Troubleshoot Temp Indicator on a Ford 2000 Tractor

Troubleshoot Temp Indicator. Video shows how I troubleshoot temperature indicator in this Ford 2000 Tractor. I have not found any information on this system so I am guessing how to troubleshoot. Be advised I could be doing the wrong thing.

Did changing the voltage regulator fix the problem? I'm thinking I might have to do this for my car.

what was the voltage stabilizer cslled u bought?

The "voltage regulator" makes voltage pulses. I know this because I've taken apart one. It has a wire that bends when you put current through it. After the wire cools off, it connects the circuit back and the whole cycle repeats again.

I was told not to use Teflon tape on the sending unit as this can interrupt the ground from the block
