Being an A'tin makes me proud when Filipinos dominate the music world not just in the Philippines but other countries as well. Kyler reminds me of Justin. These guys and other PPop groups needs the support of every Filipino. We should be proud of them.
MLD looks like a fun company to work with. I mean just look at their building. How they present it outside also reflects whats happening on in the inside.
Just looking nice means absolutely nothing. Yes it’s better than looking shitty but these days in the 20s it’s the bare minimum. Don’t forget that mld staff took photos of momoland undressing in the changing room and I believe this involved Nancy when she was a literal minor (debuted at 16 and was still under 18 until right after their blowup). They’ve already debuted two 13 year olds which is smth that should never happen and you can’t even trust them with minors after what happened with their first group. Plus they manage them so poorly after the first two comebacks. T1419 was treated extremely well in predebut with tons of contents and then a comeback just two months after debut and another 5 months later but then we got a lot of silence. It took half a year longer to finally get more music but it was just a release in Japanese and then later translated to Korean for a “comeback” which screams lazy. Then they changed the name and gave another song but again it’s been over half a year and no signs of a new comeback when it’s rlly important that young groups have at least 2-3 full comebacks per year. Lapillus got 2 in their debut year and then a long hiatus until finally just coming back. Idk if there is stuff going on behind the scene but definitely since momoland is already disbanded I will use them as my expectations for all their other groups bc I made the mistake of trusting cube 🙄 and thinking Lightsum would not be treated poorly bc they seemed to be making a turn around with idle. Well no they still ended up dropping two members with barely any reason and halting their promotions (except for Queendom rn which isn’t necessarily an indication of doing well bc Yeoreum of wjsn is there too and her group had been on hiatus for a full year)
Momoland was at the height of their career in 2018, yet the producers for that group kept recycling old songs (assumedly trying to replicate the success which is never rlly a good idea to copy paste ex: dynamite n butter 🙄) and then after their big comebacks they decided to fire two members and not tell the fans much, leaving many of us to hope that they’d return (it was at this point that I stanned the group), then later in 2019 another member was half dropped and then later fully taken out of promos whilst still being under the company but her side is a bit more complicated. They were still pretty big but loosing popularity FAST. Mld did not take advantage of all the new eyes on them from 2018 and by 2020-2022 were only giving them one song per year and most of it was just collabs one even being only a remake (though it did go viral but it’s mostly bc the song was already popular). Then after all that, they disbanded them when they had so much more potential if only mld would’ve harnessed it. It’s almost like they keep their groups intentionally nugu by delaying comebacks and having weak promo bc they know that if they took the spotlight they wouldn’t be able to handle the management. Also if they are big, it’s harder to hide any sort of abuse they do to the members. So if you hori7on nugu then go you I guess 👏. I cannot expect ANYTHING out of this company anymore. Trust broken.
