- In today's vlog we head over to Walt Disney World's Polynesian Village Resort to rent a Sea Ray Sea Racer boat! We take a 45 min self guided tour around Bay Lake, and it was a lot of fun!! We were able to get a closer look at what remains of River Country water park and we could see a teeny bit of the buildings on Discovery Island! We weren't able to get out of the boat and actually go to either but it was still cool to see it so close! We also got a closer look at the backside of the Copper Creek Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Then we head in and have some lunch at Captain Cook's restaurant inside the Polynesian Resort! It was an awesome day on lake for sure and we definitely recommend renting a boat if you have time while you're here! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

OK Mr. Tim......I LooOOoOOooOOoooove that shirt. HOWEVER...., the name tag says "Captain", the shoulder boards say you are an Admiral and the Anchor with the 2 stars says you are a Master Chief Petty Officer................You are a ONE MAN FLEET!!!!
was fortunate to go on to Discovery Island in 1978 with my family. Lots of wildlife and flamingoes, and a bird show. Also, had a blast on my honeymoon in '81 piloting my own "sprite" alongside my new hubby. My craft was much quicker and I ran circles around him for the entire tour around 7 Seas and Bay Lake. Thanks for bringing back some lovely memories
It's Still cool Seeing River Country and Discovery Island!
When I was a kid , 16 yrs old in 1980. A long time ago... I had one of those boats and was ripping around the lake as fast as I could. I saw the BIG ferry coming across my path and thought it would be fun to hit the wake. (I had been driving boats and water skiing for years). Well I hit the wake pretty close to the boat. At an angle i jumped the wake, the boat and engine came out of the water! The engine was screaming! Scared the day lights out of me!!!! I went back to the Poly and got out. They said you have more time. I just said thanks I am done and took off both inking I damaged the boat. Back then...$5.00 per hour. Keep it up I love your channel!
Disney could do a horror movie just based on what is left of Discovery Island. That could be quite intense!
Oooo, I would love to see something like that
It really would be very intense!
There are horror stories that have already come from people who have tried to go over night.... but they are sadly not in movie form and are probably waaay over exaggerated.
Thanks for the memories, we did this back in 1979 on our Disneymoon.
Dude & Dudette, this is 1 of my favorite video's of your channel. Loved it!!!
I was just re-watching the Polynesian one a few minutes ago listening to Tim talking about "One of these days we're gonna rent a boat." Good job you two.
:-)
You guys were awesome to watch how excited you were to drive the boat. Looked like so much fun, we definitely want to do this sometime!
The boat rides in Disney are so much fun. Our family rented the boats over by Yacht Club on our last trip. It was neat to ride over to Hollywood Studios. Thanks for sharing.
One of my absolute favorite past times to do as a cast member. So much fun, just watch out for the water patrol!
One of my fave videos by Jenn and Tim! I love renting the Mouse Boats (I'll always call them the Mouse Boats) and zipping around Seven Seas Lagoon.
Praise again! In the 80's, we rented "water sprites" (single passenger) at the Contemporary dock. Sixty minutes was $60; that was expensive back then. I was surprised at their lack of safety warnings or simple instructions. We got busted by Mickey's Coast Guard twice; one for bouncing over the wakes of ferries, and again for pulling side-by-side to pass a camera. We both got horribly sunburned under our jaw-lines - lots of reflection! Such memories....... Thanks for sharing - and, you da'best!
I loved this video, I could feel the fun! Tim - I know these things matter to you..... the audio was on point and Jenn, I know these things matter to you..... your skin looked amazing and your lip colour was on point!! 😂😂😂 K x
This vlog made me miss sunshine soooo much. 40* and rainy and cloudy and yucky. Can’t wait for spring break!
Thx Tim and Jenn for brightening my day.
Vera Garcia I love living in Florida but we think 70 is cold
Looks like fun!
Not to brag, BUT I rented the Grand One Yacht from the Grand Floridian and took my fiancé in front of Magic Kingdom and proposed during the finale of the firework show. Champagne and chocolate strawberries!
Tim's outfit is spot on!! I rented a boat a few years ago and it's a lot of fun! Always love the water bride! You guys should have switched shirts when she became captain! You see so much cool stuff on the water there! Thanks for bringing us along!
Hello Tim & Jen. We loved your boat tour. It was so nice to see our DVC home. Love, Love staying at the Poly. Looking forward to today's Tracker post.
Excellent shot of the monorail going overhead!!! I think we will have to try this on our next visit! Looks so fun!
It was a lot of fun!
That looks like a ton of fun! You definitely have to come back and do the race! Love the hats!
12:00 Great view of Monorail green coming out of the Contemporary and going over you.
I love when you two vlog together! And you looked like you had sooo much fun at fun spot yesterday 😁 my favorite daily vlogger
Yay! The Polynesian! We really need to stay there one day. Looks like you had so much fun!
When I went to Virginia, there's a road that went under a part of the ocean, and it still blows my mind every time I think of it
Are you referring to the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel, Monitor Merrimac Bridge tunnel or the Hampton Roads bridge tunnel.
Sorry, was just curious. I was born, raised in Hampton Roads so that entire area is my old stomping ground. 😊
Much of my family are scared of bridges and/or tunnels, so they opt to drive Military hwy or other ways and drive waaaay out of their way to avoid them .
I'll never forget riding the boats with my brother. I wasn't paying attention and ran into him with my boat. I was waving at my dad which was filming us. We have the whole thing on video from 1988.
We stayed at the Grand Floridian years ago and rented the little Sea Racer Boats. They were slow moving - but fun. The most fun we had was renting the Pontoon Boat. Took the whole family and sister and brother in law and their kids. GREAT fun - and it moves a little faster! LOL Definitely going to do that again.
It's so cool you guys got to do this, after Tim's been talking about how much he wanted to! Great video!
I want my new aesthetic to be Jenn in a captain's hat- so pretty.
Most epic shirt ever!!! Water Mouse then Water Sprites.....those were the coolest things ever. I swear they used to go a whole lot faster.....at least as a teenager they seemed like they did!
This Looks So FUN!!!! I'm gonna try to convince my Hubby to do this with me in Fall 2020
I love the trees and when you are on the boat I like the waves splashing and the Boat bumping
I knew the Trackers were awesome but the Lonely Island reference just confirms it.
One of my favourite things to do and recommend for any Disney World holiday is to do the sea racers! It’s so much fun and they’re super speedy...although it goes faster with one person in each boat.
Jenn looks so adorable in that captains hat!
Love the boats at the Polynesian. Childhood memories .
Love the way you dressed for the occasion! Brilliant 😊
I love that Tim wore an appropriate t shirt & you had skipper hats too!!
YEAH! You've been "threatening" to do this for so long! I'm so glad you finally went for it!
Saying we were threatening it sound scary.
Scary how AWESOME it was ;)
KING OF THE BOATS!!!!!!!!!!
Great vlog you two, sooooo much fun! Now I want to go boating, WOW! What a fun day. Captain 😉
What a brilliant and unique shot of the monorail 🚝
We just rented a boat from the Poly a few weeks ago too, but we got a pontoon boat. So cool to see the shoe tree and Discovery Island up close!
Fun guys. We rented a mouse boat from Fort Wilderness on our very first vacation to WDW in 1998. Can't believe it was 20 years ago. Discovery Island was fantastic a relaxing place to go as a break from the parks.
One of my favourite videos! I love boating and enjoyed your excitement for it captains!
That was REALLY REALLY fun to watch. I have never been boating on that lake, but this is definitely something I've wanted to do for a day when I visit this fall. I can't wait!
I LOVE going out on the boats. Every year me and my family try to do it at least once. The huge 21 foot boats are awesome too!
Hi Tim And Jenn my daughter and I watch your Vlog every day thanks for all your hard work we really appreciate it.
Ahhh I did this with my dad in 1993 out of the Polynesian!
So cool. I rode a boat as a kid at the Polynesian and on my honeymoon at what used to be Dixie Landing, which is now Port Orleans Riverside. Back in the 90s, it was part of a package and you could choose boats, bikes, etc. I hope to try it again as you guys did.
You guys actually put a smile on my face.. thanks for getting me excited to go to Florida (love from the UK) ✌
You guys should totally walk that trail to pass the gates for river country and give the back story if you haven't already.
Sounds like a fun hike!
TheTimTracker You and Jenn should really do it if you can! You could also talk about some of the stories floating around why they closed down. I've heard some hear and there.
Somebody has done that on RUclips but I don’t recall the channel. They were also banned from Disney as a result.
FamilyEscapades banned from just walking along the trail from one resort to the other?
GTzNTnTzSwtGal92 No, passing the No Trespassing signs and filming inside of River Country.
Isn't it strange how a sound can bring back so many memories, my brother and myself had holidays at a seaside town with a boating lake ( in England) and the motor boats sounded the same, not surprisingly 😆
My gosh that was fun guys! Loved how you both drove the boat more slowly. It's a good way to enjoy your surroundings better! I laughed so hard cause Tim was so darn funny as usual! ✌🏼❤️🌸
You guys are the best!!! If your going over spring break, I hope to see you there!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this! Surprising my fiance (then husband) with a boat rental when we go!
If you are not aware, the Disney Wilderness campground area has a boat light parade on the lake at night. We were there this past summer and just missed the parade. We saw them driving away but check it out if you will be in the area. I believe they only do it a couple of nights a week.
I remember when I was a kid I went on one of these with my uncle driving. It was super fun
Wow I am so doing this on my next Disney trip.
I have 2 frosted tiki glasses too. I love them. The only thing I have left from my first trip to WDW. We always plan at least 2 days out of the parks. One to explore our hotel and one to explore a few others so we can decide where to stay next time
I work at Capt Cook's. They definitely made you a fresh Flatbread. The Flatbreads come down to Cooks presauced and cheesed. We just add toppings before cooking. We don't even have extra cheese to add to them at Cooks without having to go upstairs to main kitchen to get cheese. We are also training a LOT of new CM's right now on register, so sorry you had a mix up in your order. I was probably training at Oasis the day you stopped in. :)
Back in the day, they were called "Water Sprites" or "Water Mouse" boats depending on where you rented them, but I totally did those when I was little, and I did them again with my own kids. It appears the actual models of the boats has changed (improved?), probably updated too, now that they are Sea Racers. You look like you all had a blast.
I think they used to be called "water mice" :) We used to do these all the time!! LOVED them!
That looks like so much fun! You really seemed to have a great time. Thanks for taking us with you through RUclips. :)
Love your hats and Tim shirt. I think all those boats on the water would make me nervous but did look like a lot of fun. Thanks for another great video.
Added to my Disney bucket list. It looks so fun.
Captain 👨✈️ Tim and Captain 👩✈️ Jen, didn’t know that you could do this, looks awesome and it’s definitely on our to do list when we next go✈️, as usual great VLOG 👍😀
Looks like so much to.
Hope your going to do more of firsts, I love seeing them!! 💗
I went on the mouse boats when I was a kid and I specifically remember a bee flying and getting stuck in the boat underneath where your feet are and I freaked out and tried to take evasive maneuvers to get rid of it so I wouldn't get stung. Good times.
Great footage! We were there in May and rented a pontoon boat, so we could get four people on board. It was so much fun!!!
HAIL HYPNOTOAD!
Great job guys,. thanx. You let me see things I've never seen before, from very different perspectives!
Oh - and you both looked adorable in your Capt's outfits! :)
Tim! The Cast Member you rented the boat from is my dad! I heard his voice in the background and started freaking out! Lol! I hope he was super nice to y’all! When my brother and I were little, we would come rent boats all the time just to bother my dad at the window 😂
This was so fun to watch! I can't wait to do this sometime! Thanks for a great video as always
Love the Poly! Gotta do the boats again someday.
We loved renting the pontoon boat!!! So fun!
Those boats, are so cool. Nice vlog, captains.
They’re so much fun! Did end up at river country week before it opened/beached it. Tried to do it every trip.enjoy!
Great video as always! I loved the Lonely Island reference! Did Poseidon look at you?! Lol
I used to work at the seven seas marina! You can actually rent the speed boats from Sammy Duvall watersports place at the contemporary.
another hit! i love the Polynesian!
That was really cool and fun ... thanks!
You know what my next trip to Orlando will probably end up with me not being able to go to the parks but this would be a fun alternative to not being in the parks. I may very much actually just rock some Disney ears and hop into one of those for 45 mins and ride around seeing things I haven’t seen before!
Tim is the king of everything! 'King of the bus' 'King of the track' and now he's 'King of the boat' he is so epic.
Well, there used to be the paddle boats to rent in the marina that was in the middle of the towers of the original Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. But now that is the pool. Sad to see the marina go. It was loads of fun relaxing that way.
Great video today!!Thank you for posting fantastic videos every day!!! Im such a huge fan! I love how you enjoy everything doing! You also are SO funny!!😂❤️
Thank you so much!
Wow 4 docks it might be a paradocks that looks like a lot of fun Tim and Jenn i am glad you were able to ride together my friends.
Haha!
When I was little me and my family used to always drive those little boats
If you are thinking of doing a Fireworks boat do the Pirated and Pals at the contemporary it's so much fun!
That is one of my favorite things to do. 1st did it in 1978. River Country was a great place also. What a fun vlog. Thank you for the tour. What a perfect day for a boat ride. I agree with Tim I would be a happy man if I could do that every day!
Thank guys (gal) I never knew you could do this! Great vid.
Loved this video!!! Thanks for this! I want to do this next time I go to wdw!
After watching you guys have so much fun, I regret not trying this on my last trip. Putting this on my "to do" list. Thanks!
what a fun day out! we may need to try this next time we visit!
Too bad Disneyland doesn’t have anything like this. We’re doing this at least once for sure on our trip next month
I have driven that boat and also a large boat,i also was lucky enough to go to river country
I know why all those emergency vehicals were there nothing bad happend here is a copy and paist of the report
after departing the Transportation and Ticket Center, one of Monorail Red's doors opened unexpectedly during the middle of the journey. Three fail-safe systems were not activated. Nobody was injured, and Disney removed the train from service for inspection.
I love the little mouse boats! They are soo much fun!! I too did them a few times as a kid.
you two are BRILLANT!!!!
arghhhhhhh captains, that was a bit of mighty fine sailing yer dids there arrrrggggggg
a pause of sadness for rive country
:-(
