- Our brand new game mode Hide n Seek comes is out now on all platforms! Crewmates have to outrun and outlive the Impostor as they use their wits to complete tasks to make the timer run out faster. Trailer shown as part of The Game Awards 2022.

I absolutely love the screeching metal that starts playing when the imposter gets close. On top of being a great indicator, it makes the game mode just that much more terrifying.

This all just really goes to show that Innersloth actually *cares* about his community. You don't just hide, there's a completely different Impostor model, there's a danger meter. It's all just very awesome, and that's just from looking at this trailer, imagine actually playing this when it comes out tomorrow.
Forgot to mention, but you also have limited vents (kinda like the Engineer, but less) and a "haunt" mechanic. I'd normally guess what it does, but it's coming out tomorrow so I don't see much point in predicting something that's less than 24 hours away.

that beans update always crashes my game and has that long lasting black screen at the beginning (at least from my experience)

I love how this mode follows all the rules of the classic mode, but with everyone knowing who the impostor is.
I mean, the Crewmates can vent in this mode, and the Impostor can't, so not quite _all_ the rules.

@@seankim8908 Nope, ever since the early days of Among Us, “Red is (always) sus” has been a joke used by a lot of community members. Although nowadays (thank god) it’s a joke rarely said, and you’d be lucky to find someone who says it ironically anymore. (🤓)

@@seankim8908 It’s the color that is most used in most official Among Us related content, inside and outside the game (i.e the “Shhhh” when the game starts, most of the trailers such as the Friend List update, and most people using Red if given the chance. It was generally just the main color.)

I remember playing Hide n Seek with strangers, and it was weird to see people collaborate on this idea in a video game not intended for it. Nice to see it turn into an actual thing.

@@chloegracemusic All of the bigger youtubers that were consistently playing among us at the start of the pandemic where it peaked still play it today for the most part. most of the people that aren't playing it rn are bigger youtubers that would play the game every so often. Or in toasts example , that would basically just use it for clickbait.

This might’ve proven the theory that Imposters are infected individuals & Not just “Serial Killers”.

I love the fact that it's not just a regular side mode, but also has its own story.
The button and the lights are broken all the time (I also imagine the impostor ejection zone is broken as well, but I think that when the hideout time runs out, that area is operational again, making it possible to eject the impostor. But this is just speculation), making the impostor unstoppable for a limited time.
Although something that doesn't add up to me, impostors normally use the vents, but in this mode they don't, that's something that doesn't suit me for a hypothetical story.

Just a quick idea :
A very rare chance for a crewmate to get a role like in the normal gamemode
For example one of the roles could close the nearest door for 2 to 3 seconds to stop the imposter

Haven't played since the end of 2020, and I must say this game has improved a lot. The only thing I'd remove is the quick chat. I would love to see another game mode. Maybe a racing one
If you want, you can have free chat & quick chat at the same time, quick chat just make it quicker

The OST for this mode is INSANE. The bass line is sick as heck and the shrieking guitar gets the adrenaline pumping.

It's awesome that this is an official mode now! I think it started as a fan-made idea, so it's nice to see that you implemented it as a real way to play. Now players won't need to disobey the logic of a normal Among Us match.

@@AllieAnn02 I just think that the seeker were not given enough time to find 14 players across the whole map, and to make it worst the hiders can vent to get away
@@ninjapirate123 agreed, also I play on my chromebook so I'm having to use the mouse to control my character AND to kill. So in order to kill I have to stop my character from moving and go click the kill button. By the time I'm able to click 'kill' the hider has already gotten away. It's pretty difficult. Being a hider is much easier, unless the seeker is very good. Then it becomes more of a challenge.
@@AllieAnn02 Wait I thought controlling your character on chromebook requires arrow keys not your mouse. The only time you use your mouse is when you kill, so shouldn't u be using your arrow keys or WASD to control your character and use the mouse to kill

They now let us actually show love and affection to our pets that have been our emotional supports for some of us. Before the big updates, airship, and remodels, I had every pet. After the update, it took away that feature 😭. Now I can only get lame pets from the packs with the bean things..

Hide and Seek Mode idea is taken from a game called Silly Royale but the developers just went on another level with that idea and just made it a tad bit better. Hats off.

Everyone is super excited about the game mode, and trailer, so am I! But… nobody every mentioned how actually talented at animating Innersloth is, like, the person/people who animate these trailers are super good.
I am disappointed how nobody is talking about what a banger on a song they made too. I now want music to play as the game goes on now.
Not saying the animation sucks but I have seen better among us animations like Rodamrix,for example.

I remember playing the „OG Hidenseek“ where the players also hid and the impostor had to search, but the bad thing was that you still could report dead bodies or do emergency meetings, god it was so annoying...

_What once we played as _*_Hide & Seek_*_ became _*_Shift & seek_*_ after the shapeshifter mod update. Eventually they realised the need of a dedicated hide & seek mod. It’s good to know that Innersloth is trying to provide the players what they really want from the game. Kudos to the update!_

The impostor goes insane, enters its true form unsubtly as it tears the core functions of the map apart, and goes into a monsterous rampage... And the eject functions are locked until the systems are all repaired.
Dang, this is the biggest change since Specialized Roles.
And another thing. Thank you for adding new content that works normally unlike some modes. We appreciate your work
Thinking they should add a 1 crew mate mode
You should add a freeze tag mode! The impostor(s) can freeze crew and the crew can unfreeze them! It could be similar to hide and seek where the impostor has a time limit which is reduced by tasks, or it could be entirely based on tasks
