Having The Best Day Ever At Fun Spot America | Roller Coaster POVs, Fast Go Karts & A Big Swing!

- In today's video we head to Fun Spot America where we have contacted them in order to bring a GoPro onto the rides and film them for you guys! It was an excellent day of riding roller coasters and other rides. We started out on White Lightning the wooden roller coaster at Fun Spot America. Following that we rode Freedom Flyer which is both a hanging coaster and a VR roller coaster. It was the best VR roller coaster I have ever been on. The way the coaster has smooth sweeping turns rather than loops and hard turns. We then went over to the Route 66 section of the park and rode Go Karts! The Go Carts are so much fun and fast! We then took a tour of the whole park including the all new Gator Spot area that was built in conjunction with Gatorland Florida. Join us tomorrow for an all new video!

This video definitely took a lot of pre-planning. I was messaging back and forth with them for a long time before they gave the ok to come out and film. I was glad to be able to share the POVs I had a lot of fun there.
It is kind of like advertising for them in a way. At least that is sort of the way it seems in my mind, sure the locals probably know it well....but this gets it out to a wider audience. If you are in the area and instead of...or in addition to going to the large theme parks....there is a nice traditional style amusement park to go to.

Serious rollercoaster hair, awesome. It's amazing how far rollercoaster technology has come that a small little place can have amazing thrill rides. It amazes me as well how Tim can have the go pro steady enough, on every rough ride has been on, that it doesn't shake. Driving skills with one hand.
Hehe! I have been holding cameras on rides for a long time now. It definitely comes with practice. It did help that the GoPro was strapped to my hand. :-)

Okay while Tim was riding the white lightning wooden coaster it reminded me of a vhs from the 90s I had of random coasters across the USA. There’s one clip of Santa Clause riding a coaster at holiday world and Tim reminded me of that 😂

Holy crap, my friend and I rode Enterprise . . . . . . . . . . . After we got off we sat at the benches right next to it for about 20 minutes. In shock. It's a miracle we didn't die. I would never ride it again, but it was awesome!! And White Lightning is SO MUCH FUN!!!! Wooden coasters FTW! I also feel like it's way more intense than it looks.
So much fun. It would be funnier if I was there!

I'm so glad I came across your vedio. My husband and kids are planning a mini vacation this October and was looking for things to do in Orlando and Destin. Tempting to go to Disney lol but that's until next year. I saw an add about Fun Spot America and had to look up some vedios. Just happy to see that your vedio popped up and quickly clicked on it.
The Sea Serpent ride is originally from Ocean City, NJ!!!!! I grew up there and rode it all the time when I was little!!! I live here in Orlando now, and I can’t wait to take my daughter on it when she’s big enough (like every other ride here in Orlando) 😂

I live really close to a wooden roller coaster(about 500 yards). The Yankee Cannonball. It is an Old School coaster built in 1930. Moved from Connecticut to Canobie Lake Park(Salem NH) in 1936.

Ok I didn't even know we was getting a Fun Spot in Atlanta. With investigation I see that Fun Spot bought the old Dixieland Park in Fayetteville about 20 miles south of Atlanta. That could be both interesting and dangerous.
It sounds like an interesting story, They bought Fun Junction and are keeping all the employees and adding new rides and improving work conditions. I'm interested to see how the park changes!
its going to be way better with Fun Spot in charge. I liked Dixieland/Fun Junction when it was in its heyday, but I think there is a lot of room for them to make it even better now.

We have a ride here in the UK at Thorpe Park just like that Space Invader ride. It’s called Rush. It’s a bit bigger because it can hold lots more people but it’s such a great ride. Definitely recommend
I was recently at the Kissimmee one. That's always a good thing to do to contact them beforehand to get permission to film on rides, I've done that many times back in the UK with good results. Thumbs up Tim....Geoff Dean

Since your visit, the Paratrooper and Samson truck have been moved to Atlanta. The big Ferris Wheel has been removed, but I don't know what is taking its place.
The Eagle roller coaster at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, is a wooden one.
You should come to Six Flags over Georgia. The Scream Machine is going backwards and it's a wooden coaster.

I'm thrilled that you published this! I was just in Orlando last week for an audition and noticed these coasters from I-4 but kept thinking to myself "isn't that where fun-spot go-karts used to be?" They only had go-karts and a ferris wheel when I lived there many many years ago.
The whole park to yourself; like the Griswalds in "National Lampoon's Vacation." Only thing that would've made the trip better would have been John Candy sitting next to you. :)

Tim, have you ever gone to Orlando Kart Center? If you want to have some fun on go karts, that's the place. They are serious drift racing karts, super fast and tons of fun. I make it a point to go every time I get to Orlando.
