Both bands sound great. TNSU is full and amazing for a first season 5th quarter. MVSU has worked very hard. They are clean and well on their way to maintaining solid sound.
Valley sounds great for their size man. 7 rings was arranged perfectly for their band size! I’m glad valley got a staff that’s playing to their strengths. Good luck this year valley !

David Johnson TBH they do have an identity they just need more horns to make their sound full. The writing appears to improve, now let’s start recruiting. They don’t need a huge band but a solid 150 would do.

Mvsu dancers A+ theyve came far man... MVSU band A++ They really got the mind set to kill a mosquito with a AXE. Tennessee state i really thought they got smaller but they look kinda packed in them stands. They did Good but it didnt suprise me because they always do good. Especially with them opening up alot more.

Tenn state is about to be a problem this year. They've always had a clean and crisp sound but they are bigger and have a nice full sound this season. Great video quality. Thanks for sharing.

People better watch out for TnSU this year. They're clean, powerful, full, and seemingly balanced. But my school is getting back on track. Valley sounds clean! They're only missing the power but that'll come with more members. I'm excited about the future.

@@cchisolm92cc the band director at the time went over the budget for recruitment which is why the band growth shot up in such a short time and placed the band in a precarious situation which hurt them badly but I would honestly take this valley over any other. The sound, fullness, and clarity is there. This is the valley we need. Not Valley the SWAC band but simply Valley just because a program is SWAC doesn't mean it has to be one with a million kids simultaneously blowing their faces off. Anyways I'm am just excited to see growth and to see so many bands doing well

Both bands did good. MVSU will only get better. TNSU always sounds good and will always be the best balanced band their is, but honestly I'm shocked at how good the Sophisticated Ladies look and have gotten better IMO. They look damn good.

I mean...that's a good size stadium; If a band can still sound that strong on camera, they're playing good. MVS too, with a smaller band.

Im really rooting for Valley its time for them to step up . If they can funnel Coahoma in to that band and recruit heavy in memphis they could make some noise in the years to come

MVS actually sounds good for their size I can’t lie. If they had the size like any other band (200-250) strong they would very much be a problem!!! I’m from Mississippi (Jackson) to be exact and it’s a lot of heritage at JSU and ASU for them (Valley St.) to recruit large number of students willing to go to itta bena MS, but the directors are doing a great job with what they got!!! It’s still #Thee #i #Love

I dont mind big Stadiums. I hate when they are on opposite ends of the field instead of across the field from each other. Both bands on the 35yd line is perfect.

@Williams Twins its actually not a highschool thing. Its actually stems from collegiate and DCI bands. Color guard or flag corps have been used in university programs for decades. Its just that a lot of programs are bringing them back to have more of that visual presentation along with the band for a better look. They actually have an amazing flag line. Nowadays it seems like kids jump into it without taking it as serious or putting in the time and work but they look clean as always.
