I bought my '22 Rubicon in Dallas, and the lack of a pull/kick start distressed me. I looked to buy a pull start, but the 520 accessories don't even list a pull start on the US models. Turns out, the old 420 pull start kits mount perfectly on these 520 engines. Thank you, ebay! With the included capacitor, that fits right into the battery compartment in a molded area designed for it, you can start and run them with no battery at all. Having that installed is real peace of mind, even though I haven't needed it in the two years since I added it. *edit to add* Also, having a pull start REALLY helps when doing a valve adjustment.
I love the DCT on my 2021 Rubi. I like it for a couple of reasons. One, like you mentioned, is because when I ride i wear ridng boots that are too thick to get under it to shift. Becomes a big pain inn the a**. TWO, I love the convenience of just shifting it up or down by the press of a button. I hardly use the automatic mode, actually. Love your videos and location. Montana very beautiful state.
I love my 2023 Rubicon Deluxe DCT. I only have about 500 miles on it but so far its been great. My reasons are pretty much the ones u mentioned. I'm hopefully buying my wife a 2024 Rubicon Deluxe this summer. There's only one here in Maine and hopefully it's still available when the time comes to buying it.
I just bought my very first ATVs with the DCT, a 2024 420 Rancher DCT and a 2024 520 Rubicon DCT H/L range. Graduated I don’t have the mileage on mine you do, and me personally I NEVER use mine in auto, but ESP only, I love mine. I like the electric shift, but I also like the auto mode because that makes it possible for me to let a family member or friend ride it without them that isn’t familiar with how to shift a Honda, or just isn’t familiar with an ATV in general. I like the ability to be able to go into lower range, because I use mine to move big heavy jet aircrafts around our hangar as a tug truck, and it works perfectly, plus when we go camping in the wilderness of Alaska, we like to pull a trailer loaded down with all our gear, and the low range keeps it from pulling the shit out of the transmission, when we get into some pretty hairy spots. The DCT had far more pros than cons for me personally, contrary to what my friends told me before I bought them. I ain’t into going fast, I like to explore, hunt with, and work from my Honda’s, and there will never be an ATV better suited for all those activities then the Honda ATV’s, hands down!
My foot shift is the same way so whats the deal? I just switched to amsoil 0w40 to see if it gets any better. When it's cold and you try to shift up to 3rd or 4th you just hit a wall like there's no gear at all, it usually just does it once until it warms up but i paid to damn much for it to do it at all.
If the battery dies it WILL run! That’s why you have an alternator. The battery is only there to start the motor. Once the motor is running, the alternator keeps the battery charged, which provides electrical power to various components.
I like my foot shift on my Rubicon, but I am seriously considering getting DCT on my next motorcycle, probably an Africa Twin. Being in 'stop and go' traffic can be a pain with a manual clutch on a bike.
My go 2 is a foot shift. I hate electric shift. My friend got a DCT. It is waaaaaayyy better then the electric shift but I still prefer my foot shift. Nothing against DCT just takes some getting used to. Overall seems like they are good
you must be a biden voter ? confused about freedom, dislike americans over illegal aliens, cmon everybody know biden is too old and confused to be president, had the hidden scandals with Burisima in ukraine, allows invaSIOn of usa with mexicans, attacks America freedoms listed in amendments to constitution.
Loved the vid man. This is definitely the fourwheeler I'll go with whenever I can afford to get me one.
The Canadian version has a pull recoil which could be installed.
If you have a dead battery you won’t be stranded

You can get an add on recoil starter for these Rubicons . I have a 2021 Honda Rubicon deluxe with the only issue being starter solenoid.
Love my 21 DCT. Has been very good to me so far.

It will not start without a charged battery or jump box on it continuously. Electric fuel pump

What size hitch ball fits on these Honda atv 2”& what size shank?
2018 yamaha.... wasn't that with the Subi engine?
Only in the 700 it would have had the Subaru engine.

Have you ever run tracks on a Honda ATV?
I have not
Bro I love how your put Trump and Biden’s face in the thumbnail, Trump 2024 🇺🇸
Why are people so obsessed with rich creepy old men?
You put that tool where the kicker would be on a manual. Not in the back.
Weird that you bring politics into something that doesn't need it.
Humor. It’s okay. If a thumbnail hurts your feelings you don’t need to watch anyways
@@JacobOverman I agree on both accounts.
Dont worry about it
