In some prayers and psalms we hear a phrase 'for Thy name's sake'. I wouldn't say I fully understand its meaning. Does it mean 'because of Thy name' (as in The Beatitudes 'for righteousness' sake') or 'for the future glory of Thy name'? Could anybody please explain it?
