I actually saw this in a LCS and I would like to get the compendiums. How cool that you had them autographed!!!! I remember those graphic novels that would disintegrate. This series seems right up your alley - you love magical items and weapons. Don’t pick those nits; leave them alone!!!!
I find myself getting more interested in western style stories (maybe this is proportional to how much more im aging) so this is a great recommendation. Thanks.
Sticking to your budget you might never upgrade, unless you start selling some stuff, which would add to your budget and keep your daughter's rage in check 😉. I still haven't read the Sixth Gun, but I really want to. I have the Deluxe Editions on the shelf just waiting for me. I have a few big readthroughs in progress (Peter David Hulk!) so maybe in a couple of months.
@@LarrysLibrary I'm not sure I have an "I need it" list. I'd like to have one, but I do like stuff from most eras and publishers. I do have several books that realistically I might never get to, so I'm getting pickier every day. New taxes on imported books and unfavorable exchange rates have also helped me hit the breaks on my buying habits.
I remember re-reading my original Captain America: Operation Rebirth TPB a few years after it came out and the pages falling out at the end of the book. For whatever reason, I've had TWO separate Witchblade Vol. 1 volumes and some Penny Farthing TPBs that have all disintegrated after opening the cover. The Penny Farthing TPBs are 20 years old, but the Witchblade TPBs are maybe 10? That said, I have the first 6 volumes of the Sixth Gun and that Sons of the Gun collection, but I've only read the first one! 👀
I've been wanting to get this series, but was not sure which versions to get. I see IST has a new book coming out tomorrow, so I may end up going with those softcover omnibuses. It looks like 4 total will collect the entire series.
Awesome review Larry! I have the deluxe hcs. Need to finish this one. They are coming out with a “shadow roads” tpb next week. I don’t believe that’s in any other collection.
Totally excellent series!!
YES
Really cool bookends, Larry! Great video. 👍
Thanks and I appreciate you watching!
I love stories that blend different genres so I'm definitely going to check this out.
I love when that happens too!
Great review, Larry.
Thanks Deathtone!
Wow! Ive always wanted to read this... but you just got me with "If you're a fan of supernatural...the tv series" !
Hah! There you go

Well slowly but surely all the classic Marvel stuff I "need" is being or has already been collected....so I think I am starting to make some headway

@@marcelo-ramos Yeah I feel like I'm slowing down too. Slowing down the buying and reading MORE.

@@burntdice2810 Very interesting
Hey, Larry!
Hey Ben!
Love sixth gun, I have the remender sized hardcovers. There are 6 of them and they are lovely quality.
Nice....will have to get them eventually MAYBE
Why the tpb when compendium are cheaper
This set was a gift from my daughter. I don't know when/where they were purchased.
@@LarrysLibrary Going to get compendium as some volumes of tpb are out of print and deluxe is the same also expensive
@@LarrysLibrary After reading omnibus vol 1 I realize the best way to read is tpb since there are gutter loss in every edition except tpb
@@dinjoDJ Most interesting!
