3 Questions Please : 1 when did the 2017 model came out & when is the 2018 model comes out ? 2 Is the SRT Model Available ? 3 Is This Car Overall Better Than The Dodge Cars In Luxury & Speed & Using Because when i drove Charger it was little bit small & Tiny from the inside
1) The new Chrysler model years usually come out between Summer and Fall, so I would guess the 2018's will be here in 3-6 months. 2) There is no SRT 300 available anymore in the US, but it is still available overseas. Last year for a US based SRT 300 is 2014. 3) Better is kinda subjective, but between the 300 vs Charger I would say it's just a different style car really as most of the options, engines, trim, etc carry over as they are both built on the same frame. The Charger would be more performance oriented as you go into the Scat Pack/SRT trims where as the 300 leans more Luxury as it goes towards the C/Platinum trims. I have a 2015 300S V8 with all option EXCEPT Tech Package and love IT! I get complements on it in parking lots all the time... I'm am looking to buy my first car and I have narrowed it down to the mitsubishi mirage g4 se in mercury gray I was wondering if you could do a in depth review for me 😊😊🚘🚘🚗🚗
Had a 1999 300 M. Loved that car. Looking at either an AWD 300 or Charger in the 2016/17 age range now. Any thoughts from those with experience with either would be greatly appreciated.
In the S model trim there are very minor differences. I have a 2015 300S V8 with all option EXCEPT Tech Package....., the exterior is identical to the 2017's except in the 15' you could only get the rear color-matched spoiler with the V8 option, but now it can be optioned on the V6 with the Appearance Package and the fog light shape/location is slightly modified. On the interior I see only two changes, #1 the Uconnect system is upgraded to the latest version but nothing more than page cosmetics and firmware and #2 some door and console trim has changed. On my 2015 the larger trim on the upper doors and around shifter is a silver honeycomb carbon/matte finish and the thinner door trim on the upper and lower door is gloss black like the upper console trim. On the 17's the larger door trim and shifter surround is gloss black and the thinner trim is now matte silver. I prefer the 2015 trim as it is a sportier look and less gloss shiney stuff IMHO.
If you consider window motor failures, wiper failures, seat belt failures, electric seat failures, and axle failures reliable then these cars are #1. I've had multiple friends and family all have the same issues with chargers, 200's and 300's. My bro got a 300s, he's had 2 center diff failures, a failed ball joint, tie rod popped off, tires went balled , front suspension falling apart, trunk opens while driving and a few other issues all under 25k miles. If you think a Chrysler is reliable then you're an absolute idiot. 9/10 of the time if you see a brand new car on a flat bed it's a Chrysler, jeep or dodge.
They are reliable. We took a road trip over the summer in our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit, and it drove like a dream and got there just fine. And it had 75k miles on it. People complain about their reliability, but it's not true. Half the people who talk crap about these cars probably haven't even owned one.
If it has 75k on it and is still running without any issues at all it was a lucky buy. Chrysler has a long dark history with reliability going back to the 60's. Anyone that wants to defend Chrysler bring data. I mean the Chrysler 200 is in the top 5 most unreliable cars on the market for a few years now. Not my opinion, fact. I'll bet the next brand new car you see on a flat bed will be a Chrysler. Next brand new broke down car on the side of the road will be a Chrysler. Good luck buying Chrysler, the only Chrysler product I would ever recommend is a Ram but why get a ram when you can have a Ford or GM?
Learned something new, nice video. No need to spend the extra money on Navigation once you plug your phone you can control it from the touch screen. We had the old system in a 16 scat pack Challenger it’s much smoother now. The 6 cylinder with 8 speed tranny does the job if you want to save money on cost and insurance. I’m happy that I’ve seen people supercharge them cause I can see that happening once it’s out of warranty.
In the S model trim there are very minor differences. @God's Bastard - Love it! My first V8 and the torque is great especially i "Sport Mode" acts way more aggressive and responsive. Came from back to back Infiniti G37x Sedans and they have a great V6 AWD @ 330hp but the 300S is way more fun from a light. :)
In the 2015 and I belive 2016 models, YES as John said, the spoiler ONLY came with the 300S HEMI V8, now on the newer model years you can get the "Appearance Package" which imitates the V8 standard options. I have a 2015 300S V8 just like the 17' in the video White on Black is KILLER with tinted windows!
Hi Mike, doing great there my mate, thanks for doing the wheel sizes mate, and now another thing to consider, every one that does car shows like you always show the the car key and says that there is one locked inside, mate how about showing us how the key comes out and show it. till next time me old mate bye for now
I'm driving a rental. Same car but all black. Not quite the boat I expected but definitely a boat. Nice to know more about the settings even though it will be gone in a week. As for soft touch interior, its just loaded with hard plastic and I think the door armrests are far too firm. The 'leather' steering wheel is so firm it feels like its made of steel. Nitpicking I guess. For the price it's not bad. Would I buy one? No.
No such animal.... The "Appearance Package" adds the features that are standard w/ the V8 to the V6. Black Chrome Surround 300S Grille Body-Color Fascia Applique Body-Color Fascias Lower Grille Close-out Panels Close-out panels on the grille help support the front fascia on Chrysler 300. Premium LED Fog Lamps Rear Body-Color Spoiler Get the 300S V8 and skip the V6 Appearance Package.... It performs and looks pretty! :)
Not standard but available as part of the option packages. My 2015 has them. Also available "Cooled" or Ventilated Leather Trim Sport Seats which was not an option available on the 2015's.
I don't want to break the camera :) besides I like to keep the focus on the vehicle rather than myself. It annoys me when I watch other videos when the presenter is always in front of the camera and almost always between the camera and the car... I'm like, "get out of the way, I am trying to learn about the car not you!"
Say what you will about the Chrysler 300 and 300C but they must have gotten the formula "right" I was amazed at the sales numbers from when it was first released 12+ years ago! My Mom owns a 2006 300c with 28,000 miles and aside from the issue when you fill the gas tank that it stalls ( I think its now recalled) the cars been OK. I'm a Lincoln guy and own a Mark VIII with 300,000 miles that still runs like a champ with the original untouched engine and the tranny was changed at 263,000. Back to Chrysler ..... they got the right formula, rear drive, V8 (300c) traditionally mounted engine, smooth ride and roomy interior. I was shocked to research and find out that Chrysler sells more 300s in 2 months then Cadillac or Lincoln has sold in a YEAR period! The 2017 Continental so far has sold about 8500-maybe 10,000 the past year (8 month period) and the new Cadillac CT6 is lagging behind Lincoln with even less sales! The 300 and 300C are still selling like hot cakes! So far for 2017 they've sold over 35,000 !!! I think Lincoln and Cadillac should take a CAREFUL look at the 300 and see what it has that their products don't that's luring the public into buying them! I can tell you that it is NOT Quality or materials! I am a car guy and from a built quality stand point and use of high quality parts the Cadillac and Continental are definitely BETTER then the 300, yet their not selling nearly as well! WHY? I suppose price point, but the Continental starts around $46,000 and comes decently equipped for that amount. Cadillac starts around mid 50s A shame that Chryslers stole the Market share from the others, but they must have the RIGHT formula and have earned it! Even the first generation Chrysler 300s 2005?-2009 had the right look. Bold, in your face bad ass look. Interiors even on the 300c is honestly crap! Cheap plastic all over and nothing better then an entry level Hyundai BUT it all LOOKS good on the outside and I think THAT is what people way more then inside.
I also have it and I think it is good for certain kinds of music but there is a big lack of mid range. I am hoping a new set of door speakers will help with the mids. The high frequencies are over powering and irritating. The bass is amazing.
Right the piano veneers nice the older faux wood trim could miss the mark. the floating badge is a nice idea. Had a 05 C hemi loaner so the changes are noticeable. The 05 was better then a lot of reviews gave her drive 100 miles then say something in some models it takes a longer adjustment period..it was very good side by side to brothers Fusion SEL The gauges are updated the 11' was a nice retro style. but the new ones lay out better for glare.
It makes the engine compartment less cluttered and helps with an more balanced weight distribution. It also keeps the battery away from the extreme heat of the engine.
It’s 2019 and no Safety Tech?? No blind spot, no automatic braking, no rear cross traffic alert, no lane keep assist?? You can buy a $15,000 Nissan Versa that has all that. It’s like your driving a car for the early 2000’s. It does have a awesome infotainment system but that’s it.
This have the 8 speed tranny an comes whit reability issues like other ZF products.. the old school 5 speed its rock solid transmisssion like 2005 -2013 whit come in hemi engines but no longer available.
Njturtlepower, I'm right, they will not change the 300 body style, rather if it's 2018 all the way up to 2020..read the whole article all the way down, it's the end of the 300

The back seems kinda tight for three passengers.. I'd assume a kid in the middle would be fine, but three adults in the rear is way to tight of a fit. I'd believe an 01-07 Taurus would have more room in the back.
I cant believe Chrylser is still holding on to this body style. This Chrysler 300 body style was introduced in 2010 for 2011 Its way way overdue for a complete redesign. Chrysler if you can read this...Enough with this damn body style!! Stop being lazy and redesign this car already!!

Sound proofed glass, but are the doors themselves? I heard Chrysler lighted the car a few years ago, and that resulted in more noise. Is that true?
wish they would use the shift handle from the charger
can u please do a 2016 Infiniti qx80 limited PLEASE😓
Hey mike does this car have an electric rack and pinion?
Mines same year and has the dual sunroof? Do some just not have them?
Sunroof was optional.
Can you do a review on a 2017 Toyota Highlander? Please.
2017 full sized luxury sedan with yellowy halogen head lamps??
Is there a way to distinguish a V6 Chrysler 300 and a Hemi from the exterior? I can never really tell unless they rev the engine or something.
Not really.
puneet7891 yes there is. In the S the V8s have a rear spoiler. In the other trims though there is no distinguishing factor.
Ok how do you take this out of park if your battery dies or your car won't start to have it towed?
There is a strap hidden under a cover in the console that can be pulled to put the vehicle in neutral manually.
Thank you for another great video! How far can you go on a full tank? Roger PS. What is the MPG on the 3.6L?
Hi Mike, doing great there my mate, thanks for doing the wheel sizes mate, and now another thing to consider, every one that does car shows like you always show the the car key and says that there is one locked inside, mate how about showing us how the key comes out and show it. till next time me old mate bye for now
Good idea Thanks Colin :)
thanks for the review. I'm thinking about maybe switching to the 300S in red.
What camera do you use to film with? The video quality is very nice. Thx
Sony ax100
I have a video on my channel where I show all my gear.
Awesome video brother!the next 300 you review can you do the 2018 300s sport please?
Could you please review a GMC Sierra Denali?
+Bryce Powell I'll try :)
No.
Halogen Lights? Is it 1990?
Can you do a review of a 2017 Chrysler 300S HEMI model with the Sport Appearance Package please!!!!!!!!
No such animal.... The "Appearance Package" adds the features that are standard w/ the V8 to the V6.
Black Chrome Surround 300S Grille
Body-Color Fascia Applique
Body-Color Fascias
Lower Grille Close-out Panels
Close-out panels on the grille help support the front fascia on Chrysler 300.
Premium LED Fog Lamps
Rear Body-Color Spoiler
Get the 300S V8 and skip the V6 Appearance Package.... It performs and looks pretty! :)
so does the 2017 300s not come with heated rear seats?
no
Karan Kaushal
yet the kia optima does lol
Not standard but available as part of the option packages. My 2015 has them. Also available "Cooled" or Ventilated Leather Trim Sport Seats which was not an option available on the 2015's.
Thanks mike you always made great video, We wish to make at night review if you can, and thank you again 🌹
It's amazing how this car has basically looked the same since 2004...
Pat Evans it's gotten tweaked
Pat Evans if it aint broke, dont fix it. I heard tho they are gonna make it look like the 200 and pacifica soon.
Mike, Have you ever considered an actual camera operator so you can be on camera demonstrating the vehicles?
I don't want to break the camera :) besides I like to keep the focus on the vehicle rather than myself.
It annoys me when I watch other videos when the presenter is always in front of the camera and almost always between the camera and the car... I'm like, "get out of the way, I am trying to learn about the car not you!"
MikesCarInfo. Ha....I figured you were trying to keep your overhead costs down.
No gps?
This is a chrouser, so it's a bit odd that it does not have more bass on the stereo system, but is probably enough for families then.
Purple coolant, even the coolant screams luxury.
Is the audio/speakers system good?
I have this vehicle and the sound is awesome! Really amazing bass.
The 05 was better then a lot of reviews gave her drive 100 miles then say something in some models it takes a longer adjustment period..it was very good side by side to brothers Fusion SEL
The gauges are updated the 11' was a nice retro style. but the new ones lay out better for glare.
Goals for Next Year !
My 2012 has heated cooled cup holders
why's the battery in the trunk?
It makes the engine compartment less cluttered and helps with an more balanced weight distribution.
It also keeps the battery away from the extreme heat of the engine.
*Great video*
Big fan from iraq continue bro
Good video! Thanks!
This is my dream car
Chrysler has been pimping this model since 2005....YAWN!
Anyone having a roof leak problem with the make, model and year??
What is the cost for this car?
28:25
My ultimate dream car, next to my play car an older corvette😆
Those classic exhaust covers...
Safety? If there was a head-on collision between a 300 and a Versa... what car would you rather be in?
This have the 8 speed tranny an comes whit reability issues like other ZF products.. the old school 5 speed its rock solid transmisssion like 2005 -2013 whit come in hemi engines but no longer available.
The 8 speed is solid.
you cant even spell.....
*When the Chrysler 300c passes by* *People watching* OH LOOK IT'S A ROLLS ROYCE
How much is it
14:05
That thing got a Hemi in it!?!
he started off with the engine bay. this one had the awad winning 3.6L pentastar v6 VVT.
Paul Frankel
not anymore since they stopped making the srt8 trim for the 300. Had low sales apparently.
The Hemi is an option if you go to their website
The hemi v8 is still available
I love it so much
My buddies got chocolate milkshake in his radiator right now, 2017 v6, almost 99k miles
The v6 model has way to many issues they tend to drop oil pressure knock and throw a rod
Njturtlepower, I'm right, they will not change the 300 body style, rather if it's 2018 all the way up to 2020..read the whole article all the way down, it's the end of the 300
As long as your channel has been up, have you ever done a 2011-2014 Chrysler 300 SRT-8?
Never seen one.
Hashtag Aidan C. definetly need to get your hands on 1
I agree the comment below. This content does deserve more viewership, but the youtube game is revolved around teenagers doing stupid shit. Great content on this channel. You deserve more views/subs for sure. Keep it up!
Legitness
I've decided on MOPAR for future car, but I'm really disappointed that Chrysler didn't transition out of the halogen bulbs. :-(
The Platinum has Adaptive Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps.
www.chrysler.com/model-compare/detailed-chart/?modelYearCode=CUC201601&ccode=CUC201601LXCH48A,CUC201601LXCH48D,CUC201601LXCL48B,CUC201601LXCS48A,CUC201601LXCR48A§ion=exterior
@ MikesCarInfo FYI that's not true, in my 2015 300S V8 the "Light Package" added the Adaptive Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps.
In the MY2017 you now get them as part of the 300S "Premium Group 2" package. Adaptive Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps along with the Automatic Headlamp Leveling System and a ton of other features.
TONY37X I provided a link to support my statement. If you have evidence that shows that the Chrysler website is incorrect please share it.
MikesCarInfo Yes, the chart is wrong as many of the comparison tools often are. Go to the "Build & Price" and build one you'll see what I'm talking about.
Or look here @ MY17 print PDF on page #17 where they are calling it "300S PREMIUM GROUP": www.chrysler.ca/en_dir/pdf/2017/brochures/300.pdf
Here's a window sticker to a 2017 300S in inventory w/ Premium Group 2: www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=2C3CCABG9HH511898
- Adaptive Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps listed as first item in package list. We on the same page now?
Driving a Chrysler 300 is like having a chrome trash can to try to impress your neighbors.
The back seems kinda tight for three passengers.. I'd assume a kid in the middle would be fine, but three adults in the rear is way to tight of a fit. I'd believe an 01-07 Taurus would have more room in the back.
Good car
Smoke free car no ashtray .
I would call it MINI ROLLS ROYCE because of its exterior
the interior is almost identical to my 2015 200s
Definitely one of the best non luxury sedans
I like it
Im sold.
i need this
For all those doing reviews: it's 2017, we all F*%^ing know how keyless entry car doors work, for pete sakes
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_consensus_effect
Lol
I cant believe Chrylser is still holding on to this body style. This Chrysler 300 body style was introduced in 2010 for 2011 Its way way overdue for a complete redesign. Chrysler if you can read this...Enough with this damn body style!! Stop being lazy and redesign this car already!!
If it aint broke dont fix it.. whats wrong with you
