Visible Voice - Show(s) your emotions

Spiegelstem is a physical space with interactive light projection. By making sounds, you "paint" colors, lines, and shapes on the projection floor of the space. A camera and microphone record everything you do, which is then translated into projected visual images. Anything goes! Talking, humming, shouting, stomping: each sound produces different colors and textures. With your body, you "control" the paintbrush. In this way, Spiegelstem invites you to express and feel your emotions with your whole body. Spiegelstem responds to your emotions: you are seen and heard. Playfully, you create a personal artwork that you have made with your own movements and voice. Spiegelstem teaches young people emotion-regulating skills in a playful and creative way. Additionally, Spiegelstem provides an opportunity for mentors to engage in conversations with young people about their emotions using a voice painting.
