Just ordered a Lepy LP A68 from ebay for $13.71. It was the most reasonable and comes from China. Will be here in 3 - 4 weeks. Thanks for the info!

I know this is 6 years old so not sure if these components are even still available but I was wondering if you can answer a question. I have an unusual requirement. I need to set up a room such that audio will start playing when someone enters and flips on the light switch/power outlet that the audio source is plugged into. What's unusual is that it may be a year or two before anyone enters this space and I may not be present or even know when they show up to enter the space. The "room" is a dry crawl space at the end of a long quest/hunt that has had the team traveling around the country and solving puzzles and discovering clues to get to the next place. Its a bit like the Amazing race meets a series of Escape Room type challenges. Its been going on already for 5 years already (COVID slowed it down a lot) but getting closer to the end. Since this is the last stop and they may not come upon it for another year or two its too long a period of time to leave an audio source powered on waiting to be triggered by a motion sensor. I'm wondering if any of the options you show here would start playing automatically as soon as they are powered on so I could set it up and leave it and it would start playing when they flip the light switch on that also powers an outlet in the space. Thanks for any suggestions

Do you have videos where you are actually hooking these devices up and showing how they sound?

For a canstant background ambient sound how would you configure the serial mp3 module or lepy to loop a mp3?

I really appreciate these videos. I need to work on our sound. I did order a Lepy LP-V9s last year. It was doing something weird but I can't remember what it was doing now. Your video has caused me to pull it out and take it with me today to play it and see what it was doing that I didn't like. And of course, the power supply is not in the box so I will have to find one that will work. It has 12V2A on the back. When looking online to order another one, it shows that it comes with a 3A power supply. Is that what I should use for the one I have?

Im glad! Yeah play with it and see what its doing, maybe we can pinpoint the problem. These mini amps are usually all 12V2A, depending on the seller some include power supplies some don't...all mine i've had to buy separate. A 2A power supply will run it just fine, but a 3A would give you extra headroom (ie more volume and/or bass).

Thank you so much for this info. I will test it out today and let you know what it is doing or not doing.

I just purchased one of these and now realize, the power supply I was going to use doesn't fit the plug on the amp. What size do I need?

Hmmm thats odd, its a pretty universal plug size. I believe the exact size is 2.1mm X 5.5mm...they are the same size a CCTV plugs if you are familiar with those.

I am in need of a device that will play a recording immediately when power is applied to it. And when power is taken away and applied again it will play the same track from the beginning again. So just an autoplay start of track 1 each time. (track is 5 minutes long, and there is only 1 track on the sd card) any input to help me out?
