That is indeed the best Hammond clone I've heard to date. I can only imagine what it's like playing something like a Mag organ with the Hx3 engine inside.
Tristian Gallegos yes Tristian, it sounds really amazing. I didn't tried any Mag organ yet but I'm sure it has to be pretty close to the Mojo with the midi module, same engine and the keybeds are TPO80 Fatar as well.
Thanks for all your videos! Please note that HX3 can sound much better than this :-) This video shows the 888 setting, leslie stop, clean sound (jazz oriented). And this is, more or less, what ANY clonewheel can easily do. The real power of HX3 comes out when you hear the full organ, or the saturation simulation: in that case you can understand that it has something "magic", compared to other clonewheels. Also, the HX3 is the best sounding clonewheel with a real leslie (not a granted thing for all clonewheels). I tried all existing clonewheels and compared them with my vintage C3 hammond and the HX3, with a real leslie, has the right keyclick, percussion and chorus behavior. And, to prevent all predictable comments, this is not a matter of personal tastes: anyone with functioning hearing can easily verify :-)))) Thanks again and keep posting!
sure Marco! thank you to point that out, in this video wasn't intended to showcase all the sound capabilities of the HX3, it was more about showing how it works and how to use it with a midi controller like the Mojo, have little experience with it yet...(just did one gig with it) but I'm planning to do a better showcase and compare it to my A100, etc! ✌️
Marco, I totally disagree. 888000000, C3, On, Soft, Fast, 3rd is the HARDEST sound for a clone to get right! I think the HX3 comes the closest of any clone right now.
Mitch Towne: I am a big fan of the HX3 which I own since it was released a couple of years ago. BUT, the B3-X software orgen sounds at least as good. Couldn’t believe it when I first tried. Especially the percussion of the B3-X even sounds a tad more realistic to my ears. Wonderful times for Hammond B3 enthusiasts who don‘t own the real thing. JMTC
Buenos días Abel! Magnifico vídeo! Una vez contactamos por wallapop y comentaste que te andabas armando un controlador para manejar el HX3… Finalmente lo has montado?
@@AbelBoquera Did I understand correctly that all clones using software emulations (instead of h3x) have this latency issue? Or some (like mojo) more then others? In the interview with the h3x creater Carsten Meyer, he mentioned other emulators have up to 10-15ms latency not 30ms. Seems much.
Didn’t test the Mojo desktop but they are different products, the Hx3 module doesn’t have drawbars so you need a controller for that. The Mojo sounds good, but I still prefer the HX3!

Great video! Thanks for all the info! I just bought one!
Thank you 🙏 enjoy!!!

I can tell you with first hand experience that it is fantastic.
Glad to have you here Mitch, thanks for your comments, I know you have lots of experience with the HX3 and other clones. Welcome!
My Mag is fantastic with lighter springs than the regular TP/8O. And there‘s no latency as opposed to a Midi connection.
Rayy‘s Musikladen - It plays much better in The MAG than as a MIDI module. You’re right!
Yeah Abel! Thaks for that video. You are a awesome musitian and I’m so glad to check that tutorial and that nice explanation of the new “toy”.
Roger Serrahima thank you Roger!!! hahah abraçada!!!
Ciao. Scusami, ma i controlli sull'organo sono tutti funzionanti? Cioè, tutti i controlli sull'organo pilotano il modulo?

Maybe the HX3 is the closest in general :-)

Hi there
Do you think the differnce in sound and feel is it worth to go for that HX-3 module compared with the Mojo?
Nope
Wait the mojo has latency, between pressing down a key, and the sound being triggered?
yes did the measurements and it has almost 30ms latency because it's sound generator is from a plugin.

yes! that’s correct!
Where can I buy this HX3 Module? I can't find it anywhere, the brand went bankrupt?

This or Crumar Mojo desktop?

What software version is your HX-3?
Hi John! is the 3.5 version!
This is a Mojo ;-) Module HX 3
Yes Gerrit, the Mojo is used here as a midi controller for the HX3 Module.
