Rickroll
You had a chance to do a Rickroll lol
I know. I was so wishing it was a rickroll!!!
Wasted an opportunity to do a Rick roll
Not making that a rickroll is a big dissapointment
It just makes you smile to know that someone so talented and kind can have an extended stay in the spotlight with a song that is one of the catchiest pop tunes of all time.
Check out his cover of Foo Fighters "Everlong". Just Rick and an Acoustic guitar. It's here on YouTbe and it's impressive.
@@perriephillips1549 He really is very talented. I liked his youtube videos from the pandemic, just at home with a guitar. 🥰
Well said!
I agree.
No Rick, we're only making fun of Producer Michael... :)
Rick has aged like fine wine. So glad seeing someone out of the 80s in good health great spirits and back at work❤
Seems like a genuinely nice guy, glad he's getting a second chance at singing
He's not getting a second chance, he's giving us a second chance to fall in love with his music :)
well worth seeing live, i went to his concert in my home city Cardiff before covid.....he was excellent, his voice is as good now as it was in 87, probably cos he has never ruined it by wearing it out
I remember the days where it was impossible to find an interview of Rick without getting Rick Rolled 50 million times first. Good times.
Did you see this interview with him?? I thought it was way better than this crappy CBS one. CBS always disappoints!

I love people who are down-to-earth. Just an easy-going, self-aware guy.
He still looks fabulous and still sounds great! I never get tired of his songs!
Dido.
One of the very best singers!!
My nephew is 11 and he has an insane obsession with this song. Unbelievable, this never gets old. I hope the 80s music makes a comeback
Me too! I'm 66 yrs young! I danced to this song when I was a kid too! I hope your nephew plays an Instrument, he has a ear for Music!
He is a great singer such a deep voice
I feel so fortunate to have grown up in this wonderful time. The 70s and 80s where great.
You youngsters should've been around in the early 1800s, to listen to Beethoven live. I'm more blessed! blah blah blahhh
were
Might have been great for you but do you know how much more racism than it was then I'm sure you do wasn't great for everyone. It also wasn't the greatest for women who were constantly being beaten and treated a second class citizens
@@bladetheatrics constantly beaten? really? at least they had more money in their pocket, and could hear good music as they were being beaten.
@@brandondetroitfanmichaels4325 OMG
Sir, it's an honor to be winessing a comment from a person that's over 200 years old. You must've seen so many things!
He is so humble. I like him. And he is still handsome.
I was the guy who handed him his tickets for McCartney. It was in Fort Worth Texas @ Dickies Arena. (I work at box office) Very very cool guy & let me shake his hand & his wife took our picture.
A Legend for all the right reasons. And a Sinatra album would be insane.
I agree!
Here Rick sings Fly to the Moon 💙 ruclips.net/video/dGIywSN4J7g/видео.html
Man, he STILL has such a great head of hair! I'm just two years younger and I didn't have the same luck. Anyway, I'm really happy to see him doing so well. He seems like a really normal, nice, and decent guy. I'm still a fan.
You said it…..I lost most of mine
@@kylequintana Remember the saying: "Not every head is perfect. Some are covered with hair." 🙂
I'd pay to watch him sing Sinatra. He sounded so so good!!!
Rick Astley never gets old. Love it!
I love Rick's humility. 🙏
An absolute legend, he’s a great example for us all
This is absolutely heart-warming. Rick is filled with gratitude and extremely humble. I am 54 and still never get sick of this song!!
Rick's talent has made the world a better place!
I love him. I was a teenager when his songs came out. He still looks great!
Talented guy and I'm glad he kept his sense of humor and humility.
He had these vibes like Alexia Vasileiou in Greece.
I remember hearing it all the time! Ah love! We were young and wanting a guy to sing that to us! I am 57 now. Rick, that song lives on FOREVER!
Yes we were. I liked a few of his tunes.
I don't know why but this interview made me cry. I was an 80s teen too. So many good memories came flooding back. Only 80s teens know what I'm talking about. By far the best decade to be a teenager. Rick is forever a part of that legacy.
That song takes me back to 9th grade- my first year in high school- 1987 was a scary year starting a new school with no friends
i used to dance on it when i went to the UK for english courses . Great period for sure
This couldn't have happened to a better person! I'm so happy for him and this insane journey
Also Rick, you look GREAT! You've aged wonderfully.
I love Rick Astley’s music and he is really talented. Thank you for being an amazing sport and never giving us up!!
"I have learned to roll with it"😂😂😂 omg the pun I am dying
He is so nice. I hope he knows we all love him. If it's any prank that never gets old and never ceases to make me laugh is a Rick Roll.
Ele começou com cara de bebê, e tá envelhecendo bem pois continua bonito carismático.
I can’t believe I got Rick rolled by CBS themselves. Good job!
Rick seems refreshingly real. I wish there were more stars like him.
It’s likely why he never was really a household name in America despite all his success. He was absolutely totally forgettable as a personality.
For those who haven't seen it, search for Rick's cover of Foo Fighter's "Everlong" (done from his own home during the pandemic). It's remarkably good.
Thank you for this. 💚
What a wonderful interview of a brilliant handsome gifted songwriter, singer, producer a great artist.
And a really nice guy.
this guy is so amazing , thunder voice , perfection
His music has seen a resurgence and I’m so happy for him
I love Rick Astley! I had his poster in my room as a teenager. I'm so happy to see he is back and as awesome as ever. ❤️
I love Rick Astley too! I have a t-shirt with him in my wardrobe, and my dream is to meet him and get his autograph 💗
Just went to NKOTB Mixtapes last night, loved seeing all of them, awesome show, made me feel young again. Love Rick Astley!
I will take getting Rick-rolled anytime- always loved his songs. Just saw the mixtape tour in Florida and even my 17yo was gushing how exciting it was to see the man live in concert.
Loved his voice and his songs. One of my favorite dance routines was for "Together Forever" that I wrote for classes at my studio.
He got a gifted voice. I've been listening to his songs recently. I now love them more than ever. I was in diapers when songs came out in the 80s so I never care for 80 music then. But wow he is amazing. Not only a great singer but a wonderful man.
Cry For Help is amazing.
Everyone! Go see the Mixtape Tour 2022 with Rick, New Kids on the Block, En Vogue and Salt n Pepa! Just saw the show in Seattle recently, the show is high energy nostalgic fun and the events staff who see many concerts, said they loved it.
Rick Astley = Legend
He’s still got it !!!😍😍😍
Rick, thank you for returning to what you were born to do. You are a blessing! And Anthony Mason, I bid CBS Mornings farewell when you left the daily broadcast. It just isn't the same without you! Thank you for bringing us this story about an amazing performer!
His Music is timeless!!
His wife Lene is a lovely person. Their love story is a beautiful thing. ❤
Rick Astley was my favorite singer in the 1980s. He virtually changing my musical appetite from kids songs into adult pop ones.
It's great that Rick Astley is so good natured and capable of laughing at himself.
Rick Astley is a legend, and his personality on this meme shows what a great guy he really is.
I encourage you check out his two latest albums ‘Beautiful Life’ or ‘50’- hope to hear some of these on tour
Loved Rick Astley back in the 80’s & now. ❤
Rick astley is so much more than that song. He is a fantastic singer and song writer and producer. So Underrrated.
The song is awesome. Rick Astley is awesome. It was just funny because somebody decided to pick this song to trick us into clicking on a link to whatever we were clicking for back then in the days and that opening beat just kills it. LMAO! I fell for it so many times. We all love this song and Rick's dancing and all. It will never die. God Bless Rick Astley.
"Never gonna give you up" is more than a song. It's a precious relic of a way of interacting with each other they killed.
Rick was one of my favorite singers of all time. Bless his sweet heart....what a true blessing to his wife, family and his fans that NEVER have forgotten him.
Ah yes, the Rick roll! Still love his voice!
Rick is an amazing singer and so handsome. I had the biggest crush on him. I loved watching this. I would love to meet him or go to a concert. I will never get tired of Together Forever. I just bought the new album. Amazing! Keep Rocking Rick!🎤🎶
This guy is still in his 50s! Truly his tour bus is home away from home!
All this time I thought the industry pushed him out of the business 😳. I’m glad it was his decision to step back. What a fabulous voice he had and still does🥰
Love this guy! He has stayed down to earth and sounds/looks fantastic!
So very awesome to see you again, Mr. Aptly. I went out and bought your first album immediately after hearing you on the radio. It's a journey I'll never forget. And now...let's never say goodbye again 💔
i loved him, when i was a young women, and still i love his music. he seems to be a very kind person, and stays on the ground.👍
He has great hair! and a tremendous positive attitude! Good for him
This just makes me smile! What a great career and couldn’t be for a sweeter guy and wonderful family! God bless them!
These artists from the 1980's are awesome, they should all tour together and they would probably sell out. I think the 2020's artists still have a lot to learn although there are some exceptional artists from the 1990's, 2000's, 2010's eras and maybe 1970's or dating back 1960's, the 1980's was a gold era in music, pop culture and movies and many things.
Love the Song back in 1987 and I still love it today
Why have I never seen Rick Astley with a long hair
I don't feel doomed anymore. The people who made the music that helped me keep it together back then are still going strong.
My mom plays this song all the time
Glad to have lived my teens during Rick Astley debut album, which spawned a handful of great hits. I'm surprised this interview failed to mention the producers behind the success of Rick Astley, which is the power house trio, Stock, Aitken, and Waterman (SAW). They had a huge hand in Rick's success worldwide. SAW spawned a lot of great hits back in the 80s for other artists as well, such as Bananarama, Donna Summer, Kylie Minogue to name a few.
Americans don't know who SAW are even though they have had hits in the US. Also Rick Astley split with them acrimoniously he wanted to write his own material and do a different style rather than the style and songs given to him by SAW.
He's a gem.
Amazing Rick, one of the best, always
My 8 year old daughter cannot get enough of this song she loves it. I was 12 when it came out, great days .👍
My 9-y-o son LOVES Rick Astley...we've been listening to A LOT of him these days!
i love rick astley
His voice is one of the uniquest and is such a classic
Most unique
I’m 66 I loved this song still love it❤
good smiley music. happy days. really good voice. thanks Rick😍
Kudos to the New Kids for including him on the Mixtape tour - just brilliant!
"Never gonna give you up". Nevet doing it. Thank you, Rick and Thank you Anthony.
Love his record in 1987 right in San Francisco living on Haight Ashbury!
It's an amazing summer song
Rick and I are the same age 😍😍😍😍 how cool is that 😃
He seems like such a happy person.
He's one of the few big stars that is still with us.
I hope he keeps taking care of himself, we don't want lose him aytime soon.
Never gonna give you up is catchy, Together Forever is bubbly pop, but unlistenable for me, but Cry for Help is legit good and still holds to this day.
Astley seems like a good dude, I wish him well.
I am so behind the times. I didn’t know this was back in 1987! I love this song! He was so adorable!
Always the best form, Rick Astley!
i was merely aware of Rick Astley and his first hit, the day that I saw him perform "Cry For Help" .... and to this day, decades later it still goes straight to my Soul. His booming voice backed up by those beautiful celebrity girls just overwhelms me. But now that I have heard his story, I have a higher appreciation for him than ever.
Very interesting!! May he and his family have long successful lives. Seems like a really nice guy. And he was always so cool!!
Love Rick Astley!!! Watched him last week at the mix tape concert and we had a blast!!!
What a GREAT voice!!! Such a wonderful talent! But just LOVE his music and he is so humble and kind. Thank you Rick!!!! Much love and continued success!!! Have fun touring and singing "the second time around...."
he seems so nice--I had one of his CD's back in the day and many an afternoon, stuck in traffic going home from work, I would sing along to Rick Astley!
I liked his song “Strongman.”
I'm loving that remake! One of the best comebacks, amazing one🌟
Anthony Mason is the best. He knows his music. Rick Astley looks great
FACTS: THIS SONG WILL NEVER DIE
I can’t wait to see him on tour!!!
My Idol in 80’, my age almost same with Rick, I’m also have a young smile😅
He seems like such a nice guy 😊🥺
I love you rick astley
Damn, even CBS MORNINGS, RICK ROLLED US
