    Thank you for this! It's so hard to find information for those of us who have immune issues, and a lot og the info out there for the general population is very black and white leading to extremely conflicting statements - some saying you're no longer contagious after 7 days, some saying as long as you have a positive lft you are contagious. I wish more news was less angled and more honest like this.

    Wish they come up with a medicine or treatment for regular ppl bc the symptoms are brutal even if its for a few days.. The head and body ache for 3 days and then the horrible cough even after testing negative and with fever gone. The cough is like your lungs wanna come out thru your mouth

    I took a vacation to san diego from ny, no one wore masks in public places. No one seemed to care. I got it at a concert. What a nasty viral load, it doesn’t want to go. At least i fibally got it after 3 years of being good wearing masks and washing my hands, it took long. Covid is here. We got to live though, i was always isolating and anxious, now im not as afraid anymore. But i sure as do not want to get it again.

    I'm unsuccessfully trying to find out if with daily testing, does the test line start to fade in intensity in the days approaching a negative reading or does it just disappear one day. Day 9 and mine is just as intense as day 1.

      This may no longer be useful to you, but it could come around again. I've been testing for 12 days (17 days since onset of symtoms, I didn't have access to a test at first) and one day it came out really faint and the next it was strong again. All the information I've found suggests that even a faint line can suggest high levels of the virus and it's not necessarily a signifier that you are less contagious or closer to beating it, I'm afraid.

      @@Eloise_Please Day 12, it was finally very faint and completely gone Day 14. I recently had a close encounter with a Covid positive individual and did not pick it up so hopefully picked up a bit of natural immunity.

    I tested positive for 21 days. I was vaccinated and I took Paxlovid on day 2. Symptoms were coughing and severe nasal congestion. Never developed a fever, sore throat, or loss of taste/smell. Staying in quarantine for so long was the worst part but didn't want to risk infecting my family. Grateful for vaccine, Paxlovid and prayers of family and friends. They all worked for a good outcome.

      That's because putting a different substance on the test messes with its chemistry. If you follow the instructions, it will be accurate. We can live with it and stay safe at the same time by testing and taking precautions to protect people who might become severely unwell. Less people may be being hospitalised now, but long covid is no joke and we don't yet know if the current virus is still causing it.

    doctor at my clinic said those tests can show positive for weeks or even months just go by symptoms . this could end up shutting the entire workforce down over a test. Also a lot of private companies are forcing isolation without pay and you can't go back to work with a positive test. that's not a good thing. covid pay law has been discontinued in 2023. Bottom line is if you feel well enough to go back to work and your employer allows you to you should. My job put me in no pay isolation for over 10 days or until i test negative. that's 2 weeks loss of pay. been feeling fine after 3 days' but Kept testing positive until the 11th day. doctor said i could've returned days ago under CDC guidelines

      Just because you feel better after day 3, doesn’t mean you’re no longer contagious.
      If you went back while still testing positive, a diligent use of an N95 mask would help to keep you from spreading.

    • @christhompson6010
      @christhompson6010 8 месяцев назад

      @@cookie22100 CDC guidelines have changed. according to the doctor that tested me just because you show positive of the virus doesn't mean your contagious. you can show traces in your system via test for up to three weeks that doesn't mean you contagious she cleared me to go back to work. that's why they dropped a lot of mask mandates along with quarantine mandates. it's also why the sundowned mandatory shelter in place payments. it's up to private companies to set protocol
