Grease Gun Tip: Get a "lock n Lube" Grease gun tip that has a lever to lock on to the Zerk so you don't have press it on or remove it with force. It makes it so much easier & less chance of snaping a zerk off.
those grease guns are amazing. each little click is one "pump" equivalent. one upgrade I would recommend is you can get an even nicer zerk coupler for it pretty cheap on amazon. you get a lot nicer one that way.
My dad did thousands of fire breaks and garden plots with his Massey Ferguson with a six foot Howard rototiller. He always ran it in first gear and low range and only go over an area once and it would always come out powdery soft, unless it was extremely hard ground.
In permaculture we avoid tillage altogether, so an even easier and more effective method is to just drop a black tarp or mulch over the area then pull it back when you go to plant.
@Harry M Yea I prefer to do my potatoes in a wood frame and build it up adding layers of dried leaves and sprinkled compost as you add each rung of boards. There's always a way to avoid destroying soil!
The bio char may take a couple of seasons for you to see the full effect. Biochar allows fungi a place to colonize. You have just damaged the soil structure through the tilling/scarfiring and that will take some time to re-establish.
I know you know, but there are grease fittings also on the left side of the tiller, probably have to grease from underneath to reach the left bearing. And do get the Lock N Lube coupler for your grease gun. Just make sure what thread it takes, as Milwaukee used 10mm on some of their earlier guns.
A Smaller Plow is always the Best, for new plots. Cause it completely turns over the soil. All growth and weeds/seeds are deeply buried, most likely never to emerge❕
Those danm gardens! I don't want to learn how to make my garden plot! I want to stop them from plotting! My last garden schemed away, and ran off with my wife! No plotting gardens!
They are smooth on top and paddling like heck under the water!!
Hope it all produces well for you. Hope you and your family are blessed.
Geese are true masters of three elements, air , water , land . Humans cant even claim such ! Nice vidja brother .
Good luck this season brother!

Love that 3 burst shot at 9:50
I think the way things are going I'd be planting anything I could dig. Sure like to find one of those, it would save a lot of work.

Retaining the soil's structure being the key point.
