My wife is a wonderful Mother. She is still young, we have two beautiful boys. She has a lot of knowledge, first hand from her own difficult childhood and what seems to me a deep instinctual, intuitive measure of what is needed in any given situation. But yes Love, care, nurture is at the core here, I am a very fortunate husband and father and I have learned quite a bit from her and I am 29 years her elder.
Hi Stephen You are lucky to have so much good in your life and most of all well done for appreciating your wife. I am just like your wife as a mother and l loved my kids with all l have. Yet my 33 year old daughter has broken down the relationship with us. It is heart breaking.
Absolutely spot on Emmy !🙏🙏although the knowing IS well rooted here that ANY effort moves me away from the present moment , existential guilt is still here , and this is because I haven’t loved me hard enough for it to dissolve in the universal heart - what we miss is that what we hold IN that moment is generational angst and we can’t see - unless we realise who we truly are - that sitting with this guilt, not dwelling nor dismiss , we hollow the bone for generations ahead of us !thank you!needed this reminder today ❤️💎
It was the best experience! I liked having small children. It was tiring & moneg was a,big worry, but it was nice when they were small. Gets much harder later on and I wish them safe and happy and with a purpose in life.
Motherhood is a constant worry for me that's got worst now their adults! 😢 I hate that my wellbeing is determined by their state! Knowing you have an unhappy child who is in a state of suffering is tough!

Emmy. There is no coincidence. That much I know. I just came from a video that just blew my mind and I just finished writing a comment about them perhaps being the greatest parents on the planet. The video is " It's a beautiful day - The Browne family band". I know you will love the experience. Honestly, the bass player is the closest to an angel on earth I have seen. Never seen people shine so bright. The boy on bogos is hilarious. Funnier than Benny Hill, Ricky Gervaise, the Two Ronnies and Monty Python put together. I have seen many bands in my time Iggy, Bowie , Fela Kuti, Talking Heads,The BULGARIAN STATE CHOIR, Eeek a Mouse, but I would rather see The Browne Family band any day. Much love.
Great advice . Beautiful wise words ...As my mother says ' A mothers place is always in the wrong'. Yoga chanting and meditation helped me when i discovered it - but I had four so this was quite late because I was too busy. They were teenagers by then! But mothering continues on.....and thes tools help as do Emmy's words
Dear Emmy, Hearing you in this video was like a balm to my very anxious heart after discovering a surprise second pregnancy at age almost 42. I thought this from all the angles, and I (and we, with my husband) decided to keep the baby. But today I found myself very sad, very overwhelmed and anxious at the thought of slowing down so many things that I wanted to focus on, for self actualization, in the near future. The constant giving of especially first couple of years...how do I remain content, protecting my core that tells me I dont have to fully give up on myself, and also remain a present, positive mother to my kids...these are the struggles making my heart feel heavy today. If only I could have a brief chat with you...
Dear Emmy, thank you for your video. Can you speak to the 1 in 5 women with unchosen childlessness in the cohort of women born since the 1960’s. There are of course many men who are with unchosen childlessness too. I believe there are different ways to mother and father in the world. It is an equally not easy experience which can also bring personal evolution and joy. It has not been this high since post World War 1. I wish to bring in their voices in to this exploration of motherhood. Warmly Julie
Thank you ma'am. We will lose unless we had strong faith and patience. I emphasize that children had no right to disgrace their parents with even a slight look or even half a word. In case that happened the parent has to seek compensation from God almighty. The effort will fruit here and there. I encourage mothers to raise their children on sharing everything willfully. The individualism and lack of trust in society is widespread unfortunately. Banks and heartless elites fill the gap and people keep producing them. The natural byproduct of all that is what we see in Gaza today.
Thank you for connecting the great emphasis on individualism and the way our political world is disintegrating. There’s a lot we can change by better education.
Emmy this was a very helpful talk for me, thank you. 🙏
Good. I am glad it was of some use to you.
Thanks!

Thank you for this realistic commentary on being a mother. It is kind and honest I think. ❤

Yes. But when they are adults you need to trust that they will figure it out.
