Great tutorial Justin ! Rather than just explaining basics, you also give us a sense on how to use it which is more important that the effect itself. Thankyou man 🔥👍
Great timing Justin. This is what I needed and was going to search for it tonight. I've speed ramped before but surely needed a refresh and better understanding as drone projects need to be ramped up during the flight path. Thank you.
Thank you man, just discovered that this is the most used transition for travel videos. Appreciate you putting your time for making this video contents brother!
Paying you another visit, to get a refresher on speed ramping. Thank you for your ongoing contribution to this platform. Appreciate you, Justin. -Fellow content creator
SUCH a helpful video and thank your for explaining the frame rates so well!! I especially love the way Premiere key frames the speed ramping with smoothing out the key frames with ramps. Awesome content overall!
@@JustinOdisho Sorry I don't understand...Which frame rate should I shoot at if I want to slow down the video and make it look slow motion, cause the girl's video was at 24 fps and the other one was at 60 fps? And what type of timeline would I put that video on, 60 fps, 30 fps? Thank You
@@amitmadan496 You need a high FPS clip if you want to add slow motion to it, because you basically slow the clip down, therefore showing each frame more. So a 60 fps clip would be more suiting if you want to add slow motion to it.
Thanks bro. I will 100% be using this exact technique in my next video, actually just got the audio done today, if you wanna see what i'll be making.. Just fun to consider influences that people have... you've got the secret sauce that I need for this one camera trick I picked up from the Camera Transition Masterclass here on youtube, in terms of like swiping the camera and then jump-cutting that to some footage where you move the camera into the frame in the same direction you swiped the camera, so it has the illusion... I also want to make the ground shake, and being able to not only rewind time, but also slow it down like this.... damn, thank you so much for sharing these movie-magic secrets!!!! Priceless dude! you saved me a college degree lolololololl brilliant. thank you for making these tools of creation more accessable to dunces like myself, I wouldn't be able to do what I do, if you didn't do what you do, so nameste, ubuntu, all that jazz. cheers, love from london, and uh. yeah. Big ups and respect, brother thank you for putting this work together for the online community, it means the world to me and is concise enough that literally within 5 minutes, I can do slow mo ramping roflmao.... I had no idea what to click. thanks.....Now, to figure out how Snak the Ripper does that zoom-in effect on that track "trust the process".......... I wonder if he did it using the "limitless movie zoom" technique where you zoom into a square that has the next scene on it, then zoom that out into the next picture. idk. anyways. thank youuuuuu
This is the most simple speed ramping tutorial I've seen. And to be honest, the effort to result ratio is the best for this one. Also, is the motion blur on your mouse cursor done in post?
You want to know the easiest way to do a speed ramp, just cut the clip change the speed to whatever you want to slow it down to, then go to where you wanna stop it cut it again make it back 100 percent at the end. If you need to keep the audio, easy lock the video clips, go to the audio underneath drag the ending audio or beginning to the slow motioned part then delete the audio that’s slowed from the Slomo clip.
Hi this video helps me a lot, but I have a problem, the audio doesnt do the same, do u know how i can fix that? Sorry if i dont explain so well, english isnt my native language
No, unfortunately, you're not able to speed ramp audio. You'll have to manually adjust the speed using the Rate Stretch tool (shortcut R) to match the video clip you time ramped.
sir please help. Can i add time ramping for multiple visuals....as in select all...right click ..show clip frame ..time ramping...speed...coz if i select multiple visuals then the show clip keyframes option grays out
Is it best to Interpret Higher Frame Rate Footage to Lower Frame Rate Sequence or to leave the Higher Frame Rate alone and adjust the Clip Speed / Duration for smoother output?
I always film in say 60fps and interpret to 23.976 so it becomes slow motion on my timeline, and it appears that is what he has done here, then you can go back in and speed up in certain areas, so yes I would interpret before adding any speed ramps 👍🏼 the out put will be smooth like that
@@LindseyDara Thats what ive been doing as well, but being in Australia and using Pal for video format standard I film at 50fps and interpret to 25. Thanks for reply.

Excellent video, Justin! Im editing a video right now and you gave me a lot of ideas!
Hey! Amazing video! Can you tell us (details) how you slow mo'd the raw video footage plz :)
Hermano te quiero mucho
good
Do you have a video on optical flow ?????
bro when u showed the time interpolation example, you need to render in to out for it to show the effect...
please, i want you to answer this question. can u make a loq quality video to high and 30fps to 60-90fps in adobe pro?
Do you have to shoot the vid at a specific frame rate for it to be a smooth slow mo?
This is great, but how do you do this with the audio following?
Check my
Video on speed ramp
Audio fix
I got this from the algorithm, I don't have Premiere Pro
I don't do much editing
I'm not an editor
but this videos cool anyway
Thanks, how to speed ramp and keeping the audio back in sync after the end of speed ramp?

Hi there.
How did you edit that thumbnail image. I mean subject keep focus and background speed blur.
Is there any easy way or.
Thank yoy
Can you make slow Motion Singing video.Pls
is there a way to do this with the audio tracking the same thing as well
You can’t really ramp the Audio in premiere the same way
No, unfortunately, you're not able to speed ramp audio. You'll have to manually adjust the speed using the Rate Stretch tool (shortcut R) to match the video clip you time ramped.
sir please help. Can i add time ramping for multiple visuals....as in select all...right click ..show clip frame ..time ramping...speed...coz if i select multiple visuals then the show clip keyframes option grays out
Where is motion blur? I saw it in thumbnail....but in editing was not like it
Sorry it wasn’t meant to be showing blur but motion, if you want you can use after effects to do that using the time effects
@@JustinOdisho we need video like it...pls do for us thank you

Is it better to have interpreted footage slow motion or have it reduced by % slow motion?
I think it works the same both ways

What is the key that adds a key frame for windows (if you know)

Is it possible to keep the audio in a clip while time ramping?
