First time I played this mission I ended up returning back to the Training Centre and the mission ended since I hadn't the slightest idea how the in-flight menu worked. Only after going through the Training Flights and remapping my keys did I understand you were supposed to check the in-flight menu when that audio comes up and proceed with this mission this way.
