I never saw the importance of baptism before because i thought it was nothing more than a public declaration of faith. But now that I understand it I am aware of its great importance. Thank you for this good research.

@@stopcensorship7365 From what I understand,If you feel that the dedication you made was to the Father in Heaven, you don't need to do another baptism because The Father has approved of you.But if you did it for other reasons like to please parents and family or for privileges or to remove the mark on your back ( if you're done studying and don't get baptised within 6 months you are a marked person in the congregation)
If the dedication you made was to The Creator you don't have to redo it.
How do you know ? If you feel it was wrong , you should probably redo it.but if you Don't you're also good.

This is a very powerful piece of information that has plagued me for years , even the day i was baptised standing in front of huundreds of people i recall feeling uneasy about the contract of being being a part of jehovahs organisation , where does it say this in the bible - the org is a modern day bunch of pharasees , and wen christ truly returns he will call them the sons of vipers , full of human ideologies , lies , false prophecies and doctrins

JW's used fraudulent words to baptize me back in 1990. I was just a child and I clearly asked two things. I asked: Do you follow the bible and only the bible in your laws? and am I baptized in accordance with the bible teachings? They said yes but later when I grew up to adulthood I understood they lied to me. I was been baptized in the name of their Organization. And they rule with their unscriptural laws. because of that, I asked to leave and they disfellowshipped me. What can I say? I was full of fake friends who don't speak to me now. I live in Greece. Thanks, bro Eric for everything.

When I was baptised (1976) the questions were not about the org or being a JW but just in the name of the father son and holy spirit. Prior to that baptism we were required to inform our former religion if baptised in that we were no longer a member and to take our name of a list. When giving prayers at meetings usually always they say heavenly father, yet are not they just friends, yet JW call Jehovah heavenly father, according to the GB of JW the GC are the other sheep and are not in the same relationship to call God father, they are reminded time and time again we are only just friends until we prove ourselves worthy after the thousand years as we work towards perfection, it really is them and us and to work for our salvation invalidates faith in Christ sacrifice that we have this hope of being called children of God though our baptism.

I agree with your interpretation of this matter deducing from scripture. I mentioned to someone many months ago that as much as I resisted baptism with JW's I would actually like to be baptised individually outside of that establishment without a conveyer belt approach .. I feel that your video has cleared alot up & even if I cannot immediately resolve this I can now at least set my mind in the right direction & God willing I will know what to do if the opportunity arises.

When I was finding out about all of the lawsuits with the child cases, I remember I trying to have a deep conversation with my grandmother who is a devout witness about the truth of things and about the truth of the things that she has seen and she knows regarding that issue. Then I also told her I worried that my baptism was invalid because I was giving my allegiance to an organization and not to God and we should not swear oaths. Of course she kicked me out of her house but really that has always been on my mind and hasn't left and as I look today I find the video pop up exactly of what I was thinking about. You going to it with such great detail it matches my intuition and I thank God that he has put people in play that really cares about the same subjects and sheds light on it.
I'm definitely going to have to get rebaptized like I always felt I should.

@@BeroeanPickets Satan and those under his influence often mix lies with truths in an attempt to undermine our faith. (2Co 11:3) For example, the Assyrians used half-truths and outright lies to discourage Jehovah’s people. (2Ch 32:10-15) Apostates use similar tactics today. How should we react to apostate teachings? Treat them as the poison they are! Never read them, reply to them, or repeat them. Be quick to detect information that is designed to raise doubts about Jehovah and his organization-and reject it!-Jude 3, 4. (Romans 16:17) Now I urge you, brothers, to keep your eye on those who create divisions and causes for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them.
(Acts 20:30) and from among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.
Apostates like yourself enjoy mocking others. (Ps. 123:4) The Bible warned that in the last days, there would be no shortage of ridiculers. (2 Pet. 3:3, 4) Like the sons-in-law of righteous Lot, some people today pay no attention to divine warnings. (Gen. 19:14) Many laugh at those who live by Bible principles. The ridiculers are motivated by “their own desires for ungodly things.” (Jude 7, 17, 18)

It is a real eye opener as to what is required of us to be identified as Christians by our Lord Jesus Christ and His Father Jehovah Almighty.
1.Baptism in the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ which requires no special ritual or vow.
    2. Eating the Bread and Wine at the Memorial of the Lord's Death in our behalf as a Ransom.
    3. Living a Righteous and Morally upright life in accordance to the Godly Principles and Teachings Our Lord Jesus Christ gave us which is recorded in the Bible.

The minister baptised them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit .
The bible reading before hand was 2 cor 5 12 -21
      Be Reconciled with God .
I am sure in the two men hearts they believed they were baptised in the name of Jesus.
A Ministers wife once told me if you made changes in your life and every one saw the change in you , your Baptism counts
If you have been baptised before the Church will not Babtise you again

What is the difference between baptism and being born again? I was baptized Catholic, and recently studied with the witnesses for 2.5 years but there were too many things that stuck in my craw. The congregation were Beautiful devoted people and I love them, but I couldn't agree with the baptism restrictions and vows. When the lockdown came, I started following the Messianic Jewish tradition, where I partook in Passover and became born again. This meant I gave myself to the lord. So, now I'm confused. What is the difference between being baptized and being born again, if there is no water involved??? I keep hearing 2 schools of thought. "You must be baptized" "You must be born again" Which is it!

Simple, yet amazing, using the braiding of the hair. Each strand of hair contains the same properties, yet each strand is distinct from the other. Christ says For every hair on our head is numbered.
Hair number 222 is distinct from number 223, and 224, but each strand is still hair.
Now, it takes three strands to make one braid. Three strands, one braid. Repeat three strands one braid.
The Godhead, or trinity, have 3 persons, but make one God.
Each person has the same properties to be considered God, yet each person is distinct from the other.
Like the three strands subsist, meaning each person exists on its own, so do the three persons of the Godhead subsist.
The F, never becomes the S, or HS. The S, never becomes the F or HS. The HS, never becomes the F or the S.
Such teaching is modalism and is thus heresy.
Now, God, in infinite wisdom, placed the trinity on our heads to be closest to him and to honor him.
Now, everytime you see a person with braids, baptized or not, they are unwittingly honoring God.
Therefore, those who do not believe the trinity teaching, should never braid their hair. They should cut off their hair, so they won't have to worry about.
      Three strands, one braid.
      Three persons, one Godhead.
      Simple, yet amazing !
      How great, is YHWH!!!

Your baptism was mostly a contract for you to be disciplined under the GB rules and permission to affect your family relationship greatly. They excommunicated you by a stroke of a pen and reinstated you in the same manner. If you are truly waking up and can see that the organization is your middle man to Jehovah and not Jesus, then you would continue your personal prayers, study and growth to fully comprehend what a valid baptism and relationship via christ is. Your baptism is to represent your hope. When Jesus said at Matthew 28:19 baptizing them in the name, the phrase in the name of something simply means what it's called for. If it's called for you to have a heavenly hope, you get baptized in a symbol of that. If it's called for you to have a earthly hope you get baptized in a symbol of that. It's the power of one ; Ephesians 4: 5 one lord, one faith, one baptism. You can not compare how this system of things do things, compared to how God do things. For we are not Jesus Christ, we are only the brides of the christ.

I question the validity of water baptism. Water baptism was the baptism of John the Bpatizer. He baptized 'his' disciples with water. Even John the NB acknowledged that the one coming after him was GREATER than he and who would 'baptize' with "Holy Spirit and fire." (Matthew Chapter 3)
It is interesting that John the B did not want to baptize Jesus with his baptism (with water). Yet, Jesus allowed it this last time. Why? To show that water baptism would end and a new and greater baptism had arrived.
If Jesus' baptism is greater, why are so many STILL associating baptism with water?
Why do we NOT read of any instances of Jesus baptizing his chosen ones (Apostles) and disciples with water?
We DO see an outpouring of Jesus' baptism on Pentecost 33 upon his disciples. (Acts Chapter 2)
Those who get baptized in water are ignoring the greater baptism. Water baptism is a ritual and the baptism of John the B, not that of Jesus [the] Christ.
    This is a serious matter.
One knows something is wrong when the masses associate baptism with water rather than with Holy Spirit and fire.
I believe the world has been misled in this regard.
Thus neither The One True God and His Son are not be listened to or obeyed. (Luke 9:35 and Matthew 3:17)
John the B's baptism was for the reptenance of sins, not for the forgiveness or washing away of them. Only the greater baptism of Jesus Christ - Holy Spirit and fire - forgives and washes away the sins of the entire world thanks to his sacificial death in behalf of ALL ... ALL of the dead will be resurrected because of him. (John 5:28-29)
His shed blood has more power than water.

Local churches that believe in the Trinity I cannot do that, because I do not believe that, so it’s difficult to find a circumstance that meets my beliefs. So perhaps God will accept me as I am, because I dedicated myself to HIM, with respect for his SON, while recognizing at the time the JW organization was flawed.

Thank you for explaining this with the Holy Scriptures. You are right, Jehovah's Witnesses are not baptized in the name of Jesus. Instead they are baptized into a religious organization. Christians are baptized into Christ. It means we have turned away from the old life of sin to a new life in Jesus Christ.
The witnesses do not understand the true purpose and the profound spiritual truths of baptism. Let me explain these spiritual truths:
    *The Purpose*
Baptism is significant in that it represents the forgiveness and cleansing from sin, that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism publicly acknowledges one's confession of faith and belief in the gospel message. It also symbolizes the sinner's entrance into the community of believers.
    Biblical support: Acts 2: 38
"And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
To baptize in Jesus’ name means to do so in obedience to His power or authority.
Baptism is a outward confession of the experience that has occurred inwardly in a believer’s life. In water baptism we stand before God, confessing our identification as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
It means we are publicly identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
Baptism represents 3 profound spiritual truths of death, resurrection and cleansing*
    *Death*
We live by faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ lives in us.
The former man is buried and a new character as a Christian is raised.
The following verses explains this truth.
    Colossians 2: 12 - 13
And having been buried with Him in baptism, you were raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.
13 When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses,
    *Resurrection*
The Christian believer is united with Christ to live a new spiritual life.
    Romans 6:4-5
"We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection." (NIV)
    *Cleansing*
Cleansing is the washing through the water of baptism, symbolizing the believer's cleansing from the stain and filth of sin through God's grace.
Here we read 1 Bible verse:
    1 Corinthians 6:11
"But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (NIV)

My dear brother in Yeshua, I have watched your video instruction on the question of baptism and I would like to thank you for your scripturally sound expose on what baptism really is and I pray that Yehovah blesses your efforts in the pursuit of the truth.
A couple of points to also consider is that, whilst Yeshua (Jesus) was alive he was a man, although he was God’s son, he was born of man from the womb of Miriam (Mary) and, as such he had the flesh of a human being and therefor, he suffered from similar traits that all humans have in that he had inherited sin in the flesh. The difference between Yeshua and the rest of humankind is that he successfully resisted all sin. It would be logical to surmise this for, if Yeshua had no sin as suggested by Christendom as a whole, Satan would not have been able to tempt him as he did for, he would have known that his efforts would have been futile.
Secondly, it is worthy to bear in mind that a person’s baptism is an act that is expressly between Almighty God and the one being baptized, there is no person or organisation that has the authority to revoke a person’s baptism. As you rightly say, baptism is a condition of the heart, we are baptized in the name of Yeshua ha’Mashiach (Jesus Christ), we have now (spiritually) killed off the old person that we were and, as we come up out of the water we are “born again” from the water, spirit and blood and these three testify before Almighty God that we are His children. 1John 5:7, 8. (It would be good to study what “grafted in” means in terms of the promise).
Shalom to all the brothers and sisters in Yeshua.
    Numbers 6:24-26.

I think there is a scripture that says, and I quote under correction, ...and God MADE him sin for us..." And "...he carried our sins on him..." I believe that we should understand it in this context. But he was a perfect person just like Adam was perfect before he sinned. The bible refers to Jesus Christ in Corinthians as the "...last Adam." Or one can also say as some translations put it, "...second Adam." After he sinned, Adam was unable to rescue his offspring from death and couldn't transfer perfection to his children anymore. Jesus came as a perfect man who can restore perfection to those who believe in him. Jesus in this way became the spiritual eternal father for them as he is responsible for their new spiritual birth.

As you are probably aware, there have been many debates throughout the centuries concerning the deity of Yeshua, and the constraints of text here on RUclips do not provide space enough to fully explore this topic, my I suggest that you undertake a through personal study into the matter and I feel sure that you will arrive at the same conclusion.
You are quite correct in your statement that Yeshua (Jesus) was a perfect man, as was the first man Adam (Hebrew: man). We know this because Yeshua can rightly be called the second Adam. Yeshua was not Almighty God as the teaching of Christendom tells us, he couldn’t be for many reasons however, Yeshua was the image of Almighty God in that he reflected Fathers qualities 100% so, as a figure of speech Yeshua could be recognised as the word made flesh as he spoke only what the Father told him to say. (John 1:14; 14:10).
In 2 Corinthians Paul is discussing the reconciliation between Yehovah and mankind and his words are true when he told the Corinthian congregation that “… He (Yehovah) hath made him (Yeshua) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. “
The key words here are “who knew no sin” which is an accurate statement as, unlike Adam, Yeshua did not commit any sin whatsoever however, it does not imply that he was not subject to the temptations that we all suffer from, if he did not have the same feelings as us then, in effect his mission and death would have been pointless for it would have been a foregone conclusion that he would have succeeded no matter what happened.
We can be sure that even Yeshua had the potential to sin as is true with all mankind, the difference between Yeshua and us is that he succeeded and, by doing so he paid the ransom price demanded for our redemption.
We can also be sure that Yeshua, whilst on earth, was a man, just like the rest of us. The proof if this can be found at 1 Timothy 2:5. Sin is defined as transgressing the commandment of Yehovah 1 John 3:4. Anyone breaking God’s law is committing a sin.
When we compare Adam with Yeshua we find:
Adam = Perfect man that fell form perfection by disobeying Almighty God’s commandments.
Yeshua = Perfect man that never broke the commandments of Almighty God and therefore he remained sinless.
I pray that this might help you in your search for truth.
      Shalom Aleichem.
      Numbers 6:24-26.

Thank you. I have also heard that we may partake in the flesh and blood of Christ all year if we choose to. Does that operate the same way? Say, “I am partaking upon the bread and wine in honor of Jesus’s sacrifice?” And that’s it? Is it sufficient?

For today there was born to you in David’s city+ a savior,+ who is Christ the Lord.+ Lk2.11 Jesus from birth was already the Messiah or Christ. Not at the point of being baptized. Jesus was the Christ of Jehovah.+ when alteady as an infant. Cf. Lk2.26. Nevertheless baptism is unmistakably the starting point for all Christians making Jesus Lord. The longest period to get baptized in the NT was 3 days hold by the Apostle Paul, Acts 9.9,18. Baptism occurred at once in the early NT Church, without delayment.

Not recommended. :) (That's my answer,... not speaking for anyone else.) Surely those who ask this question..and you are far from the first... know at least one other human being who is willing and able to enter into a body of water with the baptizmal candidate and baptize that person. That was the model the Bible gave us. One human baptizes another human.

@Neal Fernan In Sweden of the 1960s and 1970s, the era of the Swedish State Church was coming to a close...you might compare it with the late Romans who had stopped believing in the official religion with the ancient gods.
I will not go deep into politics, but a well-funded and well-run welfare state of the Scandinavian model is the secular embodiment of the Golden Rule.
      - See Maslow's pyramid of needs: When the basic needs are cared for, traditions no longer are so important for a sense of security, and people strike out embracing other ideas, ideals and goals.
The religious and non-religious here share the same values. You might say we are "cultural Christians" but without the carrot of a heavenly reward. BTW the religious are not suffering any repression, it is more a sense that religion (or the lack of it) is a private issue. (I am still a member of the church and pay a nominal fee because I like the social programs the church is running)

Ok. I will admit I guess you could say one could be baptized in a Jacuzzi or a bath tub because as you say it is “between yourself and God”. Acts (8:26-40) When the Ethiopian eunuch received baptism, we don’t know what formula was used, the only one there to witness the baptism was the guy driving the chariot. So I guess you are right baptism could be just between you and God. I am hoping that when I get baptized a lot of people will witness my baptism and dedication to Jesus. fine!
Here is the rub it is Matt 28:16-20, The Great Commissioning. Says “baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the holy Spirit.” V19. You say that earlier texts don’t have this formula but it was added in in later years by a copies or scribe.
Here is my question can you give me a source or a quote from a biblical scholar or show me the earlier text that does not have the Matthew 28:19 formula. I have read trinitarian and non-trinitarian (oneness pentecostals) and I have found no where that anyone has said the Matthew formula as added later. It seems strange that non-trinitarians would be quick to point that out if it was true. Just show me a source that proves the Matthew formula was added in later years (please, a source outside of JW. literature) I have been studying the truth for six or seven years and it came to my attention from another brother who found a JW source that was taken out of context and just recently I too found a mistake by Watchtower not quoiting the full source. So please just a source outside of JW. literature because I can’t find it. Thank you

This was for me a little spurious because most know that Eusebius was a non-trinitarian and always was before and after the Council of Nicea. Matt 28:19 says, “Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit”. Does anyone think non-trinitarian Eusebius who remained a non-trinitarian after the Council would add this to the Matthew text after the Council of Nicea? I don’t think so.
“Will we ever know if the words are genuine or not?”
Perhaps. Biblical scholars may be lucky and gain access to previously undocumented manuscripts. Indeed, new technologies are already helping scholars to read previously illegible manuscripts. Such discoveries may one day help resolve the issue.
There is the issue, we really don’t know but after reading all the conspiracy theory I will say one thing I like The 2001 Translation Septuagint.
Finally read this from Biblical Unitarian
      It makes more sense
      www.biblicalunitarian.com/articles/is-matthew-2819-a-forgery
The reason the question is so important is because I want to know what formula I should be baptised with. Which would be more acceptable to Jehovah and Jesus. I just want to make sure in my own mind that I chose the right one.
But thank you for your help. It has helped me.
