You have 3 cores, and you have 100 prisms. you use 3 cores and one prism to get 6 cores. So you gain 3

It's stupid how stingy bungie is with cores. Prisms are easier to farm but they're more "rare"
Just so you know it will require a lot of glimmer and legendary shards

Great video. This isn’t merely new tho, and there’s an even more efficient time to do this. During festival of the lost, the masquerade helmet that the space grandma sells starts at 6 energy. Currently, from 5-8, you’re getting 6 cores while using 3. So 3 net profit. We’re not counting prisons because you have a million of those. From 6-8, you’re getting 6 using 2. One extra core profit per, plus you’re saving glimmer and shards in the long run. The long run only being like 20 dismantles away and it’s a huge saving. If you’re not in a hurry, I recommend you wait a couple months till Halloween to do this. 👌🏾
Guys with farming he mostly means to transform prisms to cores, bc some ppl have too many prisms but 0 cores, its not a way to farm. The name is bad but yeah. its that what he means

Just to clarify, this won't give you cores out of nowhere, it's only intended for you to do it if you want to convert prisms to cores. I thought this was some kind of glitch and lost tons of prisms and cores :(((

Started with 47 spent 3 cores an 1 prism to masterwork. So now hes at 44. Got 6 from deletion so 50
You use up 3 cores in the process lol…overall the profit is 3 cores in exchange for a prisma
i say this is a fair trade tbh. hope it dosnt get patched out. as your losing more then your gaining.
How does one get more prisms than cores
Cores are used more than prisms. You don’t usually have more prisms but prisms are basically useless compared to cores. Most people end up deleting prisms for space in their postmaster or to reset valor
Most endgame players run Master or GM nightfalls more than the lower difficulty ones. Personally, I have 30 ascendant shards and 150ish prisms in my postmaster at all times. They're expendable to me, cuz I am earning them actively. Cores are more of a passive gain for me, so I'm usually low on them.
Prisms are fucking useless i have like 500 hundred of them.

Not sure why you would need cores so badly that you would just burn prisms that are more than 10x the value...
I know but ı saw that ı have a lot prisms but dont have any cores that needed to masterwork guns and ı found that. I posted this video for who have a same problem with me.
Prisms drop like crazy on Nightfalls, EC dont, you can fill yourself of prisms in 2 hours of NF farming, you cant do the same with EC.
If you wanted to farm lets say 60 EC on legend difficulty, that would take you like 20 NF, if you do 3-4 on Master it will give you around 20 prisms, which translate into 60 EC with less than 20% of the work.
The only other way to get EC fast is banshee, but youre capped at 12 per day, so yes, this is by far the BEST method to get EC

This was fixed. It only used to cost cores, now it costs prisms too.
It was better while it isn’t fixed but now, this is for who have lot prisms but dont have any cores.

You actually need enchantment cores for weapon masterwork and if you dont have cores, you can do it with prisms. That’s the point.
