    As a Hapkido practitioner, this looks most definitely impressive considering that the bulk of students look to be yellow belts, the second belt in most systems and the first earned! If that’s correct these students have an amazing instructor! Most yellow belts I’ve meet couldn’t preform any of those techniques! Heck the jumping leg triangle thing isn’t even in my curriculum and I’m a black belt.

    Superb demonstration of skills in a superb video. Loving the slow motion effect and the intense music.

    What a great video concept with the slow motion and camera following the action. The techniques were interesting and well executed. Great work team!

    When I did Wtf taekwondo 1981-2000 we all had to learn some hapkido. Not very deep into it but... Great video. Love it. Thanks 😊

    That was amazing the girl grabs him with right hand on left collar and left on right flips upside down locking his head in between her legs to the ground.

    Why choose hapkido and not another self defense?

      More powerful strikes than TKD. Ground fighting. The list goes on.

      Hapkido is a well rounded military art with striking, grappling weapons and joint locks and throws.

    I have participated in several martial arts (not Hapkido 😔) and taught lots of self defense. In my experience NO ONE grabs a person's wrist that way! Nor grabs that way. Someone grabs your clothes they are also striking at the same time.

      How does one grab a wrist then?

      if you have a gun, knife or a sword they will.

      I was in four street fights in one night. I was just walking home. Three of those four fights started with a larger guy grabbing my wrist. The fourth was a smaller guy who grabbed both...

      @jubuthehutt 7 месяцев назад +1

      Many techniques can be applied without starting with the wrist grab, but this is a demo and with many yellow belts.

      @@kennethrogers1129 i did hapkido and im blue belt, the reason behind that is because in a multiple street fight (groups) while you are fighting 1 person, another one may come fron behind and desperately try to grab you from the wrist, then its when you have a lot of techniques in mind to use because you practiced them.
      Its just IN CASE you get grabbed by the wrist why you are trying to kick others face for e.g, or when you are walking away, and somebody grabs u to stay ? then u can pull the technique theorically .
      Its for specific moments, its like when people grab u from the cloth, judokas need to expand their techniques to all parts of the clothes, hapkido does the same, but with different contexts

    Tråkigt .. i Hapkido går 99% ut på snabbhet och precisionen i tekniken, så genom att sakta ner allt till slow motion ser allt bara trååååkigt och seeegt ut ... kör man i normal hastighet så ser man hur svårt, effektivt och hårt det verkligen går till.... sakta ner en balettdansös eller en boxningsmatch så förstör du det med.. lycka till..

    • @amberforce5391
      @amberforce5391 2 года назад

      Have to completely disagree. When you watch a ballet dancer do a pirouette en pointe in slow motion you get to really appreciate the exact precision of the whole body during the movements.

    Its an advantage to know all this stuff. But if you cant block or slip a punch and throw a 1, 2 and a left hook then you cant fight for real. No one will give you his arm for a take down. Imagine fighting Mike Tyson in the rest room of a nite club. What do you do?

      There is no normal attack, but the attacker extending their arm in whatever fashion can be manipulated with numerous hapkido / aikijutsu techniques
