Haven’t had any issues with them yet. They are just blowing out extra air from the turbo’s that is usually circulated back into the intakes. @@SergioCazares-q6p so its the AC unit fan, i live in Nor Cal and it gets hot hot, didnt think it was an issue. What on earth are you talking about?? Ricer.. BOV are not ricer. "Ricer" is like a 3M front lip and fake stick on vents. Some BOV are more than $500. Unless you like EV's half the fun with cars is the sound. It's like getting and exhaust system, only for your turbos. Did you have to get a tune on this after you installed these? @@JamesBeBored did they include an instruction sheet with the kit? Unfortunately I don’t know too much about that engine.
@@KDMCurt they didnt unfortunately. I’ll just have to figure it out somehow. Thanks tho
This fits the 2022 stinger, their website says it covers 2017-2021 models or something. Ik wht your title says but just want to be sure.
Yes that’s correct these fit the 2022 (that’s what I have them on). They just haven’t updated their website descriptions yet.
@@KDMCurt u still got them on urs? 😂 or was this sponsored
@@lenn4626 this was “sponsored” but yes they are still on, they won’t be coming off unless I sell the car.
@@KDMCurt appreciate the transparency
Where can get cold air intakes for my 2022 gt2?
I got mine from the Burger Motorsports website. There’s a lot of different options though. Injen, AEM, HPS, K&N, BMS, just go to Google and type in “Stinger air intakes” and make sure you’re looking at a set for the 3.3L engine (will be 2 intakes instead of 1).
Get injen
Can the oem tubing be used as well?
Yes, it can. I used some of the stock tubing.
Was the exhaust stock?
Yes it’s stock currently.
@@KDMCurt Are you putting an exhaust any time soon?
@@jex721 thinking about it, but I’d like to keep the active valves if possible.
ok ok i hear it here, what is that Train noise im hearing? i just got the ADD W1 bov but im hearing like this load train horn noise when letting off the gas and i can hear it happening hear too. what is that? is that safe? is that happening outside the car as well?
I just installed mine 2 days ago and I’m hearing the same noise were you able to figure your noise out how to fix it ?
@@SergioCazares-q6p so its the AC unit fan, i live in Nor Cal and it gets hot hot, didnt think it was an issue. But I turned off the AC one day, which turns off the fan and the BOV is blowing directly into the fan giving the Train noise. Thats my guess, i have yet to put a camera in there to see but what i did was i rotated the direction of the BOVs to the left and right and the noise went away when the ac is on/fan is on. ADD W1 are great but im going back to stock bcus i lose Boost pressure often. I would suggest going HKS when you have the money or at least try the PRO version of W1.
Bro what pliers are those, ive bought 2 different sets and none worked for this. Either too small or gapnis too big smh.
They were just some regular snap ring pliers I found at a hard ware store. These ones from Vise-Grip should get the job done - amzn.to/3pSlEcU
@@KDMCurt ordered thanks man.
@@noneya6679 awesome, let me know how it goes!
@@KDMCurt so I wasnt able to, lol. I just gave up after literally 2 hours and 4 sets of different pliers its all scratched up now smh. Never had a snap ring be such a pain.
@@noneya6679 dang I’m sorry to hear that, yeah usually they are not that much of a pain to deal with.
does anybody know the exact measurement of those rubber stoppers? I misplaced mine
will a single one work for the 2.0?
Yes, they sell a kit for the 2.0t on their website as well.
Have the exact same BOV's and they don't make hardly any sound. Turned them wide open and nothing.
Are these the Pro Series?
No, these are the regular ones but ADD W1 is sending over a set of the new Pro’s for me to review so check back soon and my video on them should be up!
Just installed mine and it’s not making and “pshhh” sound. Any idea why?
Check to make sure the settings on top of each BOV aren’t set to too “hard”. Also drive around for a little bit and let the turbos build up boost and then it should start releasing the pressure. If it’s still not working check your hoses and make sure there are no leaks.
@@KDMCurt I did recheck everything and still not getting that nice noise. Do I need a cold air intake in order to get that pshh noise?
Thank you for responding!
@@istifan1 hmm I thought maybe the recirculation hoses, but you would remove those to put the new BOV’s on. To tell you the truth I’m a little stumped. You shouldn’t need intakes to hear the BOV’s go pshh, it’s just air venting to atmosphere instead of going back thru those hoses and into the intakes again.
@@KDMCurt do you have to rev past 4500 rpm to get the wshhh noise?
@@istifan1 yeah if you’re in park you’re going to need a pretty high rev from what I have experienced. The best way to hear them is driving though, the turbos build more boost under load from what I have read online.
I put some on today and I almost feel like stock with intakes sounds better.
To each their own, I’m really enjoying them. Always dreamt of having a car that could go “pshhh” haha.
My stock BOV's with my Agency Power intakes sounds better than most aftermarket BOV's. The Agency's are just that good a sounding intake. Too bad they discontinued them (and lucky for me my friend was trading his Stinger in and sold his to me) ;)
Do they have any for the 2.5 L?
On their site they only list it for the 2.0 and 3.3 at the moment. You could email them and ask if it fits the 2.5, they also have a universal kit too but I’m not sure now similar it is.
@@KDMCurt thanks, I'll send them and email.
Does this void the warranty?
If installed correctly (no damage to any other engine components) it should not void your warranty.
@@KDMCurt Thanks sir for your response. 🙏🏽
Thanks Kurt, good tutorial.
I've talked shit about ricers for years. I feel that if I get this (being that it's a totally nonfunctional and lets be honest, straight up obnoxious mod) I'd be on the rice wagon myself. Kudos to you if you're happy with the mod, after all it's your car. Thanks for the video nonetheless!
It just adds to the over all experience and part of the turbo fun is the blow off sound.
Would that fit on a 2022 GT2?
Yes, they will fit the GT2’s as well.
Does this kit work with the 2022 kia gt line
This specific kit with the dual BOV’s won’t. But they have the exact same thing on their website that’s a single BOV for the gt-lines.
Fr? I didn't see it if you get the chance can you get me a link
@@AyoSyno oh dang I just remembered you have the 2.5L engine in the 2022 GT-Line right? They may not have a kit for that engine yet. They have it for the 2.0 and 3.3 but I’m not sure about the 2.5 yet sorry about that.
Where can I get them
There’s a link in the description of this video for them
Did you have to get a tune on this after you installed these? I installed BOV on my Cobalt SS and ended up getting "system idle bank 1 too lean" DTCs because the MAF sensor was losing air volume that it didn't realize was actually being vented to atmosphere so it essentially saw it as a vacuum leak.
Nice, and thanks for the vid
Sure thing, glad I could help!
@@KDMCurt I don't own a stinger, but the G70 is the same underneath, just got a 22 on Wednesday, looking at doing bolt on, then eventually JB4 tune
