjoyed it a little more. It wasn’t tinny or ratty sounding, it had some bass with those pipes.
these were great bikes we get em in and out of our shop all the time, they last 4ever! alot of ladies buy em cuz of the low seat hight. no offence to the guys id ride one myself.
My first bike was a honda 50 then several dirt bikes yz and RMs my first street bike was a 1974 honda 750 four then a KZ 1,000 then after I got married in 1989 i sold it ...after having three sons in 1998 I bought a brand new 750 ACE and got back on two wheels after several big metrics including a vtx 1800 I now own the motorcycle I've always wanted a HARLEY DAVIDSON Heritage Softail I'm 57 next week . Hondas and Kows are great bikes but, Harleys are #1 in looks and sound and feel I will not ever go back to a metric but they had their place .
Love your videos man, gorgeous bike. I have an 07 just the same and they are truly bulletproof haha. Question, I am planning to install Cobra pipes on it, do I really need to tune the carbs for that or I can do without messing around its engineering ?
Depends on if you leave the baffles in the pipes...if you run open pipes, rejet it, or it'll always backfire on decel...not gonna really hurt it mechanically, it's just annoying as hell...if you leave the baffles, you shouldn't have a problem...
I have a lower right leg amputation. So I don't have an ankle to push the forward control rear brake. Do they make a dual master cylinder for the front and back brake.
off subject you talked about racing again why dpnt ya race the cr 500 ya said ya wanted to race 450 yamaha do ya still have the yz 500 ya built n raced cant belive ya gonna ditch the 2 stroke thought ya took pride in taking a 20 yr old bike n spanking new 450s

I’m thinking of getting a 2007 with 10,000 miles. Anything I should check over before buying? How are the carbs on these? Easy to work on? Thanks!

Why is a 750cc bike a beginner's bike? What's up with that? What's an experienced biker's motorcycle? A boss hoss?
I guess since my rides are a turbo Harley and a 2300cc rocket 🚀 3 it is to me
