You can absolutely swap out General Toril with General Lord Horatio if you don't have her unlocked/levelled up yet. The same goes for other generals, however, they won't be as effective. I didn't cover difficulty modes (easy, intermediate, etc.) because it's self-explanatory that the harder the mode, the harder the enemy castles
Although I've played this game for 10+ years and have learned a lot from in-game experiences, it would be a disservice not to include the other content creators who have kept everyone up-to-date on the best in-game strategies

Adding an extra info on the glory bonuses:
The honor gp bonus is multiplicative, unlike all the other bonuses which are additive.
[total glory] = [base glory] * [honor bonus] * [tool bonus + flag bonus + alliance bonus + ...]
So the honor bonus is very important. And the 42% gp bonus flag symbol, and the alliance temporary upgrade bonuses are very overpriced.
The symbol is the same as adding 8-9 pieces of 5% flags to the attack, but because the symbol is permanent it is worth it in the very, very long term. But the alliance bonus is the same as adding 20 pieces of 5% flags, and it only lasts for an hour / activation.
To demonstrate the importance of honor here's an example with 100 base glory (not a realistic amount, but easier to count with):
0 honor, 750 5% flags
100 * 1.00 * 37.50 = 3750 glory
0 honor, 750 5% flags, 100% alliance bonus
100 * 1.00 * (37.50 + 1.00) = 3850 glory
3000 honor (100% bonus), 750 5% flags
100 * 2.00 * 37.50 = 7500 glory

Just a few quick notes:
1) The General abilities are (for the most part) completely useless for events, as you usually breach the wall in the first wave. For that reason, it's better to just invest in the passive effects, like CY strength, CY/flank/front limit, etc.
2) When attacking a flank with more Melee Defenders than Ranged Defenders, using Wall and Anti-Range tools yields MUCH WORSE results than using Wall and Moat reduction tools.

Good stuff. Another thing to consider, if you have a hero that grants an extra wave, is that better than having a hero that increases glory by a percent? I think so. If u have an extra wave, u can get like 1300% glory bonus if u use the 10% booster flags. Ig it depends on how many flags u have tho. I basically only attack when my alliance puts bonuses on now, makes a big diff, combat strength and glory bonus.

It definitely would be better to equip a bonus wave hero to your best commander for the least troops lost and the most glory gained
Monuments - useless
Glory Symbols - useless
Ally bonus (for glory) - useless
Glory commander - useless
Glory memorial - useless
P2W Glory bonus - useless
All these things just add you % of your basic glory output, not % of your final glory output. For an example max out monument will give you glory worth 2 10% flags...
I mentioned this as a high end game player.
Yeah, at the end of the day the bonuses aren't actually that beneficial and usually have the same impact as only a few banners

So... Basically if you buy a symbol with 42% glory bonus for almost 196000,this mean you will have 8 more tools with 5% bonus in the attact. Such a waste of rubies.. M
This is how it is working...
It would just be a % bonus on top of the attack. You get more glory for sure, but that price tag is expensive
If you have an alt would you be able to show a guide for lower lvl players such as myself. We don't have as good of commanders so it becomes increasingly difficult. Thanks!

Artistic glory 46%. Do you increase Glory Points obtained without banners or are they increased with banners? I take 7 million I have 14% knowledge with 46% knowledge, how much glory will I get?
