    I'm not a great bowler, but Mark Roth is my vote for the greatest bowler and a role model for anyone interested in bowling. RIP Mark, I know I will always remember you!

    I absolutely agree with you. I grew up watching the PBA Tour on ABC, watched it every Saturday for many years from the early 70's through the early 90's and the bowlers then where the absolute best. The skill of these bowlers were amazing. Mark Roth and Earl Anthony were my favorites!

    I'd love to meet Guppy Troup--he's from my hometown, Columbia SC. :)
    ...meeting Mr. Roth Legend wouldn't be to bad either! How ironic that his only major came against Guppy. Both guys bowled their best, but Mark deserved to win.

    1:22! I thought the "one-time" call was actually a fairly recent "rooting" call. Awesome to see it's been around for a long time!

    I remember these days as a kid. Probably hard on barbers because you could get your hair cut once every four months and nobody noticed.

      think it became a furniture store for a while. bowling in KC is dead almost. weekend black light bowling killed the leagues.

    I can respect that Guppy was surprised at the 4 pin, but it was left off his hand it looked like. Kinda tight, like he didn't give it enough room.
    Take it with a grain of salt, because I probably won't be there to throw to win the US Open.

    Roth may have carried some sloppy strikes, but that shot in the 11th was great.

  • @spinninggood

    tour is wayyyy better then than it is now. wayyyy tougher conditions ,you had to earn every strike, unlike todays cartoon bowlers.

    • @vegaslimoguy2376
      @vegaslimoguy2376 Год назад

      I agree. Even though they have some tough oil patterns now, the equipment that they have access to is way better ,it is similar to golf, in both sports the equipment now has so much technology they can put the ball exactly where they want it. Bowling was definitely alot harder back then, and don't even get me started with two handed bowling. Smh
