  • The Enchanted Forest was a theme park in Ellicott City, Maryland, on U.S. Route 40 (Baltimore National Pike) near the intersection with Bethany Lane. Appealing mostly to families with small children, the park had a nursery rhyme theme.

    "Howard County History in a Minute" is collection of videos that originally aired as a segment on Howard County TV called "Pages from the Past" and was narrated by Richard Homes. The stories look at a small piece of Howard County history.
    These videos are now part of Howard County Historical Society's video repository.
    Howard County Historical Society presents a wide variety of engaging public programs, concerts, lectures, and other activities. The Society also welcomes school groups, scouts, home schoolers, adult groups, and the public to participate through field trips and outreach programs.

      I grew up in Columbia in the early 90s, when they had ceased operations as a fully functioning theme park, but the grounds remained open as a what amounted effectively to a public park furnished with a bunch of statues and open playgrounds. What about you?
