This songs hits my heart hard. My " Pops" stepped up when I was just a baby and raised me well. Only met my biological father once when I was about 11. My " Pops" is in heaven now. Damn cancer ! But not a day goes by that I don't think of him. When I met my wife she had a very young son & daughter. Both in day care. Their real dad was a real piece. And I raised them the very best I knew how. Learning as I went. I remember the day they first called me dad. It dropped a knot in my throat so heavy I thought I was going to.pass out from not able to breathe. That was an awesome day. And its been a awesome adventure from there. My oldest is grown , married and has given us 3 grandkids. And my daughter is grown , married and gave us 2 grandchildren with another on the way. And I have my biological son who just turned 25. And wife and I just celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary. I don't regret stepping up for my first 2 kids.
